Hi Pat, After watching this video it brought back lots of memories eating these as a teenager and I am curious to know if it is possible to get some cuttings (Hog Plum) from you already with established roots of all three colors whether from your store or yard if you should have them available. We have limited space because of all the other fruit trees in our backyard. I'm also considering planting all three in the same hole or do some kinda grafting having one cuttings as the main tree the other two attached to it and or air layer if all this is doable and if so which would be the best option in your opinion🤔 I would love to hear your feedback!

I actually did video yesterday planting 3 in same hole. Video posting this Friday. I took the cutting that had the most roots. Several of my cuttings dried up. The ones that are remaining aren't ready yet. Only one red has sufficient roots.

So Sorry to hear what happened to those cuttings. I know it must be very frustrating and disappointing but keep me posted. I'm in no hurry I can wait until they are ready. I forget to ask if these cuttings originated from dwarf or medium size trees. Anyway, I will be looking out for the video this Friday😊

@@Frankie-ef3tx thanks. None are from dwarf. If you see them elsewhere grab them. Not sure how these will do it if they'll be up to standards to put in Etsy. I make sure the plant is 100% so I don't have to turn around and refund

Huh! I never knew there was an orange one. Where did you find this one? I have a red one and yellow one in a pot. The red one is leafing out, but the yellow one still has no leaves even though it's still green. I'm anxiously awaiting the opportunity to try these

I didn't know either. My sister bought what they told her is red coat. The plums were orange. I haven't actually tested any yet. She said they taste just like red

@backyardfarmerpat well I'm guilty of buying a plant that I've never tasted before lol. All the videos I've seen ppl rave about the hog plum so I thought I'd give it a try. Thank you for showing how easy it is to propagate thru cuttings and I'm anxious to see your video once you get to taste your orange coat.

Very hard to describe. Very unique taste. Sweet and tart. Some have firm flesh, some juicy. It can get very large
