- I'm excited to end the year so well, and even more excited to hop into 2020 and see what happens. I hope you'll keep sticking with me.
There's still a lot of changes I want to make to myself, my content, etc, but I intend for everything to be uphill from here. A part of me still kind of can't believe that my videos consistently surpass 50,000 views, and even 100,000. Thanks a million, y'all.
And we've actually managed to almost reach our 50,000 subscriber goal by the end of the year! I didn't think it was possible. Looking back, I recall how one of my New Year's resolutions last year was to reach 10,000 subscribers on RUclips. It's crazy, man.

EDIT: As a few people have pointed out, I misspoke regarding Joker's victory screen color. The color of it on non-Mementos stages will depend on which player number you are, it isn't always red. It was just always red for me since I was always Player 1. My apologies!
EDIT 2: Also it just took me till now to notice that I called Little Mac's Rising Uppercut the Jolt Haymaker. I'm not sure why but I had totally thought that the up b was called Jolt Haymaker, so I apologize for that confusion as well!

7:10 I just watched a video on Brawl, where some assets are actually stored off-screen so they can be potentially used in the match such as WarioWare's microgames. Maybe Pac-Man's final Smash is a unique "object" within the game that is stored off-screen so it can be used, but once it is used in game, that animation on the victory screen (which looks the same as his FS) counts the object as "used" and it diappears? Just random thoughts.
My theory is that it has to do with the object's visibility. The object starts off visible and off screen. Once the final smash ends, it gets set to invisible. At the start of the final smash, there is a piece of code that sets the object to visible so it is not affected. However, the victory screen is missing that piece of code due to an oversight. I wonder if ending the match in the middle of the final smash (using stamina mode maybe?) would cause a different result.
The 2D model probably stored somewhere in the code for the final smash to use it, and there is one in the victory screen code. When the final smash is used, the game searches for all models like it and uses on of them, and after the final smash both models are put back into the final smash code not allowing the game to access it for the victory screen.
I clicked your precious little time stamp while my video was paused and I saw the limbless little cheese wheel that you hold so near and dear, you coward.
The victory screen and FS probably use the same model and by default the model in stored in the victory screen but when used in the FS it is then stored in game so it can be used again.
If you click the time place thing while the video is paused, you get pac-man with no arms or legs
Here’s a Duck Hunt fact for you -
Spawn the can then hit it with the third hit of forward smash. Then hit it. The direction and speed at which it’ll fly greatly differs than normal. This is most notable with jab.
9:41 the most likely reason this happens is that the icon is the ACTUAL stock icon, and those by default stay in from of Nintendog during a match, in the UI

I’m not an expert on these things by any stretch of the imagination, but my theory in the pack man final smash one is that his final smash and victory screen use the same model, and at the end of the final smash it runs some code to hide it, including from the victory screen

The pacman victory screen visual bug probably accurs because when the 2d pacman sprite is loaded in-game, its supposed to be stored just in case of another final smash on a folder but is moved to another location and the game doesn't open it on the endscreen since the code thinks "its already been used", when the developers decided to re-use the sprite for the victory screen they never botherd to actually code it properly (wich is very common in a lot of games) and when the match screen closes (aka the ready for next battle screen) all the code gets reset just incase of a visual bug that might bug some players or a game breaking glitch (not a glitch that crashes the game) might occur that might accidentally delete save data, etc.
That's my theory atleast, i can't prove this unless it's datamined but after studying a lot of work by other developers i'm pretty sure it's an answer close to this

About the Pac Man victory screen:
His regular model is swapped out during the Final Smash with the 2D version. So perhaps when the game tries swapping his model to the 2D model once again for the victory screen, it finds nothing because the 2D model is already being used. With nothing but empty space in that part of the code, the game applies to Pac Man what it finds: nothing. When swapping his model back to the normal 3D model, there is no issue because that model is being stored in the background somewhere as normal, waiting to be swapped back in.
This is just nitpicky, but the final boss in Find Mii is called the Dark Emperor, not the Dark King
Also nitpicky, Little Mac's up-b is called Rising Uppercut, side-b is Jolt Haymaker

“The transitions weren't as smooth-“ I actually thought they were better in this vid. You don’t always need a smooth segue (“speaking of x”), sometimes it’s better to make it clear that it’s a transition. Just reading the next fact (or crediting whoever wrote it) after a slight pause did the job just fine.
I maybe wouldn’t scrap the whole “speaking of x” transition bit entirely, because it’s kinda part of your branding now, but it wouldn’t hurt to lay off of it for a few transitions

I think I know what’s happening with Pac Man’s victory screen. The model for his final smash is just a separate 2d entity that’s called for when his final smash begins, and when it’s over, it’s opacity is simply set to 0. In the victory animation, Nintendo most likely coded it to where it’s simply off-screen, and comes back on for the animation, without setting the opacity to 100 beforehand.

Dunno if anyone mentioned it yet, but the stock icon over Nintendog at 9:15 is because the game doesn’t use a new resource for G&W’s throw animations, it just pulls the stock icon from its normal usage, and as the percentage and icons at the bottom have to be the very front layer, it would go over anything else on the screen.

Awesome! Yeah I’ve been reading some comments and I also think Pac-Man’s 2D sprite unloads if you use his Final Smash during a match. Those two must be the same thing.
Hot tip from a plant main here:
During the final smash, plant can control how far left and right Petey moves by moving around himself. A trick I like attempting is trapping foes in a cage, then having Petey rush off the edge. Petey goes down first, so a good enough recovery can save you.

-by using buster wolf to hit an opponent who missed a ground tech, whether the opponent is facing up or down, the attack will hit and deal 6%. Same goes for buried opponents. If the opponent is tripped by a banana, buster wolf plays out normally and does 30%.
-buster wolf can grab opponents who are right above the ledge, in the air.
-buster wolf’s command input can be started in the air, and the move will play out if Terry touches the ground at the end of the input.
-buster wolf can grab a crouching Kirby

The reason Bounce works on Flare Blitz is that the first hit is a hitbox and the second one is an explosion. Explosions get reflected by Bounce, but when Charizard is getting self-damage, he has i-frames, so he doesn't take extra damage from the reflected explosion.

Hero’s magic burst falling glitch also works with Shulk. If you use vision (his counter) while the Monado art runs out, the same effect happens where he falls down instead of staying in the air.
That Pac-Man victory screen thing is super interesting. It means the battling Pac-Man is related to the victory screen one. Not just a video played after the match is over, which I imagined was the case before..... HM...

Visual Glitch: If Zelda performs her Final Smash right next to Mr. Game and Watch, and G&W is performing a move that changes his appearance, right before G&W is sucked in he could be seen in the same pose as the move, but in his “Eyeless” default appearance, sometimes with detached limbs and even a neck.
I’ve gotten this to work with Jab and Side Smash, but I haven’t tested any other moves.
Fun Fact: On stages with a very low water level, some characters can stand, but not others. For example, in certain water areas of Delfino Plaza, Joker can stand, but Kirby will swim. (Also, hydrophobic fighters do not take damage in water that is too low to swim in.)
7:10 I think it might have something to do with the model being used for his final smash, since that and the victory screen are the only 2 things that use the flat Pac-Man model. Maybe since the model is loaded into the game for his final smash, it isn't loaded again properly for his victory screen.
Stock icon goes over Nintendog because that's where stock icons rest in the layers of the game. When you summon nintendog, you can still see basic information like % and stock. When G+W does his throw, they convert the character into the stock image, but stock images are always on that layer, even if it's temporary.
Speaking as a programmer (and theorizing), the Pac-Man glitch most likely happens because Pac-Man has the 8-bit image loaded into memory at the start of a match at all times for the victory screen, and the Final Smash shares the graphical asset in memory. If they were good programmers (which they are) they probably by default unload memory for final smash graphics at the end of a final smash and don't load it back in unless the final smash is used again, but since the victory screen shares the asset, it isn't in memory to be displayed on screen.
Just realized that "Can't Tec this" sounds like "can't touch this." Hammer time!

A few side notes; Sonic's tanooki tail gets put on the end of his hedgehog tail, Banjo's tanooki ears cover his bear ears and Bowser Jr. doesn't get a tail, just the clown cart, even though he can float after using Abandon Ship.

Alright, here's a fact for 2020:
In Port Town Aero Dive, If you jump off of the track while it isn't moving, then go under it, try to recover, you can go up through it. (But you can't go down through it, making it have properties like The Great Cave Offensive's Starting Platform) Plus, if you do this at the finish line (And maybe other places too) you can make the camera clip down through the road. (You can do this with the Pause Camera Too)
I have a fact.
Wii Fit Trainers up smash has invincibility right whe you first do it. Which is also the reason she does it in the world of light opening cinematic when the characters get consumed by the light beams, guess she timed it wrong

9:27 - That happens because normally the stock icon needs to have higher priority than everything else, to remain in the interface.
However, during G&W's grab, the icon retains that priority and thus it overlaps the Nintendog.
In html you'd do this by using the Z-index variable.
I know the video isn’t about Kirby but I have a redesign for Kirby that could make the character more viable and fun.
All you have to change is the mechanics of Kirbys neutral special. Instead of only being able to copy the character that you have inhaled neutral special, you would be able to copy ANY ABILITY. When you have your opponent inside of you ( I know, I know) input any move that you wish to change. For example, it Kirby inhales Zero Suit Samus and inputs Down Special, then I could use Flip Jump. If Kirby inhales Captain Falcon and performs Falcon’s iconic knee. You could cap the amount of copy’s at a time at one, or you could even let Kirby use 2-5 of their opponent’s moves at a time. Considering all of Kirby’s double-jumps, the combo potential could be unreal.

On the topic of the pac man glitch:
Probably the model of the sprite resides in the victory screen stage, and the fs, out of programmer laziness, uses the same model. The reason the sprite doesn’t show up is probably due to an oversight that runs the animation without setting the sprite’s location to the victory screen.
