That when you find yourself a genuine teacher is when all your problems actually start….. So we must be brave. She gives such wonderful words. And it’s true, what is successful practice? What are the qualities? Looking within have we become more kind? Did we learn to be less harsh, more gentle? Hardships and suffering can be so deceptive. Of course we don’t want these things but the gentle quality doesn’t come from nowhere. Sometimes our harshness is beaten out of us, naturally. We carry lifetimes of ego clinging and bad behavior. The seeds can be purified but the residue stinks to the high heavens.
and then... there are these persons: you see their face on a youtoube-video-preview and watch the video for the one reason that there is a trustworthy expression in their eyes... thank you for clearing up my mind
@@DharmaTime-is-now Thank you for clarifying! Kambo points are made with incense burns so no wonder they look similar! Thank you for posting, I love to hear her speak the dharma.
Tenzin Palmo would go on to actually confront the Dalai Lama in a public forum and asked why women couldn't become buddhas or, more importantly, only had access to very limited teachings. He basically agreed it was unjust and needed to change. There's all kinds of sexism in the medieval theocratic cultural elements. Many liturgies contain some real head shaker lines. None of this is news. She's a brilliant lady who has practiced for decades with focus, dedication and most importantly, humility so she's one of the best resources on these subjects.

Does she have Kambo points on her head?
No, those were incense burns that were part of one of her ordination ceremonies

she was told 'women cant get enlightened' by Tibetan 'lords' and stayed loyal to a dying system.
