I have hesitated to comment...I was just lucky to find a great teacher right when I became involved...I also have innate respect for the Dalai Lama...

Buddhist tantra is present 50 years in West . Reality check shows that West people are not becoming liberated and enlightened by means of buddhist tantra. Shamar Rinpoche concluded that Mahayana ( not Vajrayana ) is most productive path for mayority of Western practictioners of Dharma. And on Mahayana path guru is not so much important.
50-40 years ago when buddhist tantra came to West , everybody was thinking that enlightenment is just around the corner.
Few decades later it appeared that it is not such easy. All best .

Vajrayana is swift but needs renunciation and bodhichitta to work ❤

Tantra can lead to liberation in one lifetime, but it does not have to result in liberation in one life. As long as there is meaningful progress on the path, that should be enough. Vajrayana is a type of mahayana.

In all these videos she's so uncertain about her answers and keeps looking for validation. Even though her answers are ok, it's the awkward way she gives them.

Different people will read responses in different ways. For unambiguous and fully certain delivery, check out some of our videos with Tenzin Palmo or Khandro Rinpoche
