I love the sound of Kevin's cello as well. The cello just has a deep rich tone that a violin or viola cannot match.
I love them too. I could listen to them all day. One that I just recently discovered is "Come Along". It is such a fun song and of course they look great in the video like always.

They just released a new album, Holidays around the world. Prayers for this world is the only song on the album so far that has a video, which is a song I love, BUT my favorite is Invincible. They also start their tour a week from tomorrow in Oakland, I’ll be there. I am over the moon excited.

I know others have corrected you on the cello vs. violin, but yeah, it is a wonderful instrument. The cello is only second to the electric guitar in my opinion as the greatest instrument ever created!

I watched the entire video with you. This group is very talented. The arrangement was nice, especially the cello. The lead male vocalist is right there, but the woman can’t quite get where Stephanie/Lady Gaga went with this song.

Pentatonix is a group/band of highly talented musicians who made their early fame on an acapella show. There's no law that says they "are supposed to be" acapella. They don't claim to be - don't confuse fan expectations with actual statements by the band and its management - and their marketing is not based on it. It doesn't need to be. After 11 solid years in the biz, they are expanding their range and making full use of their capabilities, which includes instruments for several members, and also includes their tremendous capacity for collaboration with other great musicians, including instrumentalists. I can say honestly I don't miss Avi. His terrific contributions to the band during the first half of their existence are still out there for everyone to enjoy. Too bad he couldn't come along for the rest of the ride, because he's a very talented guy, but that was entirely his choice, and I'm pretty sure he's happy with it. I'm also very happy that PTX continued to grow with the addition of an exuberant, wonderful performer named Matt. And if you hear screaming here... well, yeah, maybe stick with Home Free.
Oh oh I'm not that impressed. The man sounds good but the woman is yelling not singing. I guess I'm spoiled hearing Adele. Nothing compares. I think this woman artist tried reaching the clear high notes like Adele and she didn't achieve it just screeching. Just being honest. But the man arist did good. Girl has to practice more.

"The woman" has been singing and training since she was 10. And singing professionally for the last 11 years. She's done Broadway. She's a part of a 3 time Grammy winning group who are renowned worldwide.
And her NAME is Kirstie Maldonado.
Oh...and if you want to hear one of the group reaching clear high notes like Adele...his name is Mitch Grassi.

@@heidi_d, it was Lady Gaga who sang the song for the movie re-make ( there were two other movies made of A Star Is Born...Judy Garland did the original I think, and Barbara Streisand did the second.)
But Ruth Slater is complaining ...for some reason...that Kirstie Maldonado in this video does not sound enough like Adele to please her and she's not up to her standards.
