Your face was priceless. Kirstie is often overlooked by focus on Scott or Mitch. But hooboy when she takes the lead,she knocks it out of the park everytime. This one and Say Something are my favorites.

I think this was traditionally the case but I have noticed that more and more reactors are blown away by her, primarily because she's stepped out from the background and just dominated the solos she has these days. The bigger frustration comes from people not understanding how much work she was doing in those earlier arrangements. Talk about glue.
She was always good, but her voice is more mature and she has more self confidence. It shows.
Both are my favorite of hers! I love my favorite things too! But this a my favorites! She is so good!

Their version of this song is so severely underrated in their catalogue. The Trio shines in this one so effortlessly, and I think it's a great showcase of Kirstie's vocal maturation. Great reaction!

To me, this is the most rapturously beautiful sound they have ever produced. I never get tired of it. When the tempo and intensity pick up for Mitch's solo on the bridge, I get literal chills.

Bradley Cooper actually sang this song with Lady gaga and I was impressed at least what I heard. I knew that Bradley was solid 10/10 male actor with his perfomance in 'American Sniper and in this movie', but I never would expect him to sing as well... And this video was a huge compliment for the original song.

Kevin on the cello is from my hometown. Before he became famous I spoke to him about his music. I knew he was a cello player and he also said he was a beat boxer. I said I'd like to hear that combo someday. LOL😅

From the latest remake of movie “ A Star is Born”. First one remember starred Judy Garland & I know there was one before that- probably 1930’s. This song was not in those. Bradley Cooper & Gaga recorded this. It may have won a Grammy.

I honestly believe that Kirstie deserves far more recognition than she gets. People talk about the range that Scott has, or being 'Mitch slapped' etc, but people seldom pick Kirstie out for special praise. She has an amazing voice and, to be honest, I would much rather be 'slapped' by Kirstie than by Mitch.
I routinely am these days. The power in her voice is soul piercing.

The song is from the movie A Star Is Born with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, who sang it as a duet. Scott sounds a bit like Cooper, but Kirstie is all on her own. A couple great Scott videos are Lost on You, a duet with Mario Jose and a video he did quite a while back, but it's still amazing - I Should Tell Ya Momma on You.

So you want more mind blowing Scott Hoying? Then the "Shoshanna Bean and Scott Hoying - All To Me" duet will scratch that itch. I PROMISE. Shoshanna is a Broadway actress, singer & song writer & she wrote this very soulful song. Goose bumps galore. You'll hear Scott like you probably have never quite heard him before. And PLEASE watch all the way to the VERY END. I go back & watch this one once or twice (or more) a week ever since I first saw it 3 months ago. So SO YUMMY!
This was released as a single, but the Japan 5th Anniversary album has songs from their entire career, including some that aren't on any of their other albums. And it's the only Pentatonix CD I've seen that has a lyric booklet -- the English lyrics and Japanese translations. Except for the two Japanese songs -- Pretender and the Perfume medley, which only has the Japanese.
Shallow is one of the big songs from the remake of "A Star Is Born", with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. Scott sang Bradley's part (Bradley didn't do badly, considering he's not a singer), and Kirstie took Lady Gaga's part (Kevin's cello work replicated a guitar line). IMO, all of them blew the originals out of the water. This is a showcase for Kirstie, showing the power and passion she can include in her singing. The only song that comes close (and in my opinion, squeaks by this one) is Say Something - partially because it's somewhat longer, so we get to enjoy Kirstie even more, but also because of the harmonies included in that one.
To show you the attention to detail that PTX includes in their videos: you may have noticed that this video was shot entirely in black-and-white, except for occasional splashes of gold (jewelry, room fixtures). This replicates the movie posters for A Star Is Born, which were all black-and-white except for the lettering in the title, which was gold.
Loved your, ‘damnit I’m super irritated right now but I guess I’ll listen to PTX and holy sh!t I was not expecting THAT!’ reaction. 😂 No offense to Bradley Cooper but Kirstie clearly had the harder job here taking on Lady Gaga and she nailed it. This classic Lady Gaga performance is, without the slightest doubt, surpassed by PTX in yet another upgrade to an original. The subtle cinematography adds so much while doing is so subtly. Then having Scott and Kirstie just perform so perfectly makes the entire performance just at the very tip top of any expectations we might have had.
