Had to come back and subscribe I completely forgot to 6 months ago when you taught me this. Thanks man, there are only 3 videotape okay this song and you taught it the best, I’ve been playing it ever since!🤘🏽
Dude, much respect for the humility you showed. To do a video with all the mistakes. Great respect to you. Thanks for the lesson, this is an awesome song. Can't wait to play it myself!
Hey Rusty ur kind words are very touching and I appreciate you very much! Thank you for watching and supporting my page, and always feel free to request one! It's ppl like you, I do this for!
I have a head injury from a car accident and nerve damage in my arms from damage to my neck which seriously worsened in 2016. Couldn`t play due to pain for several years and have to see doctors each month. I`m on the spectrum like Travis and relate to the feel of this song. The latest two I`ve learned were Nutshell by Alice in Chains and Lonesome On`ry And Mean by Waylon and I need to add more cool Rock tunes to my list to do live shows again. It hasn`t been good for me to sit alone through my medical problems and then covid. Found your channel when I looked for this. Thank you.
Wow bro, we have a lot in common, i too suffered a bad head injury in 2007, i was on life support in coma for a month, then haf seizures for 4 years after
Hey Mister 90s, I do think you’re hitting the open D on the second note, not the open A. I was watching carefully and I’m sure it’s the D string (4th) not the A ( 5th ). Tried it out and sounded horrible with the A. But thanks, I got the rest figured out. Still a nice lesson!
I can't make any promises cuz days of the new are hard to cover lol but I promise you I'll check it out and try my best I'll put the song on now. And thank you watching and supporting my channel
Just found you by searching this song. Thanks. I’m a old newbie! Lol 53 and started playing a year ago. I’m a lefty and play left handed acoustic. Struggling but enjoying it. Are you left handed? I noticed you’re playing left-handed in this video but all the other videos it seems you’re playing right handed. Just curious which way do you prefer? Thanks!
Hey bud, I am a natural lefty, but I play both ways, when I was learning we couldn't find a left handed guitar, and I wanted to play so bad, I started teaching myself on a right handed guitar, not knowing at the time what a tremendous skill I was learning to take with me everywhere I go in life!!. I'm truly happy you learned off my video! Thank you so much for watching and your support. Happy new years
And thank you, plz feel free to always leave a request, and use my page to advertise your vids should you ever have ur own channel. I'm putting up, if I had a million. Dollars tomorrow

@@Toothlessfatguyplaysguitar it's a nice song! Yeah I guess you got a bunch of requests 😵 you're very welcome, thanks for the latest uploads, a lot of good material 👍 Really? Yes!! I'm sure you're gonna like that tune and that specific video it's gonna help a lot, because it shows the chords (which I don't know) thanks in advance!
It's kinda tricky, not easy imo but it's a good exercise. It's cool that you stay at home. This is the first time in human history we can actually safe humanity just by staying at home laying on the couch or in our case playing guitar :D
When I have to learn a song that has picking I pick the same cords over and over and over again until I can do it in my sleep, I couldn't play the song through but I also knew I knew the right cords to show you, keep practising the picking and I promise you, you will get it
I saw them playing acoustic at a radio station in Detroit, but he looks terrible, the drugs have truly taken over, and its only a matter of time before he joins, Hendrix, Morrison, Cobain, Stayley, hust to name a few, which is too bad, they are amazing musicians!
I agree. lyrically he is one of the best in my opinion. I watched a documentary in it he was talking about how he loved and still loves every drug he has ever done. Just ashame to waste pure talent I hope he gets it together for his fans
I did many a drug, too, in fact for some reason most musicians due especially those that go on the road, I was on the road for 7 years, and some us were drunks, some were junkies, some were both, but every one of us needed help afterwards, the drugs and booze is what ultimately ended us and our careers, so ppl may think that kind of Rock & Roll lifestyle is what they want, but I guarantee you, if they ever get there, they would trade it all back for a dime! I been clean just over 5 years now, but can never join a band again!!
Actually I play both ways, if you check out other videos there are some where I'm playing right handed, next time I string my guitar I will switch to right handed, every time I string it, I switch back and forth, and thank-you for your support and kind words
@@Toothlessfatguyplaysguitar That's truly amazing! Some definite talent right there! I've been considering trying to re-learn to play right handed. It's tough. That's really cool though!
I wore out my old Samick guitar and just replaced the poor girl with a Dean Koa acoustic electric and an amazing 80 dollar Ashthorpe acoustic electric. I feel guilty! I absolutely HATE breaking a string with a belly full of whiskey in the middle of a show on Saturday night and having no backup. The Dean sounds dark and bassy (see the vid I made when I got it) with killer dynamics using a pick and the Ashthorpe has a wider neck with a crisp more static range. If I play it easy just finger strumming it sounds great but distorts with too much force. But damn for a cheap guitar the tuning and intonation and color is beautiful. I probably got lucky and got a good one. The Dean is more unforgiving with the bassy tones and needs to be tuned by chords to match them up properly but it`s awesome and sounds crazy good plugged in with a subwoofer.
Honestly I didn’t know that. This is why I encourage everyone to comment if I miss something or do it wrong. For as long as I played this song I always just tried to avoid the HI E string. Cuz something never sounded right now I’m gonna go change it lol.....but thank you so much for pointing that out. I’m not perfect either hehe
Bro, I followed your advice, and seriously finally got the goosebumps when I played it. Thank you so much for sharing that! I think I’m gonna re do the video so I can show everyone else the right way! Again thanks a lot!!! I’m not perfect, and I need peeps like you to keep this page going!
