Written pattern. I think the last one got unpinned somehow. Sorry about that lol www.thissoutherngirlcan.com/crochet/free-granny-square-bag-crochet-pattern
What is the thing that you used to thread your beads on with? Is that a needle threader? I am having a hard time finding this on Amazon. Do you have a link to that by any chance?
@@crochetlaboratorycrochet3858 I used a regular sewing needle to add mine... tie your thread like you were going to sew, put your yarn through the loop, then put the needle through your bead, pulling the yarn with the thread pull it right through the hole in the bead. there is a couple of video tutorials on here... that is how i learned to do it..
This is my very first project and I think my yarn might be too thin? I've done the magic circle twice on this and it's keeps turning out like a flower instead of a square lol
Never Have I Ever…. heard anyone explain the magic circle like you just did… an Amazing simple detailed explanation in just a few words. I know it’s a little tricky BUT YOU just made it clear as a clean window. YOU ARE AN AMAZING TUTORIALIST (is that a word? it should be!😆)❣️ Your explanation of everything…. Superb❣️ And very talented with those beautiful nails. 🤩 Thank you for this wonderful video of that beautiful granny square bag❣️🥰❣️ I’m gonna make my bags like this from now on❣️
Just found you and am so happy I did. I made my first bag and I love it. Starting on my 2nd one with different colors. Thank you so much for making the magic circle so simple, can't believe I spent so much time trying to follow other tutorials. Thank you again.
Randomly scrolled by your video and decided to give it a try. Omg I love it 🥹 I already made two mini versions of it in a row! I stopped at 5 instead of 6 for the base. I also use a yarn that mix and switch colours. I just love them so much. For sure that’s gonna be the go to project anytime I’ll want to offer someone a little something. So quick, so easy, so cute, so convenient. Thank you so much!!! Big love from France
I cannot thank you ENOUGH for this tutorial, I've seen so many crochet bag tutorials but none of them turned out as cute as yours, nor were they as helpful or easy to understand as yours. Wishing you the absolute best, this video's invaluable to a lot of us newbies at crochet
I’ve always been put of making bags due to have mental health issues but tried yours and I finished mine today. So thank you for such a awesome video x
I will show 7 little girls I am teaching to crochet how to make this bag as their summer project! They love to make gifts for family and friends. Their teacher will take a break from lessons knowing they have a super craft for the lazy summer days! Thank you for this tutorial!
I am a seasoned crocheter and I have to say I absolutely love your presentation, your personality and the magic circle explanation was brilliant!! Also love how your pattern really limits the amount of open space in the stitches. That's usually a problem that makes you have to line the bag. Definitely going to be whipping up some of these! 💕 Many thanks! 👍
i made mine a little bigger and now I have another WIP Bag LOL love this... will be making more , i think they would be great to carry to the beach !!! cute for little girls too.. thanks for this....
Just finished my 2nd bag. Ok you are the one responsible for this new addiction I have LOL TY for a great Tutorial. Today I am getting out pen and paper and writing up my own pattern for this so I never forget. It was great fun to make this ... Made one for my friend that crochet's better than I do LOL
Thank you Amber this is going to be a perfect bag that I can use for my toiletries when we are camping. When I started to learn to crochet I didnt like doing the magic circle. But as I got more comfortable with doing the magic circle I enjoy using it all the time now with my crochet patterns. Happy crafting ❤ From Canada Ontario🇨🇦 (FYI I have been trying to watch more of your videos to help out you and your children). Looking forward to hearing your laughter and videos when you are able to come back to U Tube😍
Ok, I’ve made hundreds of magic circles but suck at describing how to make them to beginners. This will be my go to video for those who need it simplified. This is absolutely brilliant. Can’t wait to watch more of your videos. Love the bag too! I’m going to make a mini one for my dice 😄
I’m like… advanced beginner? Anyway I’ve never done a granny square with slip stitches before starting the cluster. It looks so much better, thank you. You’re a natural tutor.
I made this soo easily and perfectly! All thanks to you! I attached the strings below, and now its a backpack i can hang! I wish i could send pics! Thankyou soo much
I don't usually comment on video tutorials but I gotta say that not only did I learn how to make a cute bag, I learned how to make a better granny square. Also, I love the positivity you portray immediately and throughout this video amd the directions were really simple. Thank you for sharing! P.S I realized as soon as I started typing this post that my daughter took over my RUclips so excuse her cute face in the photo, lol.
Hi, just wanted to say i started this pattern four days ago (i’ve only been crocheting for a few months) and i just finished today. I did do some modifications to mine. Instead of chaining one i just continued with the three double crochets across without the chaining one. Then at the end instead of half double crocheting at the top i did single crocheting. It looks amazing and i will be making more. Thank you!
So cute, I definitely want to make some of these bags. You can use these bags for so many things. Thank you . I was taught to chain two in the corners, I like it better with just the one chain
Oh Amber, why did you?!! I'm going to have to stop making my rectangles for Warm Up America to make a bag. Yes, it's a must! Thank you so much for such an amazing tutorial, Amber.
I made this bag for my Daughter in Law and her Mother, and they both love it. I made one for me in which I put a glass bonbon Jar in which I hold my sewing scissors. SO CUTE. Thank you so much for this tutorial. Oh, I also lined them with lovely fabric.
omg this is one of the easiest items I've ever made!! did up a 3 round bag & a tiny 2 round one lol. For my mom's birthday ^_^ thank you so much!! gonna add this to my inventory too!
I have made several of your bags from your tutorial. It is excellent & so useful for storing my diabetic supplies that I use daily. ❤ your simple to make bag. 👍👍👍
Love this pattern so much!! Thank-you for making it clear, easy to follow, and fun to make. I've made a couple of smaller ones to take to a wedding and I'm just finishing up my 6th larger one for our up coming camping trip. These are going to make awesome beach and laundry bags.
Finally a tutorial where you hold the crochet needle just like me. I've only made runners and doilies. Your tutorial is inspiring. I'll try a bag. Already have thread and beads. Thanks for an inspiring video. 💕 😍
I just made this bag for my mother using a larger hook and I did line the bag for her use. Thank you, for the detailed explanation of how to crochet this awesome bag.🌺
Thank you so much for the awesome tutorial! I just finished mine, I used leather straps instead of chaining them, it looks so cute! I love, love, LOVE this pattern!!!!!
Ok, this has me rethinking a bag I'm making cuz this looks cute. And might have to make two because it looks better than the granny square bag I attempted to make last year.
I am 72 and started two years ago! Sooooo much fun! There are so many wonderful you tube teachers. Crochet saved my in life these past two of crazy years. I have 25 grandchildren and have made them all lap blankets in blanket yarn, and am now working on stuffed animals ...three done for the younger ones! Have a great time with the incredible world of crochet!
I AM IN FUCKING LOVE WITH THIS!!! I got it on the first try with a 3.75 mm hook and 4 ply cotton yarn. I got a perfect size (smaller than the video) and I love it. tysm
Well, thank you very much for this tutorial! It was clear and easy to follow, and the two times I was thinking to ask something, you gave the answer I needed! That's what I call being considerate of your viewers. Much appreciated. Moreover, I liked your sense of humor while making the sample in your video. Refreshing.
A gallon Crown Royal bag would make a great liner if you were doing a dark color. I use pillow cases for liners. If you start with a corner it's less sewing 🪡😅

Oh my goodness girl you are the first one to be able to teach me the magic circle... I started crocheting this past winter and I love your videos... Thank you for them they are great 😃👍
At the end of the round where youre not doing 6 dc in a corner and only 3 where do you slip stitch into? Do you slip stitch and close it and just start at the next open space like you would at the corner in the previous rounds?
How sturdy is it? I know a lot of crochet works typically stretch a lot so that’s expected but how much were you able to put in it without it stretching too much.

I absolutely love this & you make the magic circle so much easier than everyone else show.
Thanks for the pattern. Especially for a way to do the magic circle. Have seen many that have made it so complicated and a headache
I just finished it and it was so fun! This is the first project i have actually finished and not abandoned! Super beginner friendly!
this is the cutest most motivating crotchet video i have found yet.

What's warm up America? Sound like blankets for someone but love the name. I'm in the UK..
How did you work the 1 cluster 4 rolls , you didn't show the corner to continue a row and start new.
