The tension wasn’t an issue for me but the start took me a ridiculous amount of time to understand how to do. Once done I was fine.
I did this in a watermelon color theme and it’s so cute. I’m giving this as a gift. My hands hurt from continuously crocheting for a whole day but it’s worth it. ❤ thank you for this!

If you're following this and your circle is turning into ruffles, it is most likely because the written directions are not stated in the common way that most of us understand. For example, for row 3, "2ch, (1dc, 2dc into each stitch)" does NOT mean chain 2, (2 double crochets into each stitch). It means chain 2, (1 double crochet in the same stitch with the chain, double crochet into each stitch/one-double crochet into each stitch). I hope no one has to unravel 11 rows like I did before realizing this 😫
I may not explain the method clearly or may not make it easy for you to understand. But of course I want to share. Making this bag. Because I don't speak English as my first language. I am aboutbhalf done with the bag and it is sooo simple.I just started crocheting at the end of last year and making this bag had been the most fun so far. I love this pattern! I am trying to follow along and am trying to keep track of the stitches; any clue how many stitches would be at the end of each round? Specifically RNDs 13 - 24? Or does that not matter after the circle is complete due to the shell pattern?
Not sure if you still want this answer but it doesn’t matter as long as you have the circular part done right.
I love the pattern, but honestly I'm really struggling with the handle part. I've never done that stitch before abs im having a hard time seeing where I'm supposed to be going in to
Heya! Fellow beginner crocheter here. I believe she crocheted a Romanian cord for the handle part (my previous bag used the same type of handle and I got so confused at first too). You can RUclips videos on how to crochet a Romanian cord! :) Hope that helps!

I use natural silk. It looks a bit stiff. Size 2.00 mm. You can use any yarn you have instead.

By row 6 mine is ruffling.. do you do the 2 DC in one stitch 12 times the do 4 DC then repeat? Is that what the instructions mean?
Just curious if you’re using cotton yarn or cotton macramé cord? Some patterns interchange the terms so I just wanted to double check.

Hello, i wanted to ask if i skip one round (i.e the last increase round of the green yarn , the 8th round) and start the four rounds of the normal double crochet ?? My concern is if doing so would affect the patterns of the white yarn. Im still a beginner so im really scared to do anything on my own and do something which is not shown in the tutorial 😅😅
If i want to make a bag that has a height of greater than 21cm, do i just do more rows of the same pattern as row 13 before proceeding to the same pattern as row 25? Thanks.
