@@keithmcgrath-ns2gz Freeland is intelligent, educated and accomplished. Carney is unlikely to replace her as finance minister anyway. The Liberals probably won't form the next government. Carney doesn't have a seat in the house of commons or the senate and wouldn't likely be given a cabinet position until after winning a seat.

The current state of our military is embarrassing and disgraceful. And this is the fault of the Canadian public. For decades and decades Canadians have demanded government reduce military spending which is naive and shortsighted. The fact that the government refuses to meet NATA spending targets is absurd. And those who standup and honour our military servicemen while at the same time refusing to give them a nickel for equipment is hypocritical.
I wonder which party was behind the demand to reduce military spending?
