- Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland spoke out in support of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Thursday, saying he has her “full support” despite the Liberal Party’s poor performance in the recent Toronto-St. Paul’s byelection.
“I know he has the full support of cabinet,” Freeland added, though she conceded that Canadians in the former Liberal stronghold had sent a message to the governing party by electing the Conservatives.
Asked whether she should keep her job as deputy prime minister and finance minister amid increasing concerns about cost of living in Canada, Freeland said that is a decision for the prime minister.
“There was definitely a clear message from the voters of Toronto-St. Paul’s and I think it’s really important to act on that message,” she added. Freeland said they have heard the concerns of Canadians.

Freeland thinks the the message is "Things are hard"? Wrong. As a voter in Toronto-St. Paul's, my message is that "we are sick and tired of your virtue signaling, do-nothing, tax-and-spend incompetent government". Time for Freeland and company to shove off. Meanwhile, Trudeau ignored our military (which has become a weak joke), productivity, economic growth, housing, and cost of living. Canadians do have a dramatically bigger and more expensive government and far more bureaucrats, but most Canadians are struggling under massive debt due to no wage growth to pay the high taxes to fund Trudeau’s freebies. All wrong and bad.

We are advanced enough now where every single citizen can easily have a say in every law , every plan, rather than having representatives that cater to the loudest groups or the areas that matter more when votes are cast. Government simply cannot deliver projects and many services as efficiently as the private sector can. Government needs to have policy that makes the private sector more productive, and that in turn generates wealth, which generates taxes which generate the funding for key social programs.
