AFN needs more financial accountability not less
Absolutely! I do believe that Canadian taxpayers have the right to know where their money was spent.
Yes, but also having less federal government in their lives and everyone else's for that matter would be nice, smaller government, which is what Poilievre has said, also you have to realize that the federal government gives AFN support via our tax dollars, what happens once it's in the hands of AFN leaders is not the feds fault, there's a lot of corruption in the AFN, either way we have to get Poilievre elected before anything can really be done, he's got a huge task ahead of him and a huge mess to clean up because of the Liber/NDP crooks!

@@dangal9366 in many cases, it's because the provincial and or federal government industrial plants and waste disposal sites in areas deliberately or negligently destroyed the viable water supplies to these communities. Most reserves don't receive enough funding to build wells for each dwelling, and under federal law, individual ownership of homes on the rez isn't always permitted.

A very humble and sincere speech from Pierre. What I found to be so disgusting however is the rude and condescending response by Judy Wilson and that other woman chief. There is just no pleasing those professional complainers, and high priestess' of victimhood. Pierre did a great job of keeping his cool after that.

Not intending disrespect here but serious question --- have the Residential school victims bodies been recovered ? There is a official memorial registrar listing many many names of Indigenous victims but have authorities recovered bodies ? I'm not doubting the tragedy but I keep hearing about graves without bodies.
The Vatican has all known records of all Residential Schools throughout Canada including former student names and photos, but they refuse to release it to the Truth and Reconcillation Commission or anyone else. Teck pulled out of the Frontier OIl sands project because of the environmental requirements for the area. The same area that has the Athabasca River that has polyphenols that are in the waters that are in the rivers that come from the existing OIl sands. What is more inportant the environment that is there for canadians to enjoy or to have an oil mine.
By the way a lot of youth in the north do not have the education basis for many echnical jobs. It is a shame for certain but Poliviere is not going to make it chnge

I am a CPC member, but Pierre did not perform well here. He appeared unprepared and seeing him read from a prepared speech was clumsy. This was a great opportunity lost for Pierre.
