- Oh boooy, I'm back with another bad video. I based this video off of 12 mario kart 8 deluxe players that I've run across. Have YOU seen any of these players? Are YOU one of these players perhaps? Let me know down in the comments! Also to my subscribers for Fire Emblem, I know it's been a minute but don't worry, an "I tried playing FE4" video is in the works. It's just gonna take a little bit, issa long game, but I finished it though and I genuinely had a great time! I know once again I've been super inactive so a big thank you to everyone for being so patient with me. It really means a lot to me.

The first one physically hurts. I remember thinking double items would guarantee or at least decrease the odds of being left with only coins in first. And then I started repeatedly getting double coins as herds of red shells came for blood.
Edit: Yes, I know double coins are only possible in an online match where there is a lot of lag. Shouldn't be possible offline.

You expect somebody who complains about coin items to know how the game works? :U getting single coins in mk8u was arguably more powerful than getting a banana. Coins matter so much.
@@Marshall.R Yeah, I heard about that at some point. Some rooms I didn't have the problem. Other rooms were just really bad.
@@EingefrorenesEisen You can know how the game works and still complain. Coins are great, but when I'm already maxed out on coins and in first, I'd rather have one thing to protect myself than double coins. I did save them for a minor boost after getting hit at least like in the og game.

I’m always the unlucky player especially with the cpu I’ll get hit with a blue shell then 2 red shells then a banana then a squid then electricity then get a coin on top of that

I love getting chain item'd from 1st to ninth!
There has never been a sound that has instilled more fear into me than the blue shell sound effect. That alarm is the true nightmare fuel.
The only other sound that hits me that hard is the guardians from breath of the wild

Tbh I enjoyed lightweight character more since it gives you more mini-turbos, which is nice for 200cc.

The worst thing is you have to admit they have some skill to make it to 1st place without using items

@@cheryl9809 that's the advantage of the Mario Kart DD system, but also its ranger: to lure you into trying to hold until you get First, when you might actually not even get first If you don't use this. A hard lesson DD taught: knowing when to hold and when to use is Key. But nothing is more painful than not getting First even with a good item because you kept trying to smuggle

This is me! I could NOT drift right on MK8, I thought I was crazy. Then I picked up MK7 on sale ($3) and it played much more like I remembered. Still thinking about owning 8 with all the new DLC tracks but the 3DS version suits me for now
I can't understand what all of this refers to. Is it about that you can drift in off-road with a high off-road stat?
@@riccardomorgagni5181 No It's that the traction in mk8 is notably less, So the game feels like a slip and slide, but with 7 there is much more traction, so any kart feels normal.
Oh, yeah, I understand, now. Well, I recently reopened my 3DS, and I found out I lost all my ability to drive with first person driving, lol. When I was younger, I could driv I mastered that way of control and I could make also with 3D view set to the max.
As someone who’s played 8 since it released on Wii U, I super related to most of these positions at one point or another. Great video BisMix! Good to see ya back.

Tbh when I play MK8 I always play in 200cc and barely played with 150cc or below. 150cc and below is just boring imo. 200cc can take a really cool shortcut in MK8 (for example the Big Blue ultra shortcut).
While for Mario Kart Wii, I still can enjoy it even in 150cc. Clawing makes you feel like a pro lmao. Although I don't like playing with 50cc in MKWii tho (I guess bike and the ability to wheelie is one of the factors why this game is so good. I barely use kart).
P.s. I also play 200cc through MKWii ctgp revolution and It's also fun. There is a braking feature as well added by Mr Bean the GOAT.
As for MKDD, I don't play it that much, but imho it's more fun to play it with friends who are amateurs in Mario Kart than MKWii (the same level as MK8 I guess).
I've found that you actually need to brake-drift on some 150cc tracks. Specifically, Neo Bowser City.
i only learnt that you could brake during drifts so you wouldnt yeet of into space on every corner a week or 2 ago... i have been playing mk8 dx for over 3 years now
There was one time I golden mushroomed my way out of a blue shell on Mario Kart Wii, that was so awesome! Also, love ya Bismix!
I remember one race where I got completely screwed-over by a blue shell on Mushroom Gorge on the last lap, only to get a Bullet Bill and blast my way from 11th back to 1st after a lightning bolt hit everyone else (and even stealing 1st from Baby Daisy).
In 25 years of playing the whole Mario Kart series (20 when this happened), I never saw something so random.
"The mario kart 8 fans are clamoring for more content! What do we give them? New Characters? New Carts? Mario kart 9 isn't ready yet!!"

What does a golden wheel mean? Like a normal wheel for using motion control, when/why does it become golden?
@@dirkvisser9777 The golden wheel shows that the person uses tilt controls the majority of the time that they play. Not sure the exact requirements for it to show up but in my case I’m always using tilt controls, so I have it all the time

Using tilt controls in 8 Deluxe sucks the joycons are too small now mk8 on wii u that's fine because I can use the good ole wii remote
Even though I don't use the tilt controls in either MK8/MK8DX, I can proudly say that I finished 3rd in a Mario Kart 8 200cc local tournament where the organizers only let me compete with the Wii Wheel even though I had a WiiU Pro Controller with me and the finals were three persons with wiimote + nunchuks and me with the Wiimote.

Let me set the scene: your in 1st place, it’s the final lap your can see the finish line....then you hear the sound of a blue shell, it approaches and right before you can cross the finish line it explodes, then a red shell icon appears at the bottom of the screen and hits you EXACTLY when you gain control again, then 3 racers pass you, then a 4th one knocks you slightly of course or worse into a pit. You then cross the finish line in 7th place.

@@KingExalted Without coins it would be too easy to hold first place. Besides if you know what you're doing you can get a defense item anyway. Holding the coin until the next box guarantees you'll get an item that isn't a coin.

I’m the kind of player that literally always picks the most balanced stats possible. I pick a heavyweight, I do a light kart, I pick a lightweight, I do a fast kart. I have no idea why but I just like having none of my stats be low

Mario Kart Wii lobbies are mostly Funky Kongs on Flame Runners, Mario Kart 7 Lobbies are Metal Marios on B Dashers with Red monster tires and Mario Kart 8 Wii U lobbies were Mortons on Mach 8s.

Genuinely think MK8D needs some new characters. Kamek, Funky Kong, Goomba, Hammer Bro, Birdo, Diddy Kong, the list goes on.
Same, I also think they should add in captain falcon, they already have 2 tracks from fzero and his car, and since there's no fzero games on the horizon yet, it's a no Brainer

My 4 year old started playing 8 Deluxe with me. 50 CC + Smart steering makes it impossible to come in last place. You can set the controller down and be guaranteed 1-4th place. That being said, I found a new challenge. I try to stay in 2nd place, and shoot anyone that passes me. That guarantees that she can stay in 1st.
The Mario Kart 64 player (me): "These balloon battles feel lame with this point system. What happened to the good old fight to the death?!"
Seriously, it was perfect. Everyone has three balloons, and the game is done when there's only one player remaining. You can steal a balloon with a mushroom, and if you die while there's more than one player remaining, you turn into a bomb-car and can go kamikaze on someone. Why would they throw this away?! There isn't a single battle mode better than balloon from MK64.

To answer both statements made here, Balloon Battle changed because it was too heavily focused on camping out players rather than trying to hit everyone else, a single game could go upwards of 15 minutes especially on large maps like Big Donut (legit the worst map in 64) and we all know how much people hated how large the Maps/Racetracks for Battle mode were in Wii U's MK8. In an online environment with up to 12 players especially, that could get boring fast. Losing all your balloons is still punishing, you lose half the points you've scored and you only respawn with 3 balloons rather than the 5 you begin with, but overall battles are focused on just that, actually BATTLING! There's an argument that this shouldn't apply to local play and there should be a "Classic" option, but it's unlikely nintendo would want to go back to that format again... Love or hate it, the format is here to stay, just be glad it's not Forced-Teams like in Wii (even offline) which kills a lot of the fun...
As for the statement "There isn't a single battle mode better than balloon from MK64." then that's a big fat NO. Mario Kart DS had the best format for Classic Balloon Battles with better maps, 8 player support, the option to play in teams (which compliments the new state you enter when you die) and the best part overall, the ability to be tactical with your balloons which now have to be filled manually. Do you get to 3 balloons asap for safety at the cost of being a sitting target and getting worse items, or do you play it risky and get a better item with only 1 balloon and therefore will be out if you get hit even with reserve balloons? Pair this all with tighter Kart Controls, and overall faster gameplay and you've got the most complete classic battle package in the series.

0:54 biggest thing for me is no inside drift, it almost feels like a cult, at first you it’s kinda weird but you keep trying it cause it’s what’s best, but then you get used to it and can never go back to normal mario kart.

Back when my friends and I played Double Dash, all of them would only choose Baby Park every single time. I made sure to fight them back on it by picking Rainbow Road on the rare occasions it was my turn to pick the track.
They did not like that :P
