@@TheAvalanchilator it's also a fog of war map on a ship map that surrounds with gargoyles and one eyed monsters that can fly and shoot you with javelins and magic. So on top of limited movement, you only have 3 flying units which are squishy pegasus knights and a Cormag who isn't good yet cause he was just recruited last chapter. And you can't just sit in one place because L'Arachel comes from behind to "vanquish evil!" despite being a measly troubadour who can't even defend herself, so you have to be proactive and get in the thick of it to rescue and recruit her. So yeah, F that!
@@floricel_112 that's one way of looking at it. Or you can just seige the other ship with strong units and keep your weak ones behind others. Javelins exist for you too. Either way, this is sacred stones, it's easy to get as much 1-2 range you need

When i replayed Sacred Stones i was trying to kill Orson and it was so hard and i just gived up and just benched him while hes in the start of the chapter so i could level up the other bois

I dont know what you guys are on about. I got amelias defense and speed and strenght maxed out when she was a general. Uh and i once had a knoll summoner who had 28 resistance. So a magic tank that shits consequence free hits. Also is colm supposed to get 186 evasion?

Because they need to chant the spells. Can't chant if you're mute.

In no game so far has any chanting happened. Not even with something like the Summoner, I think its mostly just there to be an annoyance with no good explanation as to how it works

Yeah, I guess silence making you unable to talk to characters confirms that mages have to say things out loud to use magic. Maybe they need tomes as references for what they need to say?

@@Koppu1doragon I used Amelia and made her a Paladin because 1) pre-promote bias and 2) I usually don't use Knights and I wanted a Paladin anyway. For normal mode, anything goes. I used all the trainees. It was fun.
To be fair, benching Seth can be a fantastic idea.
If you want to get any kind of difficulty out of the game at least.
Seth is interesting because he isn't an aged old man trying to keep up with the younger generation. He's the best knight in the realm who is recovering from an injury received at the beginning of the game. His levels are just him getting back into fighting shape.
It's a nice subversion.

Cormag really is a nice guy. He doesn’t even try to murder Eirika, he tries to duel her, which gives her time to explain and gives himself time and a level-head to figure things out. Also his wiki entry says he likes kittens, lol.

The smile on my face when he showed up in heroes and one of his voiced lines is him shouting for a healer becausea kitten is injured. Cormag is my favorite wyvern knight because of it.
I think for fire emblem introduction, this game is the best of it.
- Visually pleasing (best of all gba games)
- new user friendly
- can still make the game difficult with player induced restrictions
- cool monster lines. Final boss not a dragon
- highly memorable characters
- can grind if the player believes it’s needed
Personally my favorite fire emblem game. Also my first. Brought me into the world of strategy that I didn’t know existed. However the newer games are really phasing out the idea of “strategy” in fire emblem. Let’s get rid of abilities please.
Personally I like abilitys but I can see why people dislike them
My first was Blazing Sword, but for me Sacred Stones is still my favorite and I think a big part of that is that Lyon is an amazing character.
you had pierce and silencer extra crit (berserker, swordmaster) ,water walking and pass in Fe 8 so abilities were in the game.
I agree that abilities shouldn't be on every single class tho.
i agree to an extent; i like skills/abilities for making everyone feel more unique, but i don't like how many of them are proc'd based on a % chance like Sol, Astra, Luna, Aether, etc. those should consume HP like combat arts in echoes

I was doing really well on it... except I moved my Garcia onto the other boat too far because I thought there was no one there (there were only like 2 enemies left) and you know what happened? He got crit... he would have died anyway, but the crit really rubbed the salt in the wound

Since it contains the secret shop. Its a dead brake for me. Before i can start this chapter i have to evolve every unit and get them to level 20 again to know what stats i need to pump up to have them be the best they can be. Everything after chapter 15 is pisseasy because of that. Even on hard. I mean i want a challenge but i also want a perfect run

Okay but real talk? Eirika handing the stone to Lyon was the result of her inability to let go of her hopes to save him. It's a bit of a foolish mistake, but it's justified by her personal motivations and desires and I worry that a lot of fans just ignore that bit of context.
She was overwhelmed by her hopes of getting a point of strength.

My Lute in my first playthrough capped Mag, almost Skill, Spd, almost defense, and Res.
She was 2 off her defense cap (with a dracoshield) and 3hp off hp cap (with 3 seraph robes)
Her only bad stat without those aids was HP, Fe8 being my first Fire Emblem I completed since I got bored of fates a little bit through, thus making it my favourite in the franchise because good villans, good characters, cool monsters, The beautiful princess of peerless beauty, and also Lute. Lute best girl, dont @me, +5 Spd with Excalibur 48 Attack = ??

Yeah, I can remember literally every one, the only exceptions being like, no one. If I think for a minute I can remember basically everyone, Morva, L'arachels Uncle and Joshua's Mom I cant remember their names, but the only ones I even dislike are Kyle and Innes, Kyle is just a bit rude in general and has a grumpy portrait, and Innes is Innes and unfortunatley cant die in the story.
In the end..Fire Emblem Sacred Stones is a Fire Emblem Game where you win without even trying..
Unless you don't use Seth. Then you gotta think.
