I own two of these and they work 100% fine with USB C cables that are USB 3.0 speed and supply more power (mine are 20V 5A). So the cable you tried must be 2.0 or doesn't supply enough power. You're the 3rd reviewer i've seen to not work this out when it's pretty obvious...
Using the Razer Huntsman TE and Razer Huntsman Mini since release and this one is a really nice update. I recommend using the red switches for sure. I have no issues or anything bad with the Huntsman v2 TKL and it works very well and is awesome for gaming. You can switch mode in Razer Synapse for this one between gaming and typing
Impressive review as always! I am looking for a 65% FPS gaming keyboard that I could also use for work. Preferably with tactile switches. Which one would you recommend? Is the latency of the Ducky SF Mecha that relevant?
I think that one is pretty nice, not a ton of premium options out there but you could do something from Keychron if you want to customize one or that Ducky SF is nice too! Or even the Miya pro flarestar
thank you for your detailed review, it helps a lot, i almost went for the linear version before seeing your review. i just returned the k70 tkl champion speed silver 2 days ago, just couldn't use those hair triggering switches, i think the red linear optical on this does the same. i will give a try to the purple ones instead. i heard the clicky sound is not that bad. and 45g force+1.5mm distance is just right on spot. thank you again for your video.
For the cable, it might be an issue with power delivery, since aviators don't deliver as much power as regular cables. For example, this is an issue with keyboards like the Drop Alt.
Whats the brand of that coil cable you are using ? I am wondering if the glorious one would work? The razer coiled look cheap af and are very short too
Hi! I have a Huntsman v2 TKL and with a lot of research I saw that they have a chronic coil whine problem when the LEDs are static at 100% brightness, you can only hear this noise when I put my ear very close to the keyboard. Could you confirm if this happens to yours, please?
Hey man, thanks for the review. You say its not a typing enthusiast keyboard. What keyboard would you recommend for that, that is also not bad for gaming, with not loud switches, and lighting? Thanks a lot!
And on te e doesnt have any resistance on v2 has initial little resistance like on membrane board but acusation point of 1.2mm activates so fast. So if you want no resistance te little bitt resistance which is weird for me fo v2. I never tried in game but if you intrested i will give you feedback about gaming exp with v2😉
Hi, I've got a question, I'm looking for a new keyboard since my logitech G810 suffers a lot from chattering lately. That's why I'd go for optical switches. I'm on the fence between the Razer Huntsman V2, the Roccat Vulcan Pro and the Corsair K100, all in their full-sized versions. Which one is the best and has the best build-quality according to you?
Never knew you reviewed this one.... Just got this one 2 days ago after trying it in the tech store and i wanted to know other peoples opinion on it...
I stopped using Razor KB's. My last one was the Ornata Chroma. Before that I had the Huntsman V1. I can't stand that none of them have an onboard RGB control. You need the Synapse Software to customize the RGB unlike others like the SteelSeries and even the Royal Kludge. Razor lost my loyalty. Their gaming controllers aren't bad at all. The software is definitely needed [as with all high-end controllers].

If only Razer had it with a tactile silent switch..
Thank you for the review, i dont really mind the rattly sound because i only want the "quietness" Of the keyboard.

No prob! Glad I could help
Did you get the one with the purple switches? Do you like it?
5:22 sound test
This is a certified hood classic

Yep. I use USB-C cables that are 3.0 speed and 20V 5A, and they all work with this keyboard.
the stablisers respond really well to a bit of lubing. Much better if you do that.
Do you feel comfortable using it without wrist rest?
Thanks for the review! Solid Destiny gameplay too!

again shoutout to you for being a consistent youtuber!

The sound is something subjective. I personally like it

Hey ! Amazing vidéo :) i hesitate between: Apex pro Tkl / this huntsman v2 or asus rog strix scope rx wireless deluxe. An advice ?
Is there any difference between "HUNTSMAN V2 TKL" vs "HUNTSMAN TOURNAMENT EDITION" in terms of Key Switches (RED).
The V2 has much quieter switches and sound dampening inside!

It's not working with the silly coily cable because it's polling at 8 khz, and the cable can't handle it.
Hi mate, what's the custom cable you're using? I'd like to buy one
Wonder what the purples sound like with it tho
Have you tried a 6A 66W type C to type A cable? It might work.

This or deathstalker v2?
Wheres the capslock light?
What did you prefer more HyperX alloy origin core tkl or this?
Who is the fastest ?
coiled cable where buy?
Respect ✊🏽 such a legend!
I just got this keyboard for free, so far for gaming I do enjoy it.
This keyboard or apex pro tkl ?
the v3 is better than the apex pro
What is the polling rate by default?
1000
for the ESL edition, does anyone know if it is exactly as it looks in the example images on razer if so, is it rgb controlled or yellow locked?
It does have full RGB and seems exactly like the images razer put up when I saw it in the Razer stores
Up your finger strength bro, I've swapped keycaps on all my huntsman
I prefer the te based on reviews
This or the Apex pro tkl what u guys think?
apex pro tkl tbh or the old V1 huntsman TE because the v2 is just not that good for the price
quiet. Nice. But not worth what they are asking.
