- I document taking my 2013 Gallardo LP 560-4 for its first service after owning the car for one year. The Bellevue Lamborghini dealership performed the 8-year service on the car. I show driving to the dealership in the pouring rain, explore the service center and dealership, collect my car, and go over the final bill including revealing the cost.
Props to showing the service invoice. I can certainly handle that
Thanks for posting real world actual costs. Beautiful car.
You bet! Information and honesty are important, it's how we all learn and grow!
I think one of these would look fantastic parked next to my Viper. A big factor for me purchasing the Viper was the low service costs. I like the idea of another V10 with low service costs! Although I’d definitely go for the 550-2
Beautiful car though!
Yeah Vipers and Gallardo's both compliment each other well - both crazy good looks, both V-10s, but you get the more classic front-engine RWD with the Viper. If you track the 550-2 is amazing but for me in the Pacific NW I cannot give up that AWD, really love it for launching and handling in less than ideal temps.
WOW. My Audi R-8 V10 is essentially the same car and I just had the same level of service done, however the cost from Audi was $2,300. You should consider letting Audi do the next scheduled service and save yourself a few thousand dollars.
Audi won't work on Lamborghini's in my area at least since there is a Lamborghini dealership in the area. I've found an independent though Veloce motorsports with Josh who used to work at Lamborghini and he's the best in terms of the work and prices so that that's what I've been doing since this.
@@cruisinggeek3640 That's weird considering they're under the same umbrella.
Actually the cost is not that bad I was expecting around 10K but just over 4 grand that isn't bad at all wow! I'm impressed From what I've been hearing is that this is the Lambo to get is you were to go this route simply because it's better on your wallet hence alot of Audi parts. Beautiful care thnx 4 sharing my friend! I'm in Renton Wa.
Awesome glad a fellow western Washingtonian enjoyed! Prices are even better now that I've been going to Veloce Motorsport in Kirkland/Totem Lake!
@Cruising Geek wow Amazing thank you for the information this is actually my dream car, I would love to see this beauty in person one day.
@@orustusamunade8936 For sure! I hit Exotics@RTC about once a month, and frankly am driving around a lot this time of year so I'm sure it will work out! Find me on Instagram/Facebook if you want to send a message directly as well for event scheduling/ect.
Thanks for showing the invoice and breaking everything down.
Glad it was helpful!
The yearly service alone is equalivant to most people's total monthly car payments. A good reality check for people considering ownership.
You can definitely get it cheaper if you don't hit the actual dealer, but definitely these types of cars have higher running costs so that should always be factored into ownership.
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful car 😍😍😍 and affordable for annual services 👍 hello from Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 👋
Thanks for the warm wishes, I consider this my fancily designed Audi!
This is a good service to perform right before you sell the car. I'd recommend an independent shop for annual service. I just had a $12,000 dealer service performed for $4500 at an independent shop.
Agree, I love my local independent.
Absolute bargain what a great toy worth every penny
It is more expensive than what you would pay for other sports cars and more than an independent but I feel that it was definitely worthwhile to go there, establish a relationship, and get it looked over by the dealership at least once.
Thanks for your compliments, it is an amazing car! Godspeed
EEk, that was a service with nothing actually wrong with the car. Pretty scary for the average person to digest.
Still, I have factored this in to my proposed purchase as I think nearly all the variants of the Gallardo have bottomed out in depreciation so, overall, it is actually not an expensive car to run if you buy at the bottom.
Am several months away but am looking at either an SL (LP or pre) or any manual - might look at a Performante or any 2WD variant. The Balboni is out of reach for me really.
Enjoy the car.
Ade
Thanks for the compliments! The LP550-2 could be a good choice for you, or you could also get any of the AWD models including the superleggera and remove the driveshaft and front hub, and cap it off with the kit that some folks sell. Personally I really wanted AWD for the wet reasons shown in this video LOL.
@@cruisinggeek3640 Yeahm UK is the same and i would be happy with a gated AWD for safety and performance.
Hope to see more content coming. Cheers/
Yoo, is this car really loud constantly on the high way? Like your ears would get numb? thanks!
It's not. One thing about the LP cars (2009-2014) is that if you keep it below 4,000 RPM the engine is quite subdued sounding. Many people prefer the screaming pre-LP engine (2004-2008) since it is even-firing and sounds like a race car at all RPMs, but for me since I cruise a lot with my wife I don't want the engine blasting unless I really wind it up.
Great content! Keep it coming
Thanks so much for the positive words!
great channel, you should have at least 500k subscribers
Thank you so much for your awesome compliment, it makes my day!
Did your service include how much clutch you have left?
They did not and I forgot to ask unfortunately. I'll try to get that info next service.
Thanks I thought I was ready but you just showed me not yet:(
Thanks so much for watching. There's definitely much more affordable options for service than the dealership, but for this first time I thought it would be a fun experience and good connection opportunity to take my car there.
Looking at your service maintenance bill made me really happy I bought a Porsche instead.
Crazy cost . 👍🏻
Yes it was expensive for sure! You can check my newest video to see the comparison with an independent.
Good content!
Glad you enjoyed it
Would it auto upshift and downshift in normal mode (non sport, non auto)
When not in Auto it does auto downshift to prevent stalling, but does not auto upshift.
@@cruisinggeek3640 thank you so much buddy, becoz I recently heard that when in sport mode, it would auto upshift, so I wanna confirm about norma mode, thank you again
Thanks a lot for this kind of information. This is what I needed. What was your insurance costs and road taxes?
Glad that it was helpful for you!!!!
Road taxes? We don't have that in the States.
Do you have to drive the e-gear on the LP's the same way as the Pre-LP's?
I've never actually driven an e-gear pre-LP car, but from the research I've done the LP cars have a bit better transmission and TCU, and the front diff is improved, so it is generally less-jerky and easier to use than the pre-LP cars. I do lift the throttle a bit from first to second and second to third when my wife is with me though to try and give her the most comfortable ride as a passenger.
@@cruisinggeek3640 Thanks for the info man, I'm seriously considering getting a Gallardo (most likely an 09+/LP) as my next car. Just don't know about the E-Gear yet, My last 5 cars have been manual Porsches.
How was you able to get your car back the same day?
It was actually two days later when I picked the car back up but to keep the editing snappy I just jumped to picking it up as me at home is pretty boring LOL.
Yeesh, I think my Porsche 718 Cayman S annual service costs (max ~$1800-$2000 for a 4-yr comprehensive service) are about the limit of what I'm willing to spend on expensive car maintenance. Very nice Lambo you have though!
718 Cayman's are awesome cars! I was thinking of getting one but I really wanted something a little more special, and since the first ever model I built with my dad when I was a kid was a Countach I really wanted to get a Lamborghini.
Check the other video in my channel where I took my car to an independent super car specialist, he was way cheaper and it was a much better experience overall!
i spent 5k CAD in the last month on my maserati GT XD Im gold for one of these then
Drag Times Info...
Russian engineers and American engineers managed to tune up a Gallardo to sprint up to 251 miles per hour (405 kmph).
Super awesome. The perfect Lamborghini ever... The Gallardo doing 0 mile per hour to 62 miles per hour in 3.6 seconds?
That sounds cool! I'll have to look it up. A tune is on the list of mods I'd like to do in the future, I generally don't tune NA cars but want to see how much performance it gives.
Also, the 0-60 times vary according to where you look. Fastlaps says only 3.2 seconds, but Google's in-line result says 3.5. I think it's about 3.3 to 3.4 if you get good traction and hookup. Another mod I want is to get the Michelin PS4 tires, I suspect they will grip a bit better.

Thanks for the info 👍🏽
Is not cheap but neither that crazy expensive either… right?? For being a Lambo
I think it was a little expensive overall, but yes still do able. Last year I went to Josh at Volce Motorsport and the price was not only better but Josh is a super cool dude so I'm going there from now on.
pity you own such a lovely driver and yet inhabit an area super prone to such a crappy climate. I bought an Alfa Romeo back in 2004 from that vicinity and the rust damage from that climate was significant. nothing can be down of course because we can't always pick and choose.
Fortunately the Gallardo is all aluminum framed so minor rust issues. Actually part of the reason I got this over an R8 is there is hardly anyone in the area with these types of cars due to weather and wanted to increase the numbers LOL
Honestly that seems actually really reasonable for the average person to afford if u just saved enough money to get a good car payment and not spend stupidlu
I own the car outright so I expected some maintenance costs, so didn't feel too badly about this price but will go to an independent to compare next year.
@@cruisinggeek3640 well i live in oregon!! So we don't have sales tax so that will probably be cheaper
@@cruisinggeek3640 so do u think overall do u think the car is more affordable than people think
dream car
It has been absolutely epic owning it now for almost two full years.
Holy shit that service isn't cheap
Dealerships are always going to be the most expensive option, and the area I live in is generally more expensive than average as well.
FIFTY BUCKS for one spark plug?!! Forget that. I only go to the dealer for absolutely necessary things. If you can't do it yourself, even if you went to an independent European specialist, it wouldn't have cost you that much.
Yeah check my follow up video going to Veloce Motorsports, and independent shop run by a mechanic that worked at Lamborghini for years before going solo. Way better service and prices than the dealership.
What a ripoff! I also own an LP G, and its super easy to service yourself. This $4k bill can be $300 in parts and 3 hours of your time.
In my younger days I did all the wrenching on all my cars, but after having 4 surgeries in the past 3 years I like to reserve my energy for fun things LOL. Next year I'm going to an independent that specializes in exotics, especially Lamborghinis though I think he does more of the older V12s like Diablos and First generation Mercis.
I agree. The stealership is never a good choice for basic maintenance.
Hey, long time no see~
At least to me your Lamborghini looks better than Huracan.
It’s like Porsche 987 spider or Cayman T over latest 718.
Simpler clean lines with more classic sporty feel to it.
Thanks so much! That's exactly why I bought the Gallardo over the Huracan, it's a much cleaner/classier design. The Huracan is a great car but I love my final edition. Thanks again for watching!
Great Video. A little over priced non the less but great video.
For sure. I'm not unhappy with my experience and wanted to try the local dealership once but definitely will find an independent exotic specialist for my next service.
Yikes! Guess I will stay with my home built Aventador!
Lambo tax is a thing!
$386 for tax?!
Yes our state tax is 11% here on goods. But we don't have a state income tax so it works out okay.
4k for an oil change and spark plugs. Ridiculous.
Check the price from my new independent shop I found, much more sane pricing LOL.
Looks really expensive for what they did
You definitely pay a premium to go to a dealership and it seems the premium is larger the more expensive of a brand you are dealing with.
The Gallardo is very easy to work on yourself you got hosed by the dealer
While I do some stuff myself like the air filters and such I do like to have a professional check the car as well since I'm not much of an expert in car maintenance and repair. I found an independent exotic/lamborghini specialist that I'm going to take the car to next year to see how that goes, should make for a fun comparison video!
@@cruisinggeek3640 yeah the independent places sometimes are less just make sure they have the training needed and a great reputation for their work. I bought my lamborghini at Bellevue dealer as well.
When I buy I vehicle I study it first to know from top to bottom then I do the service myself oil change oil filter checking all the fluids it comes out way cheaper then to take to to then overpriced theives called themselves mechanics
It is awesome to do the work yourself if you can!
Thats far too much money for a Service ,thats only so expensive because it was a Lamborghini dealer. Next time go to an Audi Dealer.
Audi dealers will not take Lamborghini cars unfortunately, at least not the ones in this area. There is an independent that deals with only Lamborghini and McLaren in this area, I'm going to try him in the coming weeks hopefully! Will have a video comparing the two if I do.
@@cruisinggeek3640 here in Germany it is maybe easier because you have a lot of audi dealers here and a lot if people who can repair a Volkswagen. 😉
