- Here is our official pre-lp Lamborghini Gallardo 2004-2008 buyers guide. We try to cover every known issue with the pre lp Gallardo in our buyers guide. These cars are a lot more reliable than given credit for, but sometimes there are some issues that it helps to know about. If you are experiencing some of the problems with your pre lp Gallardo we have developed a couple of rebuild kits listed it below. COMMON ISSUES WE HAVE RESOLVED:
1. Power steering rack leak
- We offer a rebuild kit for this! Inquire at our email address or call us below if you would like us to fix this for you!
2. Lower control arm rebuild kits
- We have a full serviceable lower control arm rebuild kit we now offer. You can send us the entire car so we can use our special alignment/suspension settings or send us just the control arms.
3. Lift Kit Repairs
- Is your Bilstein or Koni lift kit leaking? We have developed a rebuild kit to prevent leaks and if there are damaged parts on the kit we have the ability to custom build the part from scratch!

@@humairimam Have a PPI done from a shop that knows these cars. Some years have issues with the Oil Pump, so look for low oil pressure.

I know who to call when I get a gallardo
I assume the newer the Gallardo the better from a maintenance and running cost point of view?
I am torn between an early manual, an early or later Superleggera or performante.
I'd likely buy from a Lamborghini dealer to make sure it is PPId by professionals and take advantage of a 1 year warranty which I will try to extend. Still, a scary prospect as I do intend to drive it properly.
Yes the newer the Gallardo the less issues you will run into theoretically.
@@HBiAuto It does make sense. I would only get a pre-LP if it a manual version which might lessen the reliability blow smoewhat.
@@HBiAuto had an arancio borealis 08 for almost 10 years . Put 27k on it clutch was still in spec when sold. You might mention the advantage of always running in sport which we did . Only issue we had at the end was lift system leaking . Local indy shop charged 2500 for new seals . Other than that just battery and tires of course . And yes the engine is designed to consume about a quart every 1000-1500 k's . Awesome car . And imo it's worth the $$$ just for the exhaust notes it creates alone ! Lol great info on the car btw .
