The new intro is great, almost as great as that figure. He instantly took centre stage on my Clone Wars shelf, despite some slight paint issues. I commend you for your objective analysis and scoring. I would have struggled to give him less than a 4.5, but I'm far from rational when I see that armour.

I absolutely love this new Obi-Wan Kenobi figure. I currently rank it as my all time favorite Kenobi, and it’s in the running for my 2021 6” figure of the year. It’s that good.
And I love your new set! The shelves behind you look amazing. I dig the risers as they help show off the figures in the middle/back way better. I started using them myself. I look forward to a new room review. I bet you get a lot of requests for that.

Great review! Extra hands and maybe a lightsaber effect like the one we got with Dooku would've been great to improve the value I reckon.

I love these figures. I had been putting off watching reviews because I didn't know if I would be able to find these in my part of Canada. I had managed to pre-order Hawk and Anakin before they sold out, and I did manage to find Obi Wan and Echo in the wild at my local Toys r Us. Such great figures, but for the price point, I think extra hands should have been provided. Thanks for the review Mike. The content is always appreciated.
In my mind Satine and Obi Wan did have a love child, and that person was one of Rey's parents.

I like the new intro. The only one from this wave I've seen is the pilot, which I grabbed. I'd like to find Echo as well. I already had the 6" Cara Dune but was lucky to already have the 3.75" on preorder to go with my Haslab Razorcrest before the actress was fired because it suddenly sold out QUICK! I was wondering if the figure would be canceled but fortunately not. It's waiting in a box for the ship to arrive.
I actually haven’t seen any in stores, but I also haven’t really been doing looking. I am blessed by great patreon supporters who hooked me up
i found all of them but skipped obi-wan for the deluxe boba fett and general skywalker which i regret since i see deluxe boba fett everywhere but have never seen kenobi since and having anakin and kenobi together just seems right
I also agree about the ability to put the figures in a natural standing pose. At this point, I have too many figures to put them in dynamic poses, so that’s my only option. Most of the newer figures are much better balanced and articulated for that than the older ones

The best? ..... "Possibly". In the words of ObiWan. I made a custom version of this using the Bandai Model Kit Clone trooper body and softgoods robes. The last Target Exclusive I have ever seen in store was Molock from Solo, I dont even try anymore.
That sucks. I’m sure your custom is a great substitute though! Probably even better
Another DOPE review.... I picked this one up and Anakin and Hawk but it's still hard trying to find the 212 clone trooper at Wal Green...
That 212th clone hasn’t been released yet to my knowledge. I’m guess we won’t see it until august.

Great review, Mike! I am supposed to be receiving mine this week. I can’t find this wave anywhere in Baltimore. I found Hawk while on travel in Ohio, but I had to pay $38 each (ouch) for the other three. The new intro came out awesome!

I actually don't like extra accessories I'll have to store. For example, extra hands and extra guns give you a lot of posing options, but then the extra accessories have to be stored somewhere off shelf and that's annoying to me.
I completely understand, but I personally wound rather have extra pieces hanging around with options than paying the same amount of money for fewer items. To each their own!
Solid intro. Though I am always here for your stellar figure reviews. I love this figure. Perfect? No. But I just love The Clone Wars. You bring up valid points of price increase. And still no extra hands or robes. This guy was super hard for me to find. Probably the most difficult figure I have. One day I went to 7 targets in 80 miles and no luck. Finally a friend go me one. Long story short. Exclusives suck. Great video, great room.

Love the new intro homie, and I really love this figure! Definitely contender for figure of the year but Boba Fett is still the best to me. This figure also really makes me want a Satine figure now 😭

Hasbro has truly come a long way with their Star Wars 6 inch figures. They weren't perfect but still had good qualities. But I think at this point, they reached their highest point with this Obi-Wan. I guess you can say Obi-Wan's figure has the high ground even as an action figure.

The knee pad thing only bothers me in cases where it hangs lower than the knee when bent so you couldn't pose the figure kneeling or something. This figure doesn't have that problem and I love it. My favourite Obi Wan, and one of my favourite Black Series figures.

I’m glad Hasbro has mostly abandoned the double jointed elbows and knees. Sure you can get the double joints in more poses, but I don’t care when those joints completely destroy any sense of a human form. Articulation is overrated if it makes the figure look like it belongs in the Bionicles line.
I also prefer the ability to pose these figures in natural standing poses instead of wild action poses. So preservation of the human form trumps articulation every time for me.
I completely agree with that. The lack of double joints doesn’t hinder the joints all that much, but they look a lot better
Please Hasbro give us Clone Wars Plo! It would be at least half reuse probably anyway

About accessories, I know I’m in the minority when I say I don’t want my figures with too much random accessories that I have to store elsewhere. That said, it is always good to give customers options, and I certainly is cool with Hasbro including more if it makes other collectors happy (as I said, I realize I’m the minority here).
There are some figures that accessories are done brilliantly though, like the extra face and goggle and scarf for the rebel hoth solider, because it enables troop building. And the fact that it can be stored in the backpack is absolutely awesome. Or a removable phase one clone trooper helmet for the previous obiwan clone Commander release. But I won’t fault a figure for being simple with what it comes with if the alternative is for it to come with a jetpack that doesn’t add much to the figure itself.
My two cents. Please don’t crucify me.😂
Lol not gonna crucify you, you stated your opinion and made a decent case for it. I will always want more accessories, because I feel like it greatly increases the value of a figure.
But I totally get where you’re coming from and even sort of agree!

With that being said, good review! That paint on the back was pretty bad 0_o. My Anakin had some issues with the skirt itself I’m curious if yours has the same issues.
Also I’m glad hasbro does the realistic look. Lots of people complain that they should be animated when that’s actually the stylized look. Hasbro needs to fix the clone troopers.

Keep trying. I’ve noticed on the Target app a couple of times this one and Anakin keep popping in and out of stock randomly, but only for a few minutes at a time. Gotta be quick and diligent though.
Never seen this and Echo. only have Anakin and Hawk... BTW, where'd you get those colored risers?? They look nice and I dig 'em! As always, great review Mike!

The new knees are so much better than the old legs. It's really nice to just have legs that look normal. The knee pads aren't that big of a deal for me.

If I ever see him in store it'll be hard to pass up Obi because I don't have him & that clone armor is appealing. I'm telling myself to wait until after the Kenobi series.
Learning about Kenobi's love interest Dutchess Satine is something I bring up to intrigue people who haven't watched TCW. That new intro is awesome!

Good review Mike! I really like this figure, I'm a big fan of The Clone Wars Obi-Wan, and this release really looks to hit the spot. Bit of a shame however about the sloppy paint-apps.

I just hope hasbro doesn't keep making Clone Wars figures target and walmart exclusives. I constantly see Hawk and Anakin in stores, but Obi Wan has slowly gone away. I've never seen an Echo in store, and I'm not gonna pay $50+ from someone living in their moms basement screaming for the meatloaf.

This is #2 Obiwan for me behind the Ep 1 version. Ep3 is one of the worst BS figures ever made, ep 2 head is no good. ANH archive is good, but the new face print on old sculpts rarely works.
That’s episode 3 Kenobi is such a disappointment. Especially with nothing changes with that archive release
