I’m just getting into kayak fishing and watching this video and all your videos is making it easier for me to decide on what kayak and accessories I may go with. Thanks to you and your sponsors. Keep up the great work. Thanks, James
It's such a big difference! I went to the store intending to by an outback 2 years ago. Sat in the PA 2019, and was sold. Here we are on PA number 2, and I can never go back lol
Gday, love the set up. Just a suggestion, you could have the drop anchor at the front so you could have the powerpole down and the anchor down at the same time if needed. Cheers 🤙🏻
I just got my Hobie 12 ft pro angler 360 today....I'm so excited to try it out and there are so many things you can do with it. I'm looking at getting a fish finder for it, but do you have extenders on your seat? Mine doesn't sit that high up.
Sweet ride. Sold my Ranger Z520 to start Kayak bass fishing. The Hobie is top of my list to buy. How tall and what do you weigh? And how stable is the Hobie to stand up cast and skipping a jig
Love the vid, very informational!! Question about the Buzbe, how does the plastic inside the box hold up to the rubber worms? They usually melt anything they come in contact with over a period of time. Thx
Great walk through video! I’m on the fence between a PA12 and a PA14. The only reason I am thinking of a PA 14 is stability. Since you have had both, how much more stable is the 14? Thanks!
I also had a John boat for a couple years, have a PA14 360 coming in for me by the end of the month and I’m stoked! Why did you end up kayak fishing instead of sticking to a John boat? Sometimes I feel a little crazy for picking the pa14 over a boat 😂
@@aaanglers Same here! I have a small truck and have a ton of electric motor or kayak only lakes around me around 45min away. I’m wanting to fish more of those and hit some rivers here in IL and the hobie will be better for that for sure! Seems like it’ll handle bigger lakes around me just fine too.
Could you tell me the reasons you went with the PA14 as opposed to the PA12? I'm looking to purchase the PA next year but I'm not sure which model to get. Obviously the 14 has more storage, which isn't really that important to me, and I've read that it's a little faster. Both are obviously very stable, just interested in your reasoning behind the choice. Thanks!
I’ve owned the 12 and it’s not even close. The 14 is the only way I would go, so much more storage and rod holders and room to move. And I fish small waters
@@aaanglers Appreciate the response. I fish small waters as well, but can't decide which would be a better fit for me. I'll take what you said into consideration and probably demo them both. Thanks again!
Man that is an awesome Hobie kayak you have. I love how you have it set up. Love those Wheels makes it so easy to carry it. Question? On the drive I did not see the straps that go across the top of your foot. Is that a new option or did you take those off. My reason for asking is I have big very very wide feet sz15 6 EEEEEE with very fat wide toe and my feet will not fit through those straps. A guy at a boat ramp let me try to see if my foot will fit through on there Hobie. He saw how wide my feet were and was curious to And I couldn't get it to fit through. The guy was shocked how wide my feet were. We both learned something at that moment. I want to upgrade to this kayak but I don't know if it's going to work out for me. I have to kayak barefooted👣 because of this. I can't use the foot brace on my kayak because my feet are too wide and they won't stay on they just keep falling off. But I really would love to upgrade to this pedal Drive kayak. It really sucks having big very wide feet I never thought it would affect kayaking. Thought it would only affect Footwear which sucks for me too. Good video brother keep up the good work.
@@aaanglers O ok you kayak Barefooted 👣 too that's awesome man. Oh the straps come off ok. I don't see why you need them on the Kayak. I can agree with you with no footwear. I am used to doing things barefooted 👣 anyway because I'm barefooted 👣 95% of the time. The only Footwear out there that will fit me is flip flops which barely fits my foot because my feet are wider than the flip flops strap. Thank you man your information was helpful.
New to your channel, loving the videos. I’m debating on a PA 360, idk if I wanna get a 12 or 14.... 5’7 210lbs. Transport in my Colorado and wheels no matter what size.
Installed the Boonedox landing gear on my Hobie about a month ago - nothing but regret right now. Extremely difficult to get the gear in/out of the knuckles to re-position...and they are a new set as well. Been working on grinding down the inserts for a better fit, but it's a major hassle.
I’m thinking about added BD Groovy wheels to my PA so you saying you have new set of groovy wheels w/ square bracket inserts or a new set of the old style w/ the round bracket inserts?
@@georgefitzhugh6455 Here's the link to the kit I ordered. I had Boonedox verify it was the right set of parts. I have a Pro Angler 12 with 360 mirage drive. boonedoxusa.com/collections/landing-gear/products/groovy-landing-gear-hobie-2015-current
So my set actually functions really well. I had issues with the older set I had, I wonder if it is the alignment or the side bolts being too tight? Have you thrown some dry silicone lube on it?
Great video , gave me some ideas for mine that I will be getting this weekend. Only thing u need is a trolling motor. And I did sub and will give your channel a chance.
I wanna see the video where you say hey wifey im getting a hobie.. i did that with my wife she goes yeah sure ok. How much is it? I go a little over 4500$ lol she laughs hysterically and walks out the room. Lol
late to the party, freeze a one gallon jug if you're going out for a really long day and it'll stay cold all day long and by the time you are done with your refill bottle you have an ice cold gallon ready to use if need be or in an emergency stored in your front hatch.
Will a Hobie at $4700 really going to make me catch more fish? I seriously doubt it. That's like saying the guy that has the most expensive bass boat wins all the tournaments.
Jon boat > kayak because job boats are way cheaper, have more space, can bring a buddy, can have a gas and or trolling motor, can stand up more so than a yak.

Always looking for new or old rigging videos so far I saw abt 7 of yours 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

My first time seeing you on the tube - thanks looks good lets see you catch some fish on that cool boat...
Thanks for watching, I have a ton of fishing videos out of this yak from last year. I'm on ice now
About to get the PA14 and start kayak fishing. Really helpful video!
Sick setup. Seriously makes my nucanoe frontier look like a civic vs a GTR.
Insane setup bro. I'm upgrading to the 2020 PA from the outback. The rigging is well done.

I'm saving up for the 2021 Mirage Pro Angler in white. But the way things are going I might have to see what the 2022 model looks like.
and this whole time i thought you had the Snorlax sticker because you can never wake up early in the morning to go fishing lol
😂 that too
Where did you get the hardware for your drag anchor? Pulley and guide tabs. That is a great setup!
It’s just a standard anchor trolley kit. Just find one that fits your yak 🙌

what about drag or banging sound with the drag anchor is there any?
None! It’s barely noticeable
you should have put a trolling motor with spot lock instead of making holes for anchor and ancor rod
