@@PatternStudio101 Hey Jin.... I saw your one video (Master class) I learn something new about base line & pant balanace which is very helpfull for me. Is there is any other master class plz give me link. I also get a mail about' Mastering pattern block ' but there is no link. You talking about online course is that a paid course????

Hi. Thank you. Probably the best Tutorial. At minute 2:58 you mentioned the Extension minus "1/2 of an inch". What does that mean? If the extension is 3/4 of an inch (in this case 1 1/2" overla[p), should the line be extended 3/4 - 1/2 = 1/4 of an inch only? I am only a bit confused on the "minus 1/2"" part.
Hi. What I cant find anywhere..what if we dont want a collar stand width same all the way? Like, if we want it wider at the back center, narower at front..do we do it on upper or lower line? I do not want to change the width of the collar. Thank you.
It doesn’t matter. You can add and reduce the width you want. If your bottom angle is more curved, the collar stand will sit more flat on your front neck.
Hi shulin, in the beginning (at 0:55) I explained it. When you make the front pattern, you add 3/8" or 1/2" at the center front for the button closure. That's the extension. If you added 3/8" on the front, you add 3/8" at the collar stand. Make sense?
If the “extension” refer to the overlap piece of fabric on the front center of a shirt where we add buttons, it is usually approx. 1” width. When we drape the collar pattern, it is half neckline circumference. My question is -- is it supposed to be back + front + 1/2 of extension? Thank you.
@@shulinmueller4851 if you say 1" width overlap, the extension is 1/2". You add 1/2" at the center front. 1/2" at right side, 1/2" at left side, so you will have 1" width overlap. But often times, extention is 3/8", so 3/4" overlap. When you measure the neck, measure the front neck up to the center front, and measure the extension separately. If you’re not clear at any point, please let me know 😀

Please define "extension". How do you measure the Extension?
