Thank you for your really lovely comment❤️ You can experiment and try adding a hint of flavour to the water. I have never tried it, but think that the rice paper will take on the flavour. Love love love your videos. Very well explained! I was wondering if, once done, if they can sit in a fridge (hopefully not too humid) and stay their shape? Have you ever tried? Thanks again!
Thank you so much for your lovely comment. I have stored in the fridge for short periods of time. However, for a longer period I would suggest that once you have made it, and it is fully dry (if you are not going to use it straight away). To store it in an air tight box (preferably if you have them silica gel packs, they absorb moisture if you have problems with high humidity in the air). If where you are is not humid, just store in an air tight container. I still have this Rice Paper Flower I made for this tutorial from last year . I live in Thailand where the humidity during the rainy (which is now) goes up to 70% - 80%+ humidity and the flower is doing fine, as I have stored it with silica gel packs. I hope this helps🤗🥰
Thank you, they are really pretty and easy to make😍 You can make these flowers in whatever colours you choose. Edible gel colours come in a wide variety of colours, so you can be as creative as you want to be🤗🤗

How beautiful. I don’t know if you’ll see this because you posted this a while ago but I tried making the petals and when I took them out of the oven, they broke into lots of pieces. Even after trying to carefully take them off of the baking paper. Any suggestion? Maybe I soaked them in water too long? I thought maybe I over dried them in the oven but half of one of them was still flexible in a little sticky. Maybe I need glycerin? Thanks, in advance, if you see this.
Thank you for your question. It is hard to know what went wrong, when you made the rice paper petals. Depending on where you are in the world, you could try air drying them (if you have low humidity. Quite a dry environment/temperature), if the oven maybe causing a problem. I would not use glycerin if you have high humidity - the petals will take long to dry and possibly be quite limp and not hold the shape. I hope this helps🥰🤗
since they will be soft if you leave it in the fridge for long, can i put it in a zip lock bag to ensure that it will look good til the day i decorate the cake?
Thank you for your comment. The best way to store your rice paper flower once it is made is as follows: Make sure it is completely dry first when you have made it. Then store it in an air tight box or container with some silica gel bag (the silica gel bags absorb any moisture in the air). They can be kept like this in an air tight box/container for a very, very long time and it will stay hard. Putting the flower in the fridge, the rice paper may become soft. I hope this helps. Let me know how you get on. I have also written a blog to go along with this tutorial, which breaks down each stage in detail. Here is the link for it:www.arisecakecreations.com/home/fantasy-rice-paper-flower-edible-flowers?rq=rice%20paper Happy flower making🥰🤗
Beautiful. I'm trying hard struggling to decorate my cakes (simply) but I've had no tutoring which I need. My baking is fine and I do a great chocolate cake which people want me to decorate now as Celebration Cakes. Don't know where to start but this rose would look beautiful on top of a cake with some rose leaves trailing! I'm going to try as long as I can get stuff on-line! This rose with rice paper is amazing! Thank you. You're so good and confident! 👌❤️
Hi Jane, thank you for sharing your baking/cake decorating journey so far. I never had any offical training either. Like you baking was my first stepping stone into decorating cakes. I just kept practicing, practicing, practicing. I had very basic equipment at first and worked with what I had. The key is to keep practicing, have fun, enjoy the process (don't over think it) and allow yourself to be creative. As you keep going, you will get better decorating cakes, one cake at at a time. Don't give up❤ You will be creating beautiful cakes with ease in no time. Take care🥰
@@AriseCakeCreations what a wonderful person you are! Such a confidence boosting message. Sometimes all it takes are a few encouraging words. It’s good to know you started the same way and your achievements are splendid. Practice really does improve what you do. I wish I’d started to decorate my cakes younger as I’m 74 now but I’ve got such an “itch” for it now. One at a time and not overthinking as you say, is good advice. Thank you so much! I’ll be “popping” by regularly. Stay safe. Kind regards; Jane 🤗👌🇬🇧
You are never to old to start something new! The first step is always the hardest, when starting something new, but once you get started it becomes easier as you go along. I really appreciate your support & your comment. Thank you for sharing a bit about your cake journey. I look forward to continuing to hear about your progress❤🥰 Fellow Brit🇬🇧 I wave the flag for Thailand to🇹🇭🤗
Thank you for your lovely comment & question. Rice Paper dries in heat. If they get wet or there is moisture, then they may loosen and loose there shape. I hope this answers your question😊🤗
This may be a silly comment as I've never used rice paper before, but I wonder how it would go if you tried to stick 2 rice sheets together? You could possibly wet each one with diff colours, like one in dark pink water & one very light pink for am ombre/gradient type effect? Or even doing the 2 diff pink colours but then use dark purple/maroon on the edges and/or yellow on the centre of the bottom rice paper sheet 🤔💭
Thank you for your comment, its not silly at all. That's what creativity and being creative is all about, experimenting, coming up with new ideas, new ways of working and making things!👌 I think your idea sounds great and is definitely worth trying, test it out. I would really love to know how you get on🤗❤
Thank you for your comment🥰 I do have my blog to go along with this tutorial. I outline in detail the number of petals required and the photos maybe clear if that helps, here is the link: www.arisecakecreations.com/home/fantasy-rice-paper-flower-edible-flowers?rq=rice%20paper I made note when I did this tutorial, so when I did another rice paper tutorial I did use a darker plate, here is the link for it: www.arisecakecreations.com/home/cake-top-forward-marble-bc-rice-paper?rq=rice%20paper I hope this help🤗❤
Amazing workmanship. Great tutorial. I have worked with rice paper decorations. But wet rice paper on silicon mat comes out v easily. But on my baking paper it always get stuck n later breaks only while pulling it. Do we need good quality baking paper too. Thank u 🙏
Thank you for your lovely comment. I have noticed there can be a difference in different baking paper quality. It does need to be good quality. I use a Thai brand that is silicone coated, it does not stick at all. If you can find a silicone coated baking paper, this will help🥰🤗
Thank you. I have just made another cake tutorial using rice paper decorations, that I will be sharing this Saturday 28. I actually popped the cake in the fridge overnight and it was still firm & OK in the morning. I will say, I know my fridge had little to no condensation, so this makes a big difference. If you know you have a low condensation fridge, your rice paper cake/decorations will be okay in the fridge. I would do a test piece in your fridge overnight to see how it does. I hope this helps🤗🥰
My oven has minimum temperature of 100 degrees C only..can I leave the petal to dry in room temperature over night? Because I have made rice paper sails that way..will that way work for these petals?
Air drying the petals will definitely work. You can do it the same as the rice paper sails by air drying them. I have done it both ways in the oven and air drying and it works absolutely fine I would love see your flower once you have made it, if you are happy to share it with me🥰🤗
Thank you for your question. I did not moisten them before cutting them. I did you use sharp scissors and cut gently. Some of mine snapped a little to, but that can be part of the design. I have written a blog that goes along with this tutorial. It has more information & tips. Here is the link: www.arisecakecreations.com/home/fantasy-rice-paper-flower-edible-flowers?rq=Rice%20paper I hope this helps🤗🥰
Thanks for your question. I have never tried soaking it with sugar water. I can imagine it may take on some of the sweetness, but that may depend upon how much sugar you put in the water. I am not sure if by using the sugar water, if that will have an effect on the finish of it being dried in the oven (when the water dries out the sugar may burn slightly - the oven temp is very low so this may or may not happen). You may have to air dry it. The rice paper flower overall is more decorative rather than for eating. However, if you are thinking of eating it and want more sweetness, I would suggest you do a test with some rice paper, before making your actual flower. I hope that helps😊 I would love to know how you get on🤗
Thank you😊 Rice Paper Flowers can be stored for a very long time. I still have this flower that I made for this tutorial and that was in June 2021. Store the flower in an air tight container/box (make sure there is no moisture in the container/box). You can also place silica gel packets in the container/box with the rice paper flower, to ensure there is no moisture in the container/box you are storing it in. I hope this information helps🤗
You can definitely make this ahead of time and store it. One you have completed your flower and it is fully dry, you can store it away in an air tight container and if you have them, you can place a few silica gel packets into the container as well. Silica gel packets helps to take away any moisture if there is any moisture in the container. Always make sure to keep your made up rice paper flower away from any water or moisture and it will be fine. I hope this helps😊 I would love to see the rice paper flower you have made, if you are happy to share it with me🥰❤
Hi i made these. Turned out fine xcept da point where i have to detach dried rice paper from parchment paper. Some of the paper got stick to it real bad. Although i was careful not to break it. But da sticked paper is looking wierd. Can u help me with that
Thank you so much❤ These can be made way in advance, however make sure to store them away from moisture. I still have this one I made in June. I've stored it in an air tight container with silica gel bags/packets (they help to remove any excess moisture if there is any). I live in Thailand with high heat & humidity and my Rice Paper Flower is absolutely fine. I hope this helps🥰
Thank you. I am so glad you found this tutorial really helpful. If you make this flower, I would love to see it, if you are happy to share it with me🤗🥰

Thank you for your question. I have never tried soaking the rice paper in a juice - I'm not sure how much of the flavour from the juice the rice paper will take. The best thing I can suggest is for you to do an experiment and see how it turns out 🌸🤗
Thank you for your question. I am not sure if painting the colour on will give a good even coverage. However, as you have mentioned, it is worth trying it out, it maybe easier. I would love to know how you get on🤗🥰

They can be kept like this in an air tight box/container for a very, very long time and it will stay hard. Putting the flower in the fridge, the rice paper may become soft. I hope this helps. Let me know how you get on. I have also written a blog to go along with this tutorial, which breaks down each stage in detail. Here is the link for it:www.arisecakecreations.com/home/fantasy-rice-paper-flower-edible-flowers?rq=rice%20paper
Happy flower making🥰🤗
Very Impressed! Had to subscribe! Big Up!
Thank you. Welcome, thank for subscribing🥰🤗
I look forward to continuing to hear about your progress❤🥰 Fellow Brit🇬🇧 I wave the flag for Thailand to🇹🇭🤗
WOW! So beautiful!
Thank you for your lovely comment🤗
Wow wow wow!!!! Thank you very much.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment❤🤗
very beautifül. do flowers loosen with heat?
I would really love to know how you get on🤗❤
I really appreciate this tutorial 🎉🫂
Very beautiful! Lovely presentation!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate your lovely comment🥰
Very delicate!

Simply …. WOW !
Thank you for sharing 🤟🏻❤️💋🥰 I love it !
Thank you for your lovely comment🥰🤗
Wow, very, very beautiful
It would be great when using while material to have a darker working surface so we can see better. Thank you for your creations!
Thank you for your comment🥰 I do have my blog to go along with this tutorial. I outline in detail the number of petals required and the photos maybe clear if that helps, here is the link: www.arisecakecreations.com/home/fantasy-rice-paper-flower-edible-flowers?rq=rice%20paper
I made note when I did this tutorial, so when I did another rice paper tutorial I did use a darker plate, here is the link for it:

I hope this help🤗❤
Amazing workmanship. Great tutorial. I have worked with rice paper decorations. But wet rice paper on silicon mat comes out v easily. But on my baking paper it always get stuck n later breaks only while pulling it. Do we need good quality baking paper too. Thank u 🙏
Thank you for your lovely comment. I have noticed there can be a difference in different baking paper quality. It does need to be good quality. I use a Thai brand that is silicone coated, it does not stick at all. If you can find a silicone coated baking paper, this will help🥰🤗

MàaShaAllah ❤ its very beautiful ❤️
STUNNING 💖 thank you! 🙏
Thank you so much for your lovely comment, I really appreciate it🤗❤
I am lucky to find you today...May God bless you🥰
Thank you so much. God bless you to🤗🥰
Mind blowing!
Thank you 😊
It’s so pretty!! Can I put it in the fridge with the cake?
I have done it both ways in the oven and air drying and it works absolutely fine I would love see your flower once you have made it, if you are happy to share it with me🥰🤗
@@AriseCakeCreations sure..I will share my flower pic once I do that 😍😊
@@krithigaas3010 Great🙌🏽 I can't wait to see it🥰❤🥰

Thank you so much for your lovely comment🥰
Thank you so much for your tutorials you are amazing
Thank you so much for your lovely comment🥰
did you moisten the sheets before cutting them? mine snapped when I tried to cut them.
Thank you for your question. I did not moisten them before cutting them.
I did you use sharp scissors and cut gently. Some of mine snapped a little to, but that can be part of the design. I have written a blog that goes along with this tutorial. It has more information & tips. Here is the link:

So beautiful!
Thank you so much. I really appreciate it😊
This is soooo beautiful. 💕👍
If I soak in colored sugar water, will it absorb the sweetness?
I hope that helps😊 I would love to know how you get on🤗
Beautiful!!! How long you can store those rice paper flowers?
Thank you😊 Rice Paper Flowers can be stored for a very long time. I still have this flower that I made for this tutorial and that was in June 2021. Store the flower in an air tight container/box (make sure there is no moisture in the container/box). You can also place silica gel packets in the container/box with the rice paper flower, to ensure there is no moisture in the container/box you are storing it in. I hope this information helps🤗
So beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ & thank you for the tutorial 😍
Thank you for your really lovely comment. I am happy to share🥰🤗
can i make this ahead of time? atleast hiw many days? or can i store this for a long time?
Can u help me with that
They are beautiful!!! How far ahead can I make them?
Thank you so much❤ These can be made way in advance, however make sure to store them away from moisture. I still have this one I made in June. I've stored it in an air tight container with silica gel bags/packets (they help to remove any excess moisture if there is any). I live in Thailand with high heat & humidity and my Rice Paper Flower is absolutely fine. I hope this helps🥰
Very Good teaching and explaining ❤️
Thank you. I am so glad you found this tutorial really helpful. If you make this flower, I would love to see it, if you are happy to share it with me🤗🥰

Caraca,. Que lindo, floresaravilhosas,. Parabéns.! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🌼✨
Muito obrigado🥰🤗
I wish you could use a dark paper underneath coz it's hard to see how you cut the rice paper. A bit of contrast would help a lot
I realised this after I made the video. I have written a blog that goes along with this tutorial, which shows and explains the number of petals I made. Here is the link:www.arisecakecreations.com/home/fantasy-rice-paper-flower-edible-flowers?rq=rice%20paper
I hope this helps🥰🤗

Would soaking the paper in juice (eg. Cherry juice) work?
Thank you for your question. I have never tried soaking the rice paper in a juice - I'm not sure how much of the flavour from the juice the rice paper will take. The best thing I can suggest is for you to do an experiment and see how it turns out 🌸🤗
Beautiful!!!
Thank you so much😊
Please can you leave it overnight for it to dry ?
Thank you for your question🤗 Yes, you can leave it overnight to dry😊
Why you don't paint the wet petals on the paper basis ? I'll try because probably is easier.
Thank you for your question. I am not sure if painting the colour on will give a good even coverage. However, as you have mentioned, it is worth trying it out, it maybe easier. I would love to know how you get on🤗🥰

Hi is the tape sticky? or not thank you
It is floral tape, which become sticky when pulled gently. As you wind it on itself it sticks automatically. I hope that helps😊
