    Did you hear that *crunch?! ⚡️ Sour Cream and Onion or BBQ?

      Bbq, or Cheddar and Sour Cream.

      I'm sure an exacto blade in a pen, can give way more control. They're about $5 the brittle edges look more like ruffles on many petals.

      You can get any flavor powder for homemade chips. It would be pretty to put it under foods to serve at a dinner party etc.

      I could see these dusted along the edges with some cheddar cheese powder on a paintbrush like a delicate flower. Very interesting. Or some blue pea powder or ube powder. That would be so pretty.

    As a Vietnamese, rice paper and rice take a huge part in our cuisine. And there are so many different kind of rice paper as well. My family usually fries the coconut rice paper (from my hometown in middle of Vietnam), it includes coconut milk, a lot of sesame seeds and some garlic and it's a lot thicker than normal rice paper. Absolutely tasty and it's the ultimate snack, you can also grill it but i think frying them brings out a lot of that coconut flavor. It would be awesome if you could try it someday Emmy.

    For seasoning, something with harissa powder would look beautifully pink! Perhaps some beautiful alternated combinations of nice seasonings with bases of turmeric (yellow), harissa (pink/purple) and paprika (scarlet) and some combination with cumin to make a rich orange would work for functional and visual seasoning.

    • @shannondore
      @shannondore 2 года назад +6

      Wow! With all those flavor combinations you could make a bouquet of flowers.💐

    For some reason, these make me want to dip them in ponzu sauce. I think it's the idea of the spring-like flower with the bright zingy-ness of ponzu. It would cut the oiliness as well, but you'd have to dip and then immediately bite to get that amazing crunch! These would be a really fun dish to make with guests over as a super easy but impressive appetizer. Super cool!

    I wonder if the center, the yolk part of a boiled egg or half of one would work. If the flower was smaller you could use them to top a salad. In my family we make 2 kinds of salads that get topped with boiled egg. One is a spinach salad the other a wilted bitter lettuce salad with bacon bits and scallion or onions and German boiled dressing. Either of those would be pretty adorned with a few edible eggy flowers.

    You can dip the rice sheets and salty water for 10 seconds, then put them in a nonstick pan, with some low cal cooking spray. Cook them until they have a somewhat stiffer flower tortilla type consistency. Then put them on a paper plate and microwave them for 10 seconds at a time, flipping them frequently. They will finish drying out, and puff up slightly. They are extremely low calorie and you can season them with nutritional yeast, or cinnamon sugar

    I LOVE this idea, and I have many thoughts! First thought, if you wanted them frillier, you could use Basmati rice, the longer grains would be more delicate. I'm wondering about food grade color spray, for the petals, to give you more colors for a tasty buffet! Third idea, would they work with color (or not), then a light sprinkle of icing sugar, for a sweet treat? Fourth idea, that a little careful folding and craft, you could make berries or mini flowers to sprinkle for decorations....I'll shut up, soon as I say that I absolutely love your soul, your spirit, your mind, your person.
