I dont understand how the user didnt consider the negative points of EV car before buying it... Even after knowing all negatives ,the user has purchased a car that too for 70 lakhs..Anyone who considers to buy EV cars knows these negative points very well but user after buying it , is now fuming over it..utterly ridiculous...as a starter,he could have bought tiago or a nexon ev
I suppose, previously this guy owned harrier and had complaints on service which everyone knew Tata has that issue especially in TN but still he bought the car and suffered. Any how he helps us by sharing it and make the right decisions.

@@guppi277 brother here the issue is what is the mileage you will get in a EV, when driven at a certain speed, so just leave out the speed at which he drives, that's not the issue now

Great video! Shocked to hear that a KIA EV costs 70L in India. I currently own a Tesla Model 3 standard range which costed $43k approx 35L INR. For half of Kia's price I get 270 miles - approx 430 Kms of range. Unless a car manufacturer builds a robust super charging network in India, which I am hoping will take forever, comparing a Kia with Tesla will never be apt. Tesla, more than a car company, it is a data company. Tesla runs the best software and no one can match their super charging network.
The EV6, Ioniq5 twins are objectively better than the model Y let alone 3 standard range. The only thing Tesla does better is their charging network.

70 lakhs for kia?? One must be crazy.
The Indian car industry survives with this kind of people .
In India EV will not work for another at least 3-4 years
bcz
1. infrastructure is not developed.
2. Battery life - technology
3. Range
Why don't car manufacturers tie-up with petroleum companies for charging point especially on the highways ??
For EV cars most two important things are 1. Charging Infrastructure 2. Inbuilt Route Planner. Both are very good here in denmark. I personally own ev6, here it costs around 60Lakh. For the weather conditions here, i get around 350km on full charge. Whereas the charging speed in almost all highway chargers gives max 350kwh. So ev6 can take max 235kwh. Every 250km i take breaks and in the meantime car also charges to 90% in 30mins. So, for India right now ev cars are not a best fit in my view as we lack the above 2key things which drives everything.
Can you say what is the average speed you maintain, I guess with the 350km you get per charge, you average speed might be 100-130?, as I have said above Evs are throttle sensitive and speed sensitive,
And in India as you said you can push the ev6 to the limit provided you have the charging infra and plan carefully, I think the ev6 can do 120kmph and still have some battery left for a 500 km drive with one top up along the journey
@@Raveendhana Here the speed limits are : 110km on city highways and 130km on outside free highways. So mostly 60% of the route will have 110km as the speed limit.
@@karthidev389 so you are getting 350 km, by maintaing 100-110 in highways?
Because if you are able to maintain 100-110 and still get 350 na, with a good infrastructure it's good where you live, here infrastructure is a main issue, and with the battery depleating faster at high speed then we need more DC fast chargers in highways
Yes i get around 350km.
Very good review with both experts..
But, EV la 140 pona kandipa oru 30% addnl batery drain agum dhab.. ev useful for city driving..
He cud have chosen Kona/ZS ev..to check the pros and cons of ev in practical usage for his driving dynamics
If your preference is long travel for more than 300-400kms one side then EV is not your choice this is basic,
How an automobile reviewer don’t know this basic before choosing a EV.
He drives with a heavy foot. Obviously will get less mileage
Avar 700 mileage eh ketu yemandhu poitar polla,
One thing I will say is today EV is in such a way that, 350 nu sonna 200 attain Panna you need to drive at 75-85, with smooth acceleration, the more higher capacity the more better which is also influenced by the motor power too, ippo avar andha power ku 700 Arai claimed na, with 90-110 average and occasional 120kmph, he might get 350-500 depends on your throttle response, so your travel time will be influenced by how you drive in evs, how many times you might need to charge, time taken to charge etc. He would have said for the way he pushes he will need a 1000km car. Then he might get a 500 atleast. This is my take. And I experienced the same in kona electric

@@vijayendranvijay4538 Dai ba........ Du I never said you will get the full Arai mileage , yenna those mileage is based on standard test condition, all I compared was ev vs a gasoline vehicle in highways, adhu mileage 7,8,9 thae thararum but still you will easily fill the tank, Anna highways la if your planned range or distance is higher than what your ev can give, then you need to reduce your speed and acceleration to save the battery, plus for urgency even if you want to push your car, you need more charging points and fast charging points too, and if the number of time for charging is more per planned distance it's going to influence your traveling time, as imagine if it take 1 hr to fully charge a tiago every time , it will only add to your journey time, that is what is pointed out, so that's where a higher mileage car might come in handy like a 1000km car, in today's world even 350 car cost you around 13 lakhs this is what I pointed out, so I dont need you fu..... Just love the front and tail view, it looks much more aggressive, love it, but The major drawback in aesthetic aspects is Ev6’s interior, it feels cheaper compared to Tesla, ended up with a model 3, no regrets though
Good that u bought a Tesla. But as a former Tesla owner I can say Tesla’s interior is way cheaper than this car. Fit and finish is really bad on the Tesla.
I bought tiago ev for my working wife... Driving daily 80km...past 6 mo.. Its ok..
Bro as he said any ev it's OK for cities and if you don't push the car, the more you push it the more it will drain
Very good points discussed. Great job Mr. Birla. Very educative for people in dilemma. Certainly, spending 70L and suffering from range anxiety on the highways is not worth. EV infrastructure in Tamil Nadu (in particular) is really poor. The point is: This car has a killer performance 100kmph under 5 seconds, but you can't take it long on the highways (with peace of mind), which makes this performance unusable in the city. That defeats the whole purpose of this high performance. Overall, too early to invest confidence and hard earned money.
I have i-20 ,i chased bmw and jaquar cars, it is also depends upon both drivers driving capability.
they used just half your car speed😂..think abt that before start tlking abut ur driving pride

bro, 120 la 500km tharuthu na athu ok than, avanga mileage 600 soldrathu based on speed than. TESLA also the same if you use like rugged drive that also give the less mileage same other petrol car also
This car cost 30-35 lakhs in other countries. In South Korea it's mostly used as taxi. Here it cost 70 lakhs because of import tax. This car is CBU not even CKD (ionic 5 is ckd that is y it cost less)
He could have gone for Honda City hybrid. Best value for money car for 25lacs .. balance 45 lacs saved
160 kmph la ottuna endha vandiyum 1000 km range kudukadhu.. 100 kulla otta kathukonga
This is a very good car until Tesla is launched. But he is not happy with current charging infrastructure + usage by driving above 100kmph is utterly criminal especially when driving with family. 80 to 90 this user will easily get 450
to 500kms. It’s also sad that user gives too much importance to others comments especially when the car saves so much money on fuel, maintenance and performance.
Valuable video bro 🙂🙏🇮🇳 nandri
Simple, please don't buy EV cars, being in Canada have driven different electric cars including Tesla model 3, model Y, Polestar 2, EV 6, Cadillac, 100% you will regret after buying one. I am saying this even after with a well developed infrastructure for charging in Canada. The main reason is the range anxiety, you will loose sudden range drop in any EVs. It won't be suitable for any long trip even a 200km long distance. Car is something that should take you to Point A to B and it should work for your time. Unless you wanted to drive 30-50 kms per day and you will not take it to any longer road trips which is not worth the cost given the price of EVs when compared to ICE engines.
From this video two conclusion.
1. Dont buy a EV car for now.
2. If at all needed look for used EV. Most people buy and use it for 2yrs and sell them. Buy experience it sell it . Less loss.
BYD E6 is best in class 520km im using 73,000km used 😊😊😊😊😊

When u r capable of buying one ev for 70L in Kia 😱you could have bought one Innova hi cross for highway and MG commet ev for within city for daily use if u are smarter.
In terms of safety, Kia is not the best-selling vehicle globally and isn't included in the supercar category. Kilometer range is a significant concept, but life must survive before it can be considered.
Truthful review. Congrats bro.!!!!!
I have XUV 400 bought 2 months ago driven 9000 kms..mostly I'll drive in Fast mode 70% highways 30% city 100-130kmph always.. I'm getting range of 230-250

Honest and useful information brothers
For this car BYD e6 is very good one with same battery pack same range its proven battery and technology which is accepted by every automobile manufacturers and every signed with BYD for that tesla, toyota and list goes on he wasted his money for only out look of the car
Very informative
His only complaint seems to be Range..which is always subjective. Otherwise guess this is an amazing car.❤
Andha range is not subjective thats been the issue, of how fast the battery is to drain with respective to acceleration, 99 percent of the budget evs don't allow to even do 100 average now
If u mash the throttle 100٪ in highways and if u expect 800 km range, then something is wrong in him...even if he buys a v8 engine, he will then complain of poor fuel economy🤣
@@vijayendranvijay4538 his issue was with that much power similar to a V8, the battery drain is the issue for long distance, such that you have to conservatively drive under 120 to even a mileage of 500, likewise as I said earlier, we have kona with a claimed mileage of 450 but what you get in reality is different,
The goverment will say 100kmph in highways even that is difficult for budget evs, am not defending him but still people make mistakes, the high mileage they say will always make people to make mistakes, BYD gonna come with blade technology let's see how it is
@@RaveendhanaArai is rated as 25 kmpl for ICE engine...so do u get that in city? Achieving 10-11itself is a biggest task..I don't understand ur logic...there is a way how ev cars are meant to be driven..u drive it hard and u expect 700 kms range?Even If u drive a turbo petrol engine like that , your fuel economy and range to empty will take a huge impact...BTW, maintaining speed of 140 consistently on highways is going to risk everyone's life
@@vijayendranvijay4538 OK I will explain, currently EVs are projected as replacement for petrol vehicles, yes if the usage is for city no issues as you are not going cover a huge distance everyone day. But since the ev market is new, a tiago with a highest mileage varient itself gonna cost around 12lakhs with a predicted mileage of 350, a budget user who wants to buy a car for highways also at 12 lakhs will hesitate for the following reasons
1 you talked about Arai and you never get the certified mileage etc, yes I know about it as an engineer and a consultant.
Point is if you are travelling long distance eg my native from Chennai to erode for 430 kms, all I have to do is a tank fill, mileage varies depending upon the power,
2 regarding time, Google says it takes 7 hours now with the road work going on, am not a saint, but am a responsible driver I and my dad maintain 90-110, with occasional 120, with the highways upgraded to 100, now it's not only about speed it's about acceleration too for quick overtakes after doing all this in most case we do 7 hours as per Google said, which includes 30-45 mins for lunch too.
3 so it's not about mileage, mileage is secondary, it's about time you see and putting fuel only gonna take a few minutes, and I don't have range anxiety which will affect my journey time also
4 so coming to EV the issue here is as you said the more you push the more it will drain, in a absolute scenario if you are gonna fast charge via DC it takes 57 minutes, for 10 - 80 in Tiago
5 and for even to attain 200-250 I have to keep my speedo at 75-80 with smooth acceleration, so I have to all this with proper planning
6 then the charging points have to work, then it should have DC etc all the bla bla bla
And I have to get the same 7 hrs travel time
Can you do it?????????
Too much of false information given by the owner Mr. Saravanan
I m an EV owner too, Volvo XC 40 recharge.

my understanding ... seems to be a well designed car, great performance though a little costy for its brand value. but the biggest problem is this guy had purchased without understanding his own need.. it is a pity he purchased a performance car and is complaining that it is responding too fast
He complains about mileage and Brand value which he is already aware of and unacceptable
Owner has such amazing knowledge about other brand cars n its technicalities..
70L is not worth at the moment. Charging stations are not equipped in all the places. It will take around 5 years to develop the charging stations. He should have considered Volvo or GT version cars. truly speaking, if u have considered base version of AUDI, BMW, instead of KIA EV, better. As he said it is good for Citi use or short trips like Chennai to Pondy. Chennai to Bangalore maximum. It's like intercity commuter. But his car looks awesome but only problem with long drive range.
Thanks for valid experience and genuine feedback.

First evs are throttle sensitive, it requires you to drive at a certain speed to get the maximum mileage,
The more the battery size is less you need to worry about being speed sensitive it will be and also throttle sensitive , for smaller cars you might need to maintain 75-80 these days left alone the highway approved speed of 100kmph, a Tiago take approx 1 hr from 10 to 80 percent in fast charging, so in case of long distance your travelling time will be determined by how your accelerate, and speed you maintain and the power train power also influences it
As for the question brila sir asked him if you drive below 120, can you get 500 mileage? For that he said it won't go more than 500 and for his driving he needs a 1000km mileage as the actual mileage is less than the claimed one.
Ideally he should have known this before buying the car for 60lakhs, as your mileage depends on the cars power and how you drive the more you push the less the mileage, you can fill fuel in few minutes but charging will always take time and the more number of times you charge and time taken for every charge will invariably going to influence your travel time
He should have know this before and this car is perfect for a 500 odd distance travel with a average speed of 90-110 if it gives atleast 400 mileage you can match the travelling time of a ice engine with just one charge maybe,
Problem now is for more mileage and more power you need to spend more as of now, a Tiago top end with max 315 mileage will cost you around 13 lakhs, in the same price you will get a elavate petrol 1.5
And the next issue the charging infra here, you need working infra all the time in highways and all the time working fast charger.
Sorry for the long rant
All EV users should install solar system in their house.
