I can't even fathom this guy's attitude.
I was literally homeless for 2 years. I didn't hate it. Every day was work though. Miles and miles of walking. Every step felt like a walk of shame. We all smoked pot. Some drank. We did it to help sleep or to not think about what's going on. My camp was next to train tracks. We had trains blazing through all hours and we needed sleep. We obtained coolers and made a safe fire. All put our busk money together and made a meal and ate together. Homeless communities are some of the best things I ever got to be a part of. I also appreciate a toilet and a shower now. Every time. I appreciate everything I have now. I still help the homeless and always want to
Thank you for sharing your story.I’m happy you’re in a more stable place now. I’m glad through your trials you were able to learn to practice gratitude. I think gratitude is something that doesn’t come naturally to us humans but it is a fucking virtue. I have never been homeless but housing unstable (trap houses) but I always had a roof over my head.I’ve had many homeless friends through my life and honestly some of the best and most giving people I’ve ever met. I think when we have less it makes us more empathetic to others, and I’m grateful for what I’ve gone through.
Many homeless people develop mast cell activation syndrome and truly need things like cannabis to control it. it sounds crazy if you google it but mild MCAS is freakishly common--that's actually what ptsd/cptsd is, a change to the innate immune system

So, about the charity thing, a lot of billionaires will dump large amounts of money into them because they can use it as a tax write off. Which isn't necessary a bad thing, until you realize the charities most of these people donate to are ones that they created. In my honest opinion, charities wouldn't need to exist if we had social safety nets, but alas, 'murica.
Not even large amounts, like 10s of thousands to 100 thousand is enough for them or they can just pull a trump and file for Bankruptcy all the time. Sure, it's large to normal but when you have 10000x of 100 thousand dollars, It really means nothing.

As a poor but homed alcoholic (living in a social democracy, my apartment is guaranteed) i despise people judging the american homeless for using their money on alcohol/drugs. If I'm stressed about money or anything, i want a drink. I can't even imagine the stress the american homeless live in constantly, and if they're struggling with addiction, thats how they will deal with the stress and anxiety, as i do. I'm extremely lucky and privileged to live here in finland, and if i was a billionaire i would spend my money making sure people would have homes and a chance at life, even if its just people i personally met. Idk im drunk (lmao) rambling. But still. Bobby is just...a billionaire's son
This!!! Whenever I hear someone condescendingly spouting, “I won’t give them cash, because they’ll just use it to buy drugs/alcohol” it makes my blood boil. Imagine living on the hard concrete, sleeping in the wind & rain, never feeling safe or secure. You’d want to numb that pain too.
@Trinity M absolutely. Here, the detox and rehab treatments are free of cost. In america they cost a fortune, especially to someone who doesnt even have money for food. The whole system in america is biting it's own ankles. The rich preach of bettering yourself without giving you the chance to, for how can you if ridding yourself of drugs on your own will kill you?
For real. I'd also like to add that homeless people deal with these feelings too. If drugs or alcohol will keep someone going for another day, why do you care what they spend their money on?
It was describing himself as a villain so gleefully for me. The sheer joy in his eyes to say it's his dream to not have to care about other people and be a necessary evil in people's lives. Horrific.
It's only cool to be an addict when you're rich. 🙄🙄🙄 also, the guilt I would have if I was rich and wasn't helping in a tangible way, would have me unable to function.
@@YouveBeenMegged I saw a Bentley airplane the other day and wanted to puke. Like the amount of food/housing/clothes etc you could get for ppl who need it. It's so weird to me how picky and stuck up ppl are about helping others. Like who cares what you've done or are doing?! As long as it's not something crazy, they're still people who need help. Even ppl who have a home but struggle like, they also need help. It's wild to me.
The thing about giving directly to people 'to see their reaction' tells me that what bobby likes is feeling good when he gives someone poor money because it makes him feel special, but the knowledge of giving to someone without seeing their gratitude would not please him.
I also saw this reason in his answer and it was so interesting to see the reaction of person on the left, they're like "yes, charities are not transparent ", the same Annamarie said. Those are diffrent reasons to not like charities!!! Bobby didn't meant what you mean, comerades!
The point about directly helping people as opposed to donating to charities would be a lot more salient if it wasn't immediately preceded by him refusing to tip the people who literally put food on his table
He meant he wants to see peasants' happy crying faces and hear how they thank him for being so good to them. He wasn't concerned about charities transparency or efficiency.
Yeah, as if he actually donates to people lol Besides, it's not even that good of a point to begin with. Yes, you definitely have to research which charities to donate to, and yes, there are admin costs etc involved that eat part of your donation, but your money still goes way further in a charity than it could ever go giving directly to people. The charity has already done outreach and research into who many need and what they need, and they have connections that enable them to purchase food/supplies for way less than you as an individual ever could. Giving a few bucks to someone in the neighbourhood who needs it is still better than not giving anything at all, but it's not really what I would consider a good long-term plan for donating. Like, how would you go about finding all the people in need in your immediate vicinity, just walk the streets until you find them? We've also established he doesn't actually think many homeless people are deserving of charity at all since they're addicted to one substance or the other, so it's not like he's doing that even if he does think giving directly is better. I'd very much like to know what he actually does and not just what he thinks he should do. Not to mention that if he finds charities sketchy/corrupt in general, then he has more than ample opportunity to make a change and start his own charity. But he won't, because he's clueless and doesn't actually give a shit about the transparency of charities, it's just a convenient excuse not to donate lol
To be clear: Booby here was not “born rich.” He was born to a single mom who raised him, but then he “found out” he had a wealthy dad and immediately went to live with him in the States. I’m guessing he describes Dad as distant because he barely knows the guy. I’m guessing Dad just gives him money and not much more. Which is sad, but he’s also clearly a waste of a human being right now.
The simple fact that he could even reach out to his rich dad and get money from him makes this comment barely true. His dad could have easily not done anything but he likely figured "I have a ton of money, what's the point of not making my son a millionaire?"
Her face when she asked if he could do better and he said "how?" Like I literally saw all possible sympathy die. That poor girl she legit lost all hope in humanity in that one second.
If I was rich I would just give $100 to every service worker I come into contact with. Had a bad day? Here have $100. Crappy service? Don't care. $100.
Nah that "most of us are closer to being homeless than to being billionaires" hit way too close to home, all I could do was laugh the depression away xD
I’ve briefly known a billionaires son. They never learn empathy or gratefulness. He was one of the most depressed and depraved people I’ve ever met. When you’re given everything and take so much, I believe you’re left with an empty void. I’d never want to feel that kind of emptiness and isolation
His attitude to homeless people boils my blood so much, my family was homeless when I was 14 for a few months after leaving an abusive household and the only reason we didn't end up on the streets was bcus one of my distant family members were kind enough to pay for us to stay in a hotel. It was miserable, we were all cramped together in one room, I had to walk much further to school while disabled and we couldn't afford proper food (and we had nowhere to store it) and we were all fresh from years of trauma. But we were so lucky that we didn't have to sleep on the streets. I've also had friends who've lived in hostels or almost been kicked out and just the mentality that people want to stay poor because it's easy??? Or that only the right kind of poor people deserve aid, it's disgusting. I don't blame the homeless people who give up on trying to find housing, because a system that is so deeply ashamed of their existence just tries to pretend like they don't exist and doesn't provide them any meaningful help. What are they supposed to do, how else would someone cope? These people are still people with feelings and lives.
Most of the homeless people I've met are either mentally ill and not getting the treatment they need, or they are young people who were either kicked out of their home or left an abusive situation they couldn't escape otherwise. Then, once they've been living on the street, the barriers to shifting to working and paying for daily necessities is almost impossible.
I think it's really telling that ALL his "shorts" and videos are about being a Billionaire's son and nothing else. He has no other identity besides being related to someone who's rich and showing off all the stuff he has, he's like every rich influencer I've seen on Instagram and Tiktok. Even if they have hobbies, they still make it about being rich and only doing it to show off and it just comes off as shallow. It was the same with the other billionaire son at the end, all he did was videos about showing off how rich he is. I can't imagine living like that, like... do you have any skills, sir? Can you paint, or play video games, play music?! DO YOU ACTUALLY HAVE ANY PERSONAL PASSIONS?!
Men who don’t care about a sexual partner’s personality and self scare me. “They just have to be hot” seems so shallow and empty. Not to mention the whole “I buy sex with my daddies money” is a huge gross sexual predatory turn off.
With the charity thing, I'd always recommend donating to your local hospitals, homeless shelters, etc. as well as places such as St. Jude. Also please donate your old clothes to your local thrift stores (not necessarily Goodwill, there's *tons* of local thrift stores in many areas across the US at least) and give back that way if you can't give money! It's always really nice to go with my mom to the local hospital's thrift drop off and give my old things away in boxes for another kid to love

Highly unlikely he will, the only way he or other billionaires will is if he loses every red cent he has to his name and can't go back to daddy's checkbook, if he's homeless or actually having to rebuild himself from the ground up then maybe, just maybe by time he dies, he'll see the truth.

Once upon a Time a little boy named Timmy went camping with his big brother. They stayed the night on there private island so of course Timmy knew what it was like to be homeless cuz it was sooooo similar
at 11:12 one thing i've heard a few times that offers a good perspective is like, when you have a really hard day what do you do when you get home? have a glass of wine? smoke a joint? indulge in something to relax? houseless people have to sleep on the streets and there is no break or foreseeable end to that, of course they're smoking weed, taking drugs, and drinking. that's exactly what everyone else does (to some extent). sometimes alcohol and weed are the only positive and reliable thing they have

I used to never tip at coffee shops/grab & go places because I didn't see the point in doing so. I would think, "it's just coffee/a latte/a cappuccino, etc." I work as a barista/cashier now. Since working as that, I have made it my mission to tip every barista I interact with. The stressful environment, customers barking orders at you when you give great customer service - I feel so bad for not seeing or appreciating their hard work before. I am a working-class woman, I do not have thousands of dollars in my bank account. But if I have enough to spend $6+ on a latte because I enjoy the pleasures in life, I certainly have enough to leave a good tip for the baristas that are making me a great coffee.
The $2000 allowance threw me off cuz that’s how much I’d make working full time for minimum wage where I’m from and I honestly thought it’d be way more than that but then I realized that’s probably just spending money, doesn’t include living expenses
What annoys me about billionaires is that they sell the idea of "working hard" but no one is working harder than the working class, how come the working class never gets anywhere? It's because they aren't getting paid enough to get anywhere, things are too expensive, & then to top it all off, they don't even have enough time to actually LIVE life, they have to work everyday otherwise they'll be homeless.
“i’m not made of money” while being the son of a billionaire is quite an ironic statement to make. literally sounds like a line from a south park episode or something and then to choose villain because they “generally just look out for themselves” AND consider himself a villain. he’s a walking parody

I ordered pizza, and tipped the guy $50. More than the pizza cost. I'm not rich by any means, but I don't have kids so I'm more comfortable than most my age. Doing that occasionally doesn't hurt me.
I'm glad you're in a safer space now ♥️
Generally speaking, the poorer a person is, the more likely they are to share what little they have.

@@SkeletinaScreama Exactly!
And he completely ignores how most charities are scams anyway. Which he is probably aware of since his father is a billionaire
Yeah, as if he actually donates to people lol
Besides, it's not even that good of a point to begin with.
The way that rich people equate ruthlessly exploiting the working class & the environment to “hard work” makes me sick

This is a weird take
The simple fact that he could even reach out to his rich dad and get money from him makes this comment barely true. His dad could have easily not done anything but he likely figured "I have a ton of money, what's the point of not making my son a millionaire?"

It makes me feel good knowing I've tipped more only getting $500 a week than Bobby has in his entire billionaire son life.
I was hoping to be surprised, but I was NOT expecting the surprising thing to be that he didn't even try to keep the quiet parts quiet.

As the daughter of a musician with a certain amount of fame (in a small country) and wealth growing up I can understand to a certain extent living on your parent’s shadow and the expectations people have. Not to the extent of being a billionaire and my father lost all of his wealth in my late teens because of mistakes and poor management. But yeah also when you loose it all (monetarywise) you understand how out of touch you were. I was educated on equality and lived a pretty humble life in a farm (humble to a certain extent obviously) and all but my spending habits once I couldn’t afford any of them drove me a bit crazy.
the bit about his allowance money just blew my mind like. my allowance money was the equivalent to 3 dollars a month. saving up to buy things i wanted as a kid was really hard, i got some more for chirstmas and birthdays sure, but the difference between my 3 dollars a month and his 2000 dollars a month is wild

I used to never tip at coffee shops/grab & go places because I didn't see the point in doing so. I would think, "it's just coffee/a latte/a cappuccino, etc."
I work as a barista/cashier now.

“i’m not made of money” while being the son of a billionaire is quite an ironic statement to make. literally sounds like a line from a south park episode or something
