Great content but unfortunately due to your screen proportions they come up very poorly even on S22+ used my other pc worked a treat once I could follow intrusions Thanks for useful content :)
If it doesn’t respond for a long time, see if it reacts better on a different usb port, also ensure that there is no anti virus or anything blocking write access. I have seen behaviour like this before. Although it is possible, that the stick is actually not properly working anymore and thus gets stuck but first i would recommend to try to format it then from a different computer
Would have been nicer if you zoomed in. Open CMD in admin diskpart list disk select Disk # clean convert gpt create partition primary Format from MyComputer/This PC
create partition primary gives me a menu of options (basic, dynamic, gpt, mbr), when I select one of those i get another menu of about 20 options. please advise.

Mine already had the gpt star against it but the clean and create partition commands worked. Now got full usb storage back. Thanks 👍🏽

Ty pal you just saved me a 8gb pen drive ! I needed to reboot win 10 to see the changes, before I did the same but using the windows partition app.
If clean doesn't work, try converting gpt first then cleaning!

I etched DBAN onto a USB using Balena. DBAN doesn't work and when I use the "clean" function, windows instantly bluescreens. WTF is Balena doing?

that's an easy problem, mine says it's read-only protected and it's stuck even when I delete the readonly attributes
To fix read-only you need to first run the following command in diskpart after you selected the disk (so before clean): attributes disk clear readonly

4. create partition primary

3. Clean etc ..
