Single mum here, who didn't want to pay for installation but eas worried. thank you so much!!!! Video really helped and super easy xx
I've only ever fitted an old school washer waaaay back when with my dad, so for a single woman moving into her own flat, this has been a great video. Dad would be proud. Thanks.
boooo
Thanks for giving me the confidence to buy a washing machine which didn't include an installation-upon-delivery option. If all goes to plan, you've saved me lots of money!
Thank you for giving me the confidence not wait for my husband and father in law any longer. Definitely not as complicated as I thought it would be and made easier by your clear instruction. My son's school uniform is now clean!!
This is briliant, just saved me a £70 installation charge. The poorly printed instruction sheet just added to my woes then I found this video and was able to install my new washing machine myself. Feeling pretty accomplished right now 😌😃 thank you!!!
I was just in the exact same situation as yourself….watched this video and was really glad I did 😊😊
I too mate ❤
Great video, no unnecessary waffling on , just clear to the point instructions.
Thank you
😂😂😂
Bro thank you so much, no cap you saved the day. My missus was telling me to sleep outside. I used two coins (I didn’t have a spanner/wrench) and all of my strength to open up the bolts. From there it was like taking candy from a baby🎉
Oh my god thank you so mum, single mum here and they was trying to charge me £100 plus VAT so I’ve gone without a machine for 4weeks 😢 & now I’ve done it 😁 thank you so much 🙏 us women really get taken the mickey out of with these things & our cars
Thank you sooooo much!!! We were just forced to move houses by our local council and now with this video we finally have our washer back!
Suffered for 8 hours, but then did it with your help. Thank you so much
Excellent. I'm glad I helped
Thank you!! Just moved into mine and my daughters new home, and my dad passing away when I was young and no family nearby this has been a god send!
I’m so scared to do a washing machine installation myself but this video has made me feel more confident that I might be able to do it!
Thank you. I have just moved into a flat and feeling quite overwhelmed with all the things I have to build and set up and this video really helped.
I've just bought a Candy which is similar to the Hoover in this video. That black square on top of the machine before you unpacked it is actually the base of the washing machine. You should have fitted it after removing the locking bolts. It is designed to reduce the noise of the machine.
Thank you sir. Just installed a washing machine on my own. I am so chuffed with myself 😁
40yo female with no prior experience. Those tools that my dad gave me years ago, came in handy. But I just just a standard keys.. small spanners. Don’t know what they are called.
Just run a short cycle and there are no leaks and it looks so be working just fine. 💪🏼💪🏼
Stewart, thank you so much. I’ve recently moved out of my family home, and I’ve just moved in to a rented apartment. They didn’t tell me that they didn’t have any white goods 😂😂 So I’ve just installed my first washing machine, and that’s thanks to you mate! You’ve got yourself a loyal subscriber and a like 👌
Excellent - well done! Glad I could help
I have had my clean water pipe on the wrong way round for 10 years. Thank you for this.
Good video. I'm an engineer but never fitted a washing machine. Straight forward video showing everything showing all operations
Helped my sister move into her house today. Neither of us had fitted a washing machine, this video got me through it. Really is simple, thanks so much for the video
Thank you for this, just moved into my first home and I hadn’t a clue. Saved £70. Thanks for simplifying it for people that don’t have a clue like me!
You’re a diamond 💎. My sister and I just removed our old machine and plumbed in the new one with ease after watching this. Thank you so much!
Nice one!
Excellent video, thank you. Concise, to the point, very helpful. One tip I will say is your music is a lot louder than your voice! I turned up the volume but the music became deafening when it cut in 😂
I had a Hoover Perfoma, and it was at least 25 years old. It started to make a lot of noise so I gave it to my friend for scrap. I have just bought this exact model as yours. I actually thought there was something wrong with it, as I couldn't believe how long the spin lasted until I watched your video. Thanks.
🤩 That’s a proper DIY! You’ve made it so easy, I now have the confidence to do it myself, that’s a £50 saved!
My washing machine is on its way to me, this video helped me a lot to understand how to do installing properly. Other videos on RUclips are just rubbish imo.
Thank you so much you giving me confidence I am expecting a new washing machine and going to install it myself 😊Hope everything will go ok and I will save £30. Much appreciated
Thanks Stewart Mathews 😅 very simple and straightforward 🎉
Thank you very much for this mate. Me and my partner first time house owners and there isn’t always someone on hand to help with these kinda things. This video very straight up and non-condescending presentation means I very much doubt this is the last one of yours I watch - thanks again!
Interesting tip worth knowing about washer/dryer combos: if you put too many clothes in the machine on the drying cycle which causes the heating element to trip, all you have to do is remove the top panel of the machine (normally a thin panel of wood) and look for a couple of square "push switches", press both, and this will reset the trip

Yoh, thanks you are such a life saver for the DIY simple instructions, I followed each an every step and it's now working perfectly. Thanks a million ⚔ times
You've made me an installation expert in 7 min. Now apart from installing computers, family members ask me to install their washing machine, as well. 😅
In any case, great video, man! Much appreciated! 👍 Another 50 quid saved! 😁
Thank you i'm getting one in 4 days praise God now i know how to fix it through your great Video God bless you greetings from Germany have a blessed day 😂
Glad it helped
@@ProperDIY yes a lot thank you blessed day 😊
Thank you! I've just finished setting it up, your step by step instructions made it less daunting.
Thank goodness I watched your video ! I plumbed our new washing machine in but hadn't removed the transportation bolts ! What would have happened if my wife had tried doing the washing, I shudder to think !
4:50 flipped us 3x times , thanks for guide :D
Googled this today and came across your channel, thanks, got a theme song and everything
Fascinating it's interesting to see the differences between a washing machine in the UK versus the US is. We still have hot and cold and centrally heated water where as it makes more sense to run electric and do on-demand heating in 240v countries. Transportation bolts that's a crazy idea. And you said you don't need to explain what that gray thing is but it doesn't make any sense to me the end is way to big to be a power cord (sarcasm joking) LOL.
Plastic hose for the water inlet. For the longest time we used rubber/plastic there seems to be a big push lately to use braided metal houses because somehow they don't leak. I've never had one leak and besides the metal mash is over a rubber plastic anyway. usually most of the damaged here's is the metal thread fittings that are made of cheap metal and rust out if not cared for.
And washing machine in the kitchen crazy. Usually in older homes they were in the basement or bathroom and sometimes closet. newer houses kind of do more of the laundry room.
And most of the big hardware stores here to free installation upon delivery unless it's terribly difficult to get it in your door.
When trying to slide the machine into a recess on a laminate or vinyl floor smear some washing up liquid near the feet and it slides in much easier. Sounds crazy but it works. One other thing to be careful of is the waste water in the sink is higher than the height of washing machine waste pipe. If you have a slow draining kitchen sink (or a partially blocked u-bend) there is a risk of the dishwater backing up into the waste pipe of the washing machine. Keep the waste hose as high as possible - I have mine hooked to the underside of the worktop
Good tips!
It will slide when you don't want it to if yo uoverdo the washing up liquid. Try sliding it on a carpet tile or scrap of hardboard - then tip th emachine to withdraw it.
I was like: oh 7 minutes are too many I just need the basics, but the video is quite clear and very interesting! Thank you for the help
Watched this video on two occasions now as I'll be installing one for my brother. You explain things that even a common man can do..
Thank you very much, Samsung's instructions on installing the drainage pipe connected to the sink was not clear at all.
I never would have guessed it would have to be sawed off and require a Jubilee clip - something else I'll now have to go buy but looks like it'll be ready to go very soon!
No problem
50€ saved, i live alone and finally got to buy a new washing machine! Thanks alot!
Brilliant mate. Way easier than the bloody manual i received with my new machine.
Glad it helped
Very very helpful mate. Great instruction. Subscribed!
thanks for proper lead and you saved few quids of many of this video viewers.
Thanks again mate.
Sure many viewers felt the same as like me. Appreciate you.
Cheers mate I hadn’t installed a washer for decades, and have a new one arriving later. Had a thought: I wonder if it’s still the same? Other than the new waste water fitting it is but the confidence boost from your straight forward style and thorough coverage really helped, ta mate.
Very good excellent very simply you explained it. Very useful tips Thanks
Thanks Stuart. Very helpful information. Peace and love
Thank you good sir. Really enjoyed the video. Now I'm feeling brave enough to try it myself.
Go for it!
Great video Stewart, very helpful to have detailed yet easy to follow instructions! I had been enquiring around and apparently I wouldn't have been able to find anyone willing to do it for less than £70. I did it in minutes with your advice. Subscribed! 👍🏻
Excellent well done. Once you know how it's not difficult- like most things - just need to be shown
Just a thought about moving appliances around a kitchen: the feet might damage a vinyl floor for example and I find a piece of hardboard shiny side down is great for sliding things around.
Thanks for the tip!
I use a thick towel.
I lube the floor with a thin layer of cooking oil, then wipe it dry afterwards. Soooo much easier.
Thank you , very helpful for single mother. Very Clear explanation .
A fantastic guide on how to install a washing machine!
Thank you sir! Cheers!
I was very impressed with your enthusiasm, I feel quite hyped to do my washing machine 💪
This video was so goood, I love the energy of it. very informative as well thank you. I feel like a 21th century DIY professional.
Thank you
Thanks, just trying to install one for my daughter. Why do they make the drumhholding bolts so tight? Small adjustable spanner was no good, had to get a socket set. Then major problem getting the washer combi off the polystyrene base, had to get my weight-lifter son to help. Then could not get the pipes and power cable through to the undersink cupboard. All this in a tiny kitchen. Will finish tomorrow, large glass of wine now.
God you made my life so easy, Thank you. Before watching you demonstrating how to install, I was struggling and lost.
Glad I could help
I was quoted £75 for this. Thanks to this video did it for free in few mins
Literally just bought the model you installed!!!!
Great idea about the hose clip, which luckily I had.
Excellent video, great concise information presented in a way that is approachable, understandable and professional 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
This really helped. Thanks
I know. How many of these videos have some idiot rambling on and on with unclear instructions and lenghty explanations, and at the end you feel frustrated. Some people can explain, others can't
Thank you so much for your tutorial! It was easy after I watched your video. Saved 75 pounds just before Christmas! Liked and subscribed 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I watch many of your videos out of curiosity... because I'm in Canada and things are quite a bit different here from there.
Like your washing machines. Compared to yours, ours are huge. The ones that are in our rental apartment, for instance, is a top-loader that can wash our biggest blanket without trouble... it's an oversized queen sized heavy fleece/mink style. We also have dryers to make our lives easier. I don't know about you, but hanging clothes on a line in -40C temperatures is not my idea of a good time.
By the way, I also really enjoy learning things from you. You have an excellent way of explaining things so that a novice can understand. Thank you for that.
Nicely done, straight forward and very well presented........thanks 👍
Fantastic video...will save many viewers at least £50...thank you Stuart !!
No problem
This is a great video. Leave his music alone people.
Thanks for the tutorial, I always like to have a go at fitting or mending something for my self 👍
No problem 👍
Thank you this was extremely helpful.😀
Good easy to follow demonstration. Choice of music needs modernising . Overall , score 10 / 10 .
Nice video. Interesting to see that it is normal in the UK to have the washing machine in the kitchen.
Installed the washing machine via this video. Many thanks.
Glad it helped
Great Work from Dublin Ireland 🙂🇮🇪🍀
Mate thanks so much! It was useful and easy! I installed it over the weekend and saved £50!! This video gave me confidence!
Glad it helped
Thank you so much! Just saved myself £50 😅
Thank you so so much your tutorial helped me a lot I've watched so many videos on RUclips to find a solution and help but I've not found any solutions and help etc but yours one which helps me a lot wow you a wonderful lovely man thank you so much and God bless you as always and every day 🙏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐♥️🙏🏽🙏🏽🤗🤗🤗
Clear and concise instructions...terrific. Thank you
Thanks for your video Sir. It really helped me
Thank you so much you have just saved me £115!
Thank so much, amazing explanation.
My cold water under sink does not have that fitting it is a screw on the pipe. ,unsure how to connect ,every video i watch shows with blue tap and a fitting ,so im totally confused ,trying to work mine out . Good ,quick and easy with the standard fitting video thou .
saw this video after my new washing machine kept dancing through the whole bathroom
Thanx for the video just connected my washing machine
Waou!! you are just amazing!!! I really like this video, it's fantastic. My only issue is how to choose the washing machine?
Thanks for the great video, very helpful. Would you recommend to use any rubber mat for vibration?
Great vid! quick question - my old washing machine has 2 water inputs and the new one im purchasing has one, can i just block the hot one off? Thanks!
Good and clearly explained
This saved us me and my fiancé £86 today. ❤️
Thank you for this video it was really helpful in setting up my washing machine
This is what I'm looking for, thanks 🎉
Thank u for this video it my first time plumbing in a washing machine
amazing video... really can do it ourselves
Great video, clearly explained. Just a question as I’m about to plumb my washing machine in. I have two sink outlets for the waste pipe to go, I’m guessing one is for a dishwasher as well. Does it matter what one it goes in and do I need to blank the other one off? Thanks
When fitting under the sink, don’t you have to make sure the machine waste pipe loops higher than the sink overflow to avoid sink waste water going into the machine?
Music is too loud, i have to reduce and increase volume again when u start talking.
Great video 👍
So simple and easy, you just save me £50 thank you
Fab. Now I can do it. Great video. Easy to understand. Job done 😊
Thanks so much! PS You're our dad now.
Thank you Stuart; lovely, clear and concise video. I had a reasonable idea what to do but your vid answered the questions I had nicely (PS ...also subscribed!).
Thank you my man first machine done and dusted
Well explained 👏🙂 thanks
Thank you so much! Very well explained and helpful
