I have got my Rally in April and since then took it around Italy including Sicily and Sardinia as well as Corse in France. Max. average fuel consumption was 5.7 ltr/100 km which I found to be very very good. All this thanks to the rear cylinder deactivation feature. Overall, this bike is a fantastic long distance tourer. As an owner of a 2024 Multistrada V4 Rally I would warn anyone against thinking of the as "Best bike". The chassis is great (really great). The engine is nice for agressive driving - not so for more relasex driving (as in adventure touring). After 1600km the engine sounds as if someone has poured gravel into it. It was ok from the beginning but has suffered from increasing noise from valves and/or timing chains. The Desmo Ducatis have always been noisy but the V4 has no desmo valves. You need earplugs when you drive this one. At 3500 rpm, the noise is so bad that you find yourself prepared to push the clutch in case of a seizure… Below 3000 rpm, the bike is practically un-driveable. Don’t bother to drive in slow traffic - even if you can bear the enormous amount of heat emitted from the engine. The quickshifter, that was supposed to be really smooth on these bikes, is really a hit and miss. It’s great when it works, but it rarely does. When the engine is warming up, it works ok. When warm…not so much. Less than 50% hit rare. But when it does work, it’s really smooth - at least the up-shifts. When it doesn’t, and you never know beforehand, the gears will bang in, leaving you wondering how much abuse the gearbox can take. The dealerships (at least in Sweden) leaves a lot to wish for. Any problem I had, the response was that "a Ducati should be like that". The service person in my case, seemed to believe that the V4s have desmo valves and blamed the noise on that. That doesn’t give you much confidense. I got zero help with any problem with the bike. Clearly the warranty isn’t worth anything. But they charge crazy amounts for mainrenance (4000 Euro for 1000 km oil change). Eventually I contacted Ducati support, as I got nowhere with the dealership. However, they showed little interest as well. This is the most expensive bike I have bought, but unfortunately also the worst bike experience. Don’t make the misrake I made, believing that this is a GSA-competitive. This is nowhere near the BMW experience. It has a better chassis than the Bmw, and is really fun on twisty roads. Before I got my Pan Am S I looked at the V4 Rally, too bad I didn't have dealer less than 100 miles away. I didn't look at fuel economy or capacity & I'm surprised at the numbers. 30L is 7.92 gallons. My Pan Am has 21L=5.6 gallons. I've been keeping track & I'm averaging 47mpg, 260mp tank. If the V4 R is getting 286, that's only around 36mpg. Can that be right, 11mpg less? I find it hard to believe (with the V4 passing Euro5) that it wouldn't be much higher. A 7.92 gallon tank would see me to 372 miles on my Pan Am, I would've guessed the same for the V4 R. I know it's a weird thing to glom onto but, it's a ADV touring bike, I expected way better mpg due to the "touring" part of the description.

Cylinder deactivation = problems. At least in cars it does. No thanks. Not willing to see how it does in a motorcycle. No mention of the heat that cooks one's legs? My 136hp R1250RT can send me straight to jail without passing go. On the street, low end and mid-range power and torque is where it's at. Of course, the GS and GS Adventure have the same engine. Part of why BMW continues to out sell Ducati and everyone else in the large adventure market by a large margin.

And Bmw, as from reports from USA and central Europe, dont cover engine failures repairs of brand new bikes under warranty. You should get informed better.
When I see this reviews about this bike, I can only imagine how it would feel, to the heart and pocket, when you drop it..and it only have two wheels 😂 it will for sure happens
Unlike the japs or the bmws cheap stuff this Ducati bike works perfectly and it has no engine failures, which is nothing but ridiculous & embarrassing for a new brand machine, even more when bmw scrams refuse to cover repairs under warranty AFTER 100/150 MILES RUN !! 🤨😁 Only your keyboard reports of troubles in Ducati bikes.
A _genuine_ penis enlargement operation would be less expensive (i guess 😁) and then still you would have money left to buy two different, great bikes to ride.
No bro, sorry but it's the opposite. The new Ktm1290 Ad R is a monster of power, hps the incredible torques, and that is the key : the austrian brand has put a powerful road bike into a off road machine,so this last can't hold the power of the first. When you insert 123 gears the bike makes impending that is not easy to control and handle, you really need to be very expertise to run this monster on off road tracks, a too much dangerous bike as result of an unproper mix.

What is it?? Bullet proof??? 😂😂😂😂You are kidding right?? Shaftdrive almost shit, and the gearbox the same! My best friend is BMW mechanic and he tells me everything! BMW owner don't say anything, it's a type of omerta! 😂😂😂Bulletproof... Good joke...
Service intervals are better on the Ducati and my 4 Yr unlimited mileage warranty makes me laugh a BMW owners 3 yrs 60,000 miles😅😂
And Bmw, as from reports from USA and central Europe, dont cover engine failures repairs of brand new bikes under warranty. You should get informed better.
No good for me; I'm only a 30" leg. Can't touch the floor.
When I see this reviews about this bike, I can only imagine how it would feel, to the heart and pocket, when you drop it..and it only have two wheels 😂 it will for sure happens
Yes perfect...when it works. Brand new bike, with already many troubles
Consuming too much oil😅
You will need a fuel tanker to accompany you on your Touring on this bike..😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
It has everything to be a world class bike but it is just just not for Off Roading journeys. The mighty KTM 1290 Adventure R fits the bill.
My BMW with the 1200 and Akrapovic has a much better sound than that!
The same ugly selfmade sidebags as BMW. Bathroom closet from the brand ' Allibert ' from the senventies. Such a shame, Ducati can do better.
"Rally" huh?
They seriously put whatever they want in motorcycle names these days💀
The best dirt this thing can do is my garden.
I bet this thing does more in capable hands than you may think. Still, I'd only drive it in your garden too.
"Rally" doesn't just mean offroad
@@theunheardprophet4315 I mean with that logic, the capability of the tool is limitless. I can remember that time when I saw clip of a guy climbing rocks with his R6.
Still, the badge should imply it allow people to do the thing it claims comfortably.
I may never be able to throw the Tenere as wildly as Pol Tares, but if I want, the bike still helps me through rough terrain with ease
@@Shinnnn7 but if I can't ride dirt on this as well as "Rally" from Triumph, it's a failure.
Owned the normal V4S w radar for about 7 months, hated it... Over priced, Over powered, Overly tall, and too damn heavy. Also, to me this bike lacked character.
