    As a V4 Rally owner, I am not sure who the target audience is for this version. less fuel, no cylinder shut off, and no engine guard. I am glad I swapped to the Rally from the Pikes Peak. Perfect for my use cases.

    Ride V4s fantastic bike when it came out, recently tried the Rallye, but on moorland roads through tight roads, bog down at low speeds with the bike dropping onto 2cylinders , not good in lanes having to rev it harder to keep it in 4 cylinder, was on dartmoor in tight wet slippery lanes though 😊

    Great bike. Only negative is the engine heat that I felt on the bike I testet in my 200 kilometres on the V4s that I tested. Outside temp. was 25 c. Also fuel consumption is way higher then other adventure bikes.

    I think this gets a 7.5/10 causes of the standard fuel tank. It is basically a V4s, (i'd give that a 8.5/10) with touring pack and new stickers. Make the slow speeds two cylinder with large fuel tank set and this one gets a nine/10.

      To think when i was into buying a brand new bike 3 years ago, Ducati dealership refused to give me a multistrada because i did not have full on leather gear with me, just leather jacker, jeans and regular leather boots.
      Left a sour taste in my mouth, then i said ok and went to book a test ride for an Africa Twin, the guys gave it to me immediately when i showed up as it was available then and there.
      And the rest was history, been happily every after with my 1100 Africa Twin ever since.

    I test road the V4S a year after buying what I thought was already an over priced GS1250 with full spec. The Ducati is an awesome bike & step up but I think the fuel consumption along with companies desire to remain a premium product unfortunately outprices everything else & us the consumer. I'd love one of these bikes, Im off to buy a lottery ticket!

    It seems to be a parts bin compromise. I tried a V4s and loved it but was horrified at the fuel consumption in the 30 MPG range if it was used energetically. Filling up every 130 miles on a Grand Tourer just didn't do it for me. This version misses the opportunity of a bigger tank and having the rear cylinders switch off in traffic, which is a shame.

    • @damansidhu77
      @damansidhu77 9 месяцев назад

      Just sharing as a V4S Sport owner, the typical mileage I get is between 160 to 170 miles before I need a fill up. It's definitely not 130 miles.

  • @thor8640
    @thor8640 9 месяцев назад

    I expected wider side panniers and top case standard, like the 1200 Gran Turismo had. I had the electronic fuel cap installed on my 2021 V4S, it failed after 8 month and would not close. Got a replacement that I never installed but rather keep the keyed cap. A larger fuel tank is not really necessary as I have about 250 km range, I do think Ducati could have done better with this Grand Tour - this "big" announcement feels like a bit of a waste.

    I want a larger tank, better protection, and the 17 inch wheels of the pikes peak. This would be a taller, more relaxed riding tourer. A driveshaft would also be excellent, but probably a tall order for Ducati.

  • @damansidhu77
    @damansidhu77 9 месяцев назад

    It's literally the same bike as the 3 year old Multi V4S with fog lights and new paint job. If they have put the larger tank in, it would make the Rally obsolete. I love my 21 V4S Sport with full Akra, don't see any need to change.
