      Yo tengo la pikes pead, tuve la v4s y he probado durante todo un día la rally, a mi pikes pead le puse unas alzas de manillar de 2 centímetros ya que me resultaba una postura un poco agresiva y ha ganado en comodidad muchísimo sin verse mermada la capacidad de manejo. Pues bien con esa modificación en el manillar la pikes pead es mi favorita de los tres modelos, la agilidad, la manejabilidad y su conducción en general esta por encima se los otros dos modelos. Aunque hay que hilar muy fino para ver diferencias sustanciales entre la tres. Son unas maquinas perfectas en todos los sentidos. He tenido 40 motos de todo tipo y no cambiaria la multistrada v4 por ninguna, es LA MOTO

    Ive just ordered one, currently on a gen 1 xr1000 with 840 seat, these are 870 and i got use to demo very quickly especially using the drop suspension setting, getting back on the xr after demo , actually felt very similar even though seat is bit lower plus lighter, have a good day everyone, great video 😊

    I don't ride offroad but I can't understand why anyone who actually goes offroad would buy a bike with a chain drive. It makes no sense to me. If you're getting a bike that's going to get muddy and dusty all the time, why would you want to mess around with a chain? Triumph put a shaft drive on the 1200 Tiger and I think that was a killer move in terms of actually holding a candle to the GS offroad. I know this bike is very capable offroad, but I'm talking real world use and not press reviews and corporate b-roll where maintenance doesn't exist. Great review as always.

    • @zemanbuck
      @zemanbuck Год назад +4

      Every single dirt bike on the market has a chain, you just need to clean it once in a while.

    • @chorseundgrd
      @chorseundgrd Год назад +2

      @@zemanbuck Fair point but dirt pikes also are not $30K. Dirt bikes are built to a price point. A Multistrada is not even remotely an affordable bike and I agree is not really the best bike for offloading anyway. The true use case for this bike, much like the GS, is long touring in mixed conditions. Both the Tiger and GS have maintenance free shaft drives. It's not absurd to think a $30K touring bike should give you one less thing to worry about, especially since the competition does just that.

    • @zemanbuck

      I own an older GS, 2004 R1150GS that’s a gem with only 22K miles on it. I bought it new in ‘04. I’ve ridden it in some dirt roads, etc… nothing too hard core. I’ve aLos ridden Honda XR’s in the woods for 40 years. In ‘14 I bought a KTM500EXC and it was at that point I realized the GS would never go off road ever again. I out road tires on the GS. The KTM can do a 70 mph wheelie where the GS is hard to just ride at 25 mph. I laugh when I read about “off road” on big adventure bikes, kind of like off roading in a $150K Range Rover. You can, but let’s be real.

      Forget the offroad part...just having a shaft drive is so much better than a chain. I had GS's for 15 years, but in 2020 I got the Multistrada 1260 Enduro first before swapping it out for the V4S 6 months ago. I love the V4S...but would rather have the larger tank, upgraded suspension and few other amenities the Rally has. However...my next bike will probably be the next gen of the BMW GSA because it has a shaft drive.

    Currently have over 12000 miles on the V4S and love it more than the kids (lol), the Rally probably suites my needs more as a 2up tourer but I would love the Pikes Peak...if only I could afford one of each...Great review as always Rembo.

    1- sometimes I feel that 6 gearshift are not enough. On the highway frequently on feel that I need a 7 gear
    2- it’s so expensive bike and amazing that the bike doesn’t have androi auto or Apple car play.

    This year bought my DM. I had to decide between the v4s or the Rally. I decided for the Multistrada V4S because of the weight. The Rally was offered with regular Cases but with the aluminum Cases it’s more heavy and you have to keep the metal harness on it it looks ugly. Been on a tour in France and the decision was right. It was fun the gas mileage not a problem. No cases on it left them in the hotel. But with cases even the plastic ones fun but less and more weight. Full loaded wet Rally with Aluminum Cases you going to have around 300 kg thats heavy. I was moving back and forth tossing and turning in bed at night which one I should choose and I made the right decision. Multistrada V4S Full all in all good and not 300 kg on travel time. If I had decided for the Rally the Case Setup would have been the plastic ones I want to see the beauty not the ugly Metal Harness.

      @RemboUSMC  10 месяцев назад +2

      Road -wise, BMW and KTM don't compare to Ducate. Off road, however, I think they may have the edge. I had a bad experience with KTM NA with a warranty issue on my personal KTM that I still own, therefore I am not keen on them an unless something changes, won't be buying another KTM anytime soon.

    • @jeffbarner2331
      @jeffbarner2331 10 месяцев назад

      Understood, nothing will sour you on a company faster then a warranty dispute especially after the money we spend on top of the line adventure bikes. But it's hard to ignore the other reviewers including some of the professional motorcycle journalists who all found the BMW GS Adventure the best for long days on the highway touring. But I respect your opinion I've only owned the GS Adventure looking to purchase my first Ducati Multi Rally.@@RemboUSMC

  • @strandkaufhaus
    @strandkaufhaus 5 месяцев назад +1

    That's perfect. I'm trying to decide between those two models. What most of the comments here don't cover are the motor improvements of the rally. There is, afaik, more than just a cylinder deactivation during the ride. Ducati changed a few things in the engine so the mentioned mileage is ticked.
    I by myself come from Panigale 1299s, V4s, Streetfighter V4s, Aprilia RSV4, etc. But I'd like to take my wife with me. 95% street. 5% gravel. Since I like the PP more when I look at it, the question is: Is it capable to ride some of those roads? Or maybe a little beach driving (in Denmark it is allowed to drive onto the beach)?

    Super expensive for what it is. Plus Ducati hides the Freight from the total MSRP so add another $800. And on top, Ducati Dealers shamelessly charge $500 for Set up. Once you put all that together, it is a $35,000 bike with Processing Fee, Tax and Tags. I wish this bike was 10 Speed so it would not have the terrible gas mileage. Totally unnecessary high RPM engine. Super buzzy and ridiculously hot. On top, not as smooth as the Boxers. I’d take the proven Boxer Engine GSA in this category all day.
