How America Lies About CHINA. My Life In China SHOCKED ME!
Join Alex from Reporterfy Media on an unprecedented journey that challenges the narratives often presented by American media about China. Disillusioned with his life in Canada, Alex made a life-altering decision to move to China, seeking a fresh perspective and a new beginning. This documentary video is not just a travelogue; it's a deep dive into the heart of China, with a specific focus on the vibrant city of Chongqing.
Through his lens, Alex embarks on a mission to document the real China, away from the biases and misconceptions widely spread by mainstream media. This video is a homage to the city of Chongqing, showcasing its breathtaking landscapes, bustling streets, and the warmth of its people. Alex's journey is also a tribute to legacy photographers like Bruce Connelly, who first captured the essence of China and Chongqing over 30 years ago. Their work has inspired generations, and Alex respectfully follows in their footsteps, capturing the evolution of this magnificent city.
As you watch, you'll see through Alex's eyes the beauty, complexity, and dynamism of Chongqing and China at large. This documentary offers a unique, on-the-ground perspective that paints a picture of China that many in the West have never seen. From the towering skyscrapers to the serene riversides, Alex's journey is a testament to the power of media in shaping our understanding of the world.
This video is for anyone who seeks to look beyond headlines and stereotypes. Whether you're a travel enthusiast, a photography aficionado, or simply curious about life in China, you'll find this documentary an enlightening and inspiring experience. Join us as we explore the true essence of China, through the eyes of someone who dared to challenge the status quo and discover the beauty of this country for himself.

Maybe because New York is putting migrants in luxury apartments... But on the real the same way Americans are migrating to Europe and Asia for a better quality of life is the same reason others migrate to the US (with the exception of war), if people can't make it work in their own country some will try a new one it's not rocket science

Chinese 🇨🇳 property sector, which accounts for 30% of GDP, is crashing.
      - Exports and imports, accounting for 37% GDP, are down.
      - Foreign investment is falling over 90% compared to its peak in 2018.
      - Foreign visitors are down 96% compared to the pre-pandemic level in 2019.
      - Consumer prices are experiencing deflation for 4 months
      - Youth unemployment hits over 21%, a record. Most people think youth unemployment is really near 50%
      - Its fast-shrinking workforce is 10 years older than neighboring countries.
Still, China keeps reporting outrageous GDP numbers. Lol

The modern cities in China are the reality of pictures of modern or futuristic cities shown in Hollywood movies. Those Chinese cities make the American cities look like places from third world countries now. Every time I go to the international airports in Los Angeles or in some other major cities in the U.S., I feel frustrated, angry and ashamed because those airports are so dated, inconvenient, congested and unsafe in a most advanced and powerful country in the world.

Furthermore, letting illegals in allows the politician to funnel tax payer's money into leasing all those empty hotel, to benefit their rich landlord friends who once had empty hotels but now some are charging the city $230/day per room. (I got this info from RUclips channel: Cash Jordan). Last but not least, the US military is having a hard time recruiting people for the military... having these immigrants = pool of more willing candidates - e.g. come back from w ar and earn your citizenship and/or subsidized housing.

Nice work Alex. Of course, there are always drawbacks to expansion and 'development'; however, China has drawn in a substantial amount of money and it SHOWS. Transportation is key; mobility and affordability - America just has millions of cars, a Semi-truck union more powerful than the government (among other BM (big money) interest (gun) interests, and over-priced gasoline. In China, I can travel on any bus or subway for 17 cents. (it's actually free for me because I am 60). A beautiful thing.

No one denies the economic transition that China has undergone. The stories presented in this video are nice to hear.
These stories unfortunately do not fix the fundamental structural issues that plague China.
China has abandoned the quasi-capitalistic policies, which were pioneered by entrepreneurial rural peasants who ignored CCP edicts that looked to strangle the market economies they had created locally. Begrudgingly, Deng Xiaoping accepted these economic changes and eventually hijacked them which led to the slogan, "Capitalism with Chinese Characteristics" that has been used for domestic and international consumption. Now, however, the CCP has adopted a complete totalitarian, centrally planned, top down system.
The growth that China experienced, which has all but reversed, was impressive but is not in any way fundamentally different then any other nation moving from Low-Income to Middle Income status. China is now stuck in what is called the middle income trap due to a lack of domestic innovation and domestic advance technologies, which makes it impossible to get to high income status which is the hardest economic transition to make. The draconian government and its horrible domestic polices are to blame.
Half the water in China is poisoned due to industrial and mining waste being improperly disposed of. The soil is not any better. Given this, their interest in claiming the South China Sea as their own is not only to create a territorial buffer, but to have access to primarily the fish and secondarily the mineral deposits. They do not have enough water domestically in general for the size of the country given most of it is dry terrain/desert.
Their real estate collapse makes the one in the US in 2007 look like a joke as it is one of their biggest domestic investment sectors.
The Wealth Management Product (WMP) Ponzi scheme has been unraveling for years.
Their reserve positions have been steadily declining as they bail out businesses and industries and attempt to stabilize the stock market.
They do not have a technological advantage given most of what they have was stolen from the West and Russia. The means in which to steal have been cut off making further theft less likely. Many point to those high speed trains as successes of Chinese innovation. Firstly, high speed rail is not financially viable to begin with and secondly the Chinese system is based on technology that was leased or stolen from Germany and France.
They are behind in chip manufacturing as well as in other import tech sectors. This is in part why Taiwan is so strategically important to them. TSC however is building fabrication plants in the US as a counter to Chinese acquisition of the island, but US labor unions and other red tape may scuttle these projects. If China ever invades Taiwan, TSC will be destroyed.
Post-2020, manufacturing has been leaving the country and the exodus is picking up. Also, most of the manufacturing jobs in China are assembly jobs where parts that are manufactured in other countries are sent there to be put together. The iPhone is one of the best examples of this as there is very little value added by China for that product.
Their education system does not prioritize critical or independent thinking, but instead prioritizes memorization. Chinese citizens themselves have expressed frustration with this wishing the education system incorporated a more American or Western approach which allowed for more independent free thinking. 600 to 800 million people in China, mainly in rural areas are illiterate, at best.
The Chinese debt to GDP ratio is likely over 300% as a result of trillions of dollars of misguided, make-work, nonproductive infrastructure malinvestment. The ghost cities are the best example of this. For reference, a debt to GDP ratio over 90% creates a situation where more debt equals less growth.
The demographic decline China will experience is irreversible and catastrophic. The national birth rate is well below replacement, with the rate likely being somewhere around 1 or lower. The loss of hundreds of millions of people is something they, nor any country could overcome. Combined this with the aging of its population this will lead to high levels of inflation domestically do to a plummet in manufacturing and productive capacity. It very well could be the biggest economic collapse in world history. All of this will be exacerbated by any global economic slowdown or contraction. Both of which have likely been in play for more than a year or so now.
Chinese leaders know all this and are desperate to perpetuate the Ponzi scheme that is China through various projects around the world where they ship in their own labor force at the expense of the local population while destroying the local environment in the process. Kenya is a good example of this.
For more on the contemporary condition of China read the research Hal Brands and Michael Beckley, and the analysis of Jim Rickards. If you want a financial and market break down, see Kyle Bass.
China, which has found itself again at the peak of centralization, is yet another classic example of why central planning does not work and will never work. Physics does not allow for it. Complexity theory explains why. China is not an example the world should follow or emulate in any way.
What will Chinese leaders do as the collapse accelerates? Likely nothing. China's collapse will damage the US, acting as s force multiplier.
The question is; What does the the average Chinese citizen do in response to this? CCP legitimacy is contingent upon keeping the population employed, fed and happy. If things continue this way, look for massive social unrest and upheaval in China in the coming years and decades as things continue to erode and the country slides into a period of regional decentralization. Chinese history shows us this is the likely next phase.

China is certainly not short of visions and ambitions. America is not short of them either, but a very different ones though. China is more into economy, while America is more into extending its influence globally, via military means.
Take the EV for example, China can make them faster, better in some case, and most importantly cheaper. But why? Because of its visions and ambitions to be the best in economically. China identified the most essential component of an EV is its batteries. So it reached into Indonesia for one of batteries most essential ingredients...Nickel. China now mines and processes Nickel. Now let's look at Australia, Indonesia's close neighbour. It has an abundance of raw materials, Nickel being one of them. But recently, many Nickel mines and processing plants are closed, or being being closed. Why? Nickel prices have crashed by as much as 40% in the last two years. But why such rapid price reduction? Because China has cornered the Nickel market. It can produce it much cheaper than the rest of them.
But why China can do this, while other nations failed? Remember what I said at the beginning? Visions and ambitions. China foreseen the market just like the Solar panel market. And what can America and the west do about this? Don't you worry about that. They already have a host of solutions to counter China economic and manufacturing rise. And what are the measures?
(1). Tariffs. Yes, impose massive tariffs to make Chinese good more expensive.
(2). Propaganda. Remember what they said about slave labour in Xinjiang to work in solar related jobs?
(3). Tell everyone that Chinese EV don't last.
