The US and European car industry is really in trouble regardless of the protection measures taken by the respective governments. Notice quite a lot of Chinese are capable of speaking reasonable English. I bet in a motor show in the US or Europe very few of the sales people could speak mandarin

Love that 7 seat SUV for $47,000. There is no way America or any country can stop these electric cars from selling. There is no way any country in the west can make these cars for these prices.

Just looking at that Angler boat quality and price, it's no wonder Yellen concedes decoupling has zero chance of success.
In the US, the Yamaha outboard engine alone, and I mean, *ONE YAMAHA OUTBOARD ENGINE* could cost you anywhere from 25000 dollars to over 54000 dollars, depending on the HP
Now, this Chinese electric boat is 11,600 dollars. Adding a set of electric outboard motor, 5000 dollars, altogether around 16600 dollars
The entire configuration is actually *_cheaper_* than one Yamaha outboard motor !
Cost of angler boat + electric motor = 16600 dollars
Cost of *ONE* Yamaha outboard motor, from 25000 dollars to over 54000 dollars

The US lost already the trade war against China. The future is electric and not Oversize cars how nobody actually needs. The car manufacturers have simply forgotten what the future is. Chinese cars not cheap, but so you see how overprized the cars in the US. The same is also in Germany. Today you can buy german quality cars made in china. German and US cars stopped to produce small cars, but the Asian Carmakers saw that the people wanna small cars special in the city for affordable price. BYD is thinking already to build a car factory in Mexico. They have already one in Brasil and for the european Market BYD will produce from 2025 in Hungary. The real loser is the US and the EU

The U.S. never really built small cars. Believe me. I saw it in the 1970s when Japan cleaned Detroit’s clock out with affordable economy cars with high gas mileage right around the Arab oil embargo. What Detroit did have, the Chevy Vega and the Ford Pinto, either broke down constantly or blew up in a rear ended collision respectively. Now the Chinese are doing it. As an American, I have NO RESPECT for American made vehicles.

They're not as cheap as you think. The prices quoted are either ex factory or FOB. To import and sell a dealer would need to triple that price minimum. You have shipping costs, possibly tariffs, port/landing costs and transport to selling location. Those alone will triple your factory price before you can make a buck
Given the selling prices mentioned in the video one can only imagine the profit margins the West is raking in reselling the products 🤔😳

this is what we normal ppl need in the west, here in canada a new EV would cost you from 50k to 150k, I was looking at a mid to full size suv it would cost anywhere from 60k-100k with 8% APR, like wtf seriously!

Actually Consumers around the world benefit. From the saving, they can spend more on other home grown products. If the Chinese govt going to subsidized so consumers around the world can get the cheap product. Why not. Protecting own auto companies by raising tariffs is call Protectionism and money from tariffs will channel to fund wars in other countries. So instead of Own voters benefiting. Australia's Janus electric is better. Convert existing vehicles, slow charging, battery swap. We all know how fragile Tesla cars are. A little bump, and the whole car is considered a write off. Tesla just don't have a reputation for making robust vehicles, like an articulated lorry needs to be.
