sooo much better than the last audi designs were they just slap on plastic pieces and doing ridges all over the body to make it look more muscular and modern - yet in my eyes making it very busy and overloaded. mazda just works with lines and it looks sooo much cleaner and elegant.
Finally!!! It looks amazing!! Another car makers should learn from Mazda how to make beautiful and reliable car!!! Thank you guys for this review 😀👍

Thomas, loved the overview as always. Just a small thing - for the 2018 Mazda 6 they introduced the 2.5L turbo from the CX-9 with 250hp and a lot more torque. So it would be awesome if you could drive that in a full review soon and also let us 2017 owners know if the build quality of the interior and exterior is better now (hollow sounding doors and other outside parts, etc.). We found out that they have been using really thin metal sheets, which is compromising safety for me

I think it will be, yes. I am waiting on confirmation from my local Mazda dealer on this
More and more people like this new engine. They even want it in the CX-5. As the new turbo era is here, people like the torque of the turbo. Mazda proved that the downsizing is doing nothing to the fuel consumption on real world driving. Know they just have to beat them at the turbo engine as well. Looking forward to seeing the driving review. Be strong, as this motor show is really good and big, with a lot of interesting cars to review.
Todor Todorov Mazda 6 needs to compete with Accord Turbo. That's probably why they will use the engine from CX-9. And I think it's a good idea!
agreed. I would really like to drive the new motor with the turbo.. I am just afraid that I will like it so much, that I might trade in my 2017 for the 2018 one LOL

Good lord it's beautiful. I'm especially loving the wagon which we don't get in the U.S. :'(
Love the new grille treatment (MB AMG like?), also like the more pinched nose with sweep up into the head light structure. Subtle rear haunches very nice also, but the rear lip of trunk could use a spoiler lip. Also, like the new dashboard treatment. That car is gorgeous, but sadly again lacking sufficient power.
In US market, Mazda offers a Skyactiv 2.5L turbo with 227 hp and 420 Nm in Mazda 6 and Cx-9. I think it's punchy enough for the daily driver, especially a lighter vehicle like 6 in comparing with Cx-9. This car is not designed for race track but traditionally, Mazda has good reputation in term of making fun car to drive ;).
I have the turbo engine one and its not lacking power. Its too much fun to drive.
Wish they would bring that wagon to Canada with man trans in the top trims, not just in base models like most auto companies do.

TheMichaelRN meh, in Europe Mazda isn't cheap, it's around 20% or 30% less then Audi or Mercedes...
Here in Poland it's about 50$ cheaper if you're going for the same setup of features. There are even ridiculous situations when you get line assist and active cruise control on a Mazda 2, but you struggle to find an Audi with them because they belong to a tier that isn't available at the moment anywhere near.

I LOVE both, just wished the Estate didn't have the rails on top of the car. To me it would be even more beautiful like the hatchback on the Mazda 3!

I really enjoy the Sedan. It's good looking, good price and Mazda has made itself a good reputation with the new Skyactive G engines. Very nice presentation and walkaround coming from Clark Kent, hahaa. Gruss dich!

Guys, tell us more about practicality please! It is not only about design and space. E.g. Sunshades at rear doors? Pockets in the doors usefull? Seats inclined?

I don't see that many changes except the grill and front head lights. But that/s no big deal because it was already a great great car. Best in his Class.

Nice to see a comprehensive walkaround the car. I think that Mazda has the best design in its class and class above it. I'm not liking how fat the new Mercedes and BMW have become.
It's funny how it's easier to compare new Audis and Mercedes to the likes of Kia and Hyundai, which were always seen as cheap asian vehicles.

I just purchased the Signature and I find that for the money I spent it should oh came with tinted windows, a remote starter and AWD.

No competition to great passat B8. Maybe after 5th facelift... but we will be buying passat b10 by then which will be even more ahead of this mazda’s crap.
Does everyone realize that this is the second facelift of the Mazda 6. Yes this car is in its 3rd life cycle. Also, there are a couple design features that I don’t like so much. I don’t like the curve over the front fenders, it emphasizes the front wheel drive and that’s just not a good proportion. Also the shoulder looks new to the rear seems tilted up as it heads to the rear, which makes the car rear end seems to punt to the air while the front points down. Most importantly though that curve over the front fender is just ugly. Rwd proportions are always sexier.

Not for Europe. Mazda hasn't entry 1.0 three cylinders, no electric cars, so 2.5T falls on the altar of CO2 fetish.
