    Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Brian May, and Jimmy Page: a surreal gathering of pure genius. Guitar greats? Yes, but so much more.

      Even Prince Andrew? Bunch of weirdo paedos and spongers. They aren't even British, they're a German family who changed their German family name from Saxe-Coburg-Gotha in 1917 to "Windsor", a made-up name to market them as being English when they're not.

      @@AD-kv9kj our Royals have never been English. Their lineage has either been French (from William the Conqueror through Henry II and the Plantagenets), Welsh (from Henry VII and the rest of the Tudors), Scottish (from James I and the Stuarts), German (from George I onwards). The reason for so many nationalities having a 'right' to the throne is because every monarch up to our Queen's grandfather (George V) married from a royal family outside of the UK for alliance reasons - but he was born 3rd in line so wasn't expected to be a King. Even Henry VIII's first and 4th wives were foreign princesses. However many monarchs were born in England despite having 'foreign lineage'. And every one of our modern royals has worked harder than you ever will.

    • @JanetWilliams01
      @JanetWilliams01 5 лет назад

      As an American who now has dual British citizenship, I can say the "proper" pronunciation of the word when speaking to the Queen is actually the American pronunciation: "Ma'am." The use of the pronunciation "mum" is for one's mother, or another British mother. (In other words, you don't say "mum" to the Queen of England.) May's pronunciation in this video is pretty close to correct.

      Haha maybe, but this would betray a rather low general culture about her own country :P I mean, i'm not even english (though HM's "subjec" lolol) and have happened to brush along notions of who is Clapton. One may say "oh but she is more into military ceremonies etc", " but then i've brushed pipe music for military cermonies, etc, she should do better than me, comon Elisabeth, make an effort!!!

    2:30 - So the Queen is in actual fact entirely out of touch with society, culture and even with the ultra famous rock stars she had performing at that publicity stunt concert... They don't really care, they don't even try and all this kind of publicity is nothing but a charade to try and con the majority of the British people into liking the now utterly archaic, wasteful and corrupt Monarchy. And no, before anyone tries to parrot the usual nonsense they've been told to think - the Monarchy would bring in far more money from tourism if it was no longer active, as in France, which is proof that a long disbanded monarchy still attracts enormous tourism (far more than britain's live monarchy does..). For one example, Buckingham Palace would be an enormous museum, open to visitors all year round and would rake in a fortune for the British economy.
    I love Brian, he's a very kind gentleman, and I have nothing at all against the Queen as a person, but this monarchy business now is an absolute joke.

    • @paddyzammit6588
      @paddyzammit6588 6 лет назад +6

      Austin Dyer why would you expect a person of her age to know anything about these rock stars

    • @AD-kv9kj
      @AD-kv9kj 4 года назад +4

      @@paddyzammit6588 Because she's supposed to be the Queen, not any old pensioner... Because she's supposed to be giving honours to these people for their work... It isn't like she even bothers to just find out who it is she's meeting beforehand, like any good boss or other person in authority does if only to be polite. If she in fact knows nothing about anything, is utterly ignorant of her own society and clearly doesn't give a toss, then she shouldn't be in such a vast position of power and wealth - wealth which is scrounged from the people of Britain who work for a living. And no, sitting around in castles, mansions and enormous yachts paid for by the tax-payer and occasionally being dragged to shake hands with people you don't even know a thing about is not a job. Nor are they even British, their real family name is Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, which they changed in 1917 to "Windsor", a made-up name to market them as being English when they're not.
      The whole show is a complete scam and people are just ignorant, thick and desperate for some made-up idols to worship to make-believe that it somehow gives them and their country more importance and identity, when it doesn't. They are utterly and profoundly archaic, sponging off society and shouldn't be there any more. And no, tourism wouldn't drop in the slightest if the monarchy were disbanded, it would in fact massively increase because the palace and other places would become fully open to visitors as museums and parks.
