I want to thank you for trying rf2. It's the red headed step child of sim racing. I think that with ams2 newest update, it has moved it up a notch for me.
There's an aggression slider and a strength slider for AI. It can take a while to get them dialled in and change depending on combo's, however over time they learn how you drive and adjust themselves to suit. Online (Race Control) is where it's at with rf2.
I have them all and always go back to RF2. AMS2 & AC are better visually but the driving dynamics of RF2 are leagues ahead. I am obsessed with this game. If you're thinking about RF1 then maybe you should try AMS1. Before I got into RF2, I played a ton of hrs and have almost 800GB of content. It's better visually than RF1 and the original content is great. Also, you can convert any RF1 car/ track to AMS1.
Enjoy all your videos, great to see you trying all these different games. With Forza maybe if they separate the game pass players from the rest in lobby’s? Keep up the good work.
That’s one of the issues I think they have. Christmas just passed so a lot of new players are jumping on in game pass that think it’s like Forza horizon
I haven’t heard much about Rfactor 2 glad you played seems like something I would like. It’s just so many good sims out I need to focus on one or two. lol good race 🎉
It looks pretty good so far just down loaded it just because of your video cost me £1.89 on cdkeys lol cheers Vr is yet to be sorted lol. Cool vids cheers 😊
iRacing/ACC/rFactor2/RaceRoom/GT7....not in that order but these and a few that I failed to mention are the racers to run for variety and the fact that these are the best racers out there. They all offer great experiences and different group of cars\tracks and online multiplayer experiences that are great. Good to see other content from the aforementioned not to be named franchise.
@@TheGreyBeardGamer I didn't post my comment to say which sim or simcade is better i.e GT7 because that is a totally different experience with different goals in mind. In reference to iRacing graphics that depends on which GPU you have that determines what detail you can get from the it that iRacing allows you to dial up to with 60fps with a very high resolution. The avg persons budget doesn't allow for the GPU that can be used for iracing , we have to remember iRacing was designed to run on older machines with minimum ram as possible. Concerning the subscription service it's basically ala cart i.e you only pay for the content you want. But My actual point is there are many platforms to choose from which are all good and it's not good to be tied down or pigeon holed in there is only one great experience. I actually run them all from iRacing to console releases i.e Forza and how I found your channel and enjoy them all other than the latter mention : ) In response to GT7 is ok, we must remember the GT series paved the way for all these sims and simcade's today. I'm sure its safe to say GT7 nearly 3yrs after its release that it still has more active racers than the recent Forza release which speaks for itself.
@@SiCaRiI_DaGgEr forza driving model is way better than gt7. And that's the most important aspect on these games. As for active racers where do u get your numbers? Probably using the steam numbers but You know forza is not only on steam but on xbox/pc gamepass. So the the real number is unknown and so is that of gt7 since sony doesnt give any active users numbers as far as i know.
Nice to see you hopping into rFactor. You are DEFINITELY giving the channel "variety"! My understanding of Factor is that it is considered to be up at the top of the Simracing world, when it comes to physics and overall gameplay. I believe it's "UNPOPULARITY" is due to ALL of it's content is practically behind a paywall to enjoy, which is NOT a poplar thing to be had for everyone...lol And YES, Forza is NOT a bad game, it's just NOT a FINISHED, POLISHED game, the way it "SHOULD'VE-COULD'VE-WOULD HAVE BEEN", from the start!...lol ...and the word you were looking for, to describe FORZA, is "Arcade-like"...lol
@@Fred_Bassett I beg to differ. All of the official content for Factor 2 is paid content. What you get in the "Steam Workshop", is "community modding", such as you would get in Assetto Corsa, and the alike; which is additional content made to be primarily free by the public/community. Though, one CAN argue the case for content being FREE, which I will agree with you on that part, but WITHOUT the paid content, your not able to really use any of the modding, from what I've been told. You can certainly correct me if I'm wrong on that part, if that is NOT the case. I don't play rFactor, so I'm NOT going to argue on HOW it exactly works. If you enjoy AMS2, you will love RF2! AMS2 has better graphics and is better in VR, but for everything else RF2 is easily superior! FFB, physics, AI, online competition system with schedules and ratings, content are all superior in RF2!
I really like RFactor 2 racing with the AI cars. Seems like they do two things. The AI does great racing with each other and they don't give up when you pass them for position. The AI will try and take back the position that we are in if I slack off my racing at all. So all that said, I find the AI very aggressive, but I feel they do know we are on the track. In RFactor 2 I have done many simulated Indycar type races on Oval tracks to simulate the series, and find the AI cars are fun to race with and some what challenging. Plus in RFactor 2 I really like the formation laps and pitting. until a true Indycar or Nascar comes along that is realistic, RFactor comes the closest to doing these two series. I am more into American style racing on US tracks. Thanks for the video, and take care.
Definitely appreciate you covering all these other racing games. However, I am going to need you to send over the expense justification for the new gaming PC, DD wheel and pedals so I can submit to the wife for approval. My old gaming PC is, well old, I think 2011 or 2012. All Ive got is the Xbox Series X and a Mac Studio, which is a beast. But nobody really supports Mac OS for gaming…
As far as Forza Motorsport, I was reading some stuff this weekend on their site. They prioritize skill then safety rating when matchmaking. If they flip that and make Safety Ranking top priority and increase the penalties, that should be an easy fix to push it in the right direction.
@@TheGreyBeardGamer I played ACC for a few hours today. I started to get the feel, but I just can’t get into it. The FFB and feel of the track and tires is no where near FM2023.
I play all sim racing games. Nothing compares to IRacing. Road feel and braking is second to none. The subscription cost is discouraging but it’s well worth it once you jump in and experience the online mode. The graphics are constantly improving with every track scan and update. That said, AMS2 has the best graphics for me. The force feedback is unrealistic though. This is why almost all real life pro drivers play IRacing and use it to practice for real life racing.
Thanks for that info. Didn’t know they are upgrading graphics regularly. In tried it a long time ago the graphics where bad and the subscription like you said was discouraging. But I will look into it again
They are only horrible when you are playing with drivers under A Sportsmanship rating. The GT7 matchmaking works well and it is closer to a sim than everyone thinks. That's why nurburgrung laps times match the in real life cars. What rating are you
