  • In this video you will learn how to fill in text and images with pens or markers in Cricut Design Space. If you are interested in learning a different hatch fill method make sure you check out this video • How To Fill In Writing...
    Special Note:
    While editing this video I wanted to show you another trick but I lost my voice - so here it is ... You will see me change the colours of the lines one by one but you can also change the colour of your lines all at the same time. Highlight all your lines and change the colour - if you want each line to be all the same colour. In examples like the rainbow (where the layers overlap) it may be hard to select just the layers you want. In this case, hide the layers you are not working with (by clicking on the eye next to the layer in the layers panel) then select your layers you want to be one colour and change them all together.

    This is an update that @cricut should do. Sillouette allows you to fill images with different patterns but I cant understand why cricut dont want to bring a better user experience.
    Thanks for your recomendation! I used it on foil too

      Cricut is continually making new improvements. Maybe this will be one of them in the future. They love getting feedback and suggestions from users so you can always send them a message and let them know your thoughts.

    Thank You! I never knew you could go inside the text with offset.

    If this works I'm going to be SO grateful! I've gone back to my very old program -- "Printmaster" -- to add text and fonts to my card making or projects. It's so much easier!! Trying to get fonts to look good with Cricut has been a waste of time -- but I have saved your video and will try it first thing tomorrow! Thanks so much!!!

    You also do the black and put a red pen in the pen holder and you get a red colored object

    I appreciate the tips. You are so kind for sharing. I still find a machine capable of loading pens, lacking a bucket fill tick a bit crazy. Wonder why they chose all the round abouts

      Yes it would be so much easier if we could just click a button.

    Brilliant solution!- & great video : )
    It works great with the regular cricut fine point pen, but I did find with the markers (1mm) that it did mess up the marker tips- just not made for that kind of repeated pressure.

    how about an add list for colors . like the materials list

    I’d like to see a video on what each of the combine tools could be used for. Any chance you could do that?

    Hello. Thanks for a great video! is there any chance the starting line like is in the heart etc , can be avoided? Do you know if i just choose for the Cricut to draw an outline of a balloon for instance is there a good technique to fill the inner part by hand without it looking like a 5th grader? Also will this method work on sticker paper? Thank you, Thank you!!

    • @littlecraftnest
      @littlecraftnest  2 месяца назад +1

      If you want a perfect fill the best method would be to use print then cut, rather than draw. Yes you could use this technique on sticker paper but you may want to put laminate on top to protect the ink from smudging.

    I don't know what the problem is, but after I follow the directions you suggest, when I hit "Make It" it goes back to just an outline! I tried both of your videos for filling the letters in! So frustrated!

    • @littlecraftnest
      @littlecraftnest  Год назад

      That does sound frustrating. Make sure you attach all your layer before clicking “make it’. If it still happens try restarting design space, maybe there is a glitch.

    I tried but it won’t print for me. I get an error that it won’t work for my machine. I have Joy. Bummer.

    My problem is that mine doesn’t do the inside offset 😢 it has never worked on Ds for me ever for some reason

    • @littlecraftnest
      @littlecraftnest  10 месяцев назад

      That’s frustrating. You could try to reinstall DS and see if that helps or maybe switch from live to beta mode. Or it could be due to a slow computer connection and the computer is just taking a long time to process.

  • @tessgerbrandt9400

    Ok but when I try to go to the inverted side of creating the offset. Nothing shows up and it doesn’t create a new offset result layer
