I was born in 2000 and didn't have anyone interested in Metal, so I got offically into stuff beyond Metalcore and Nu Metal in college and post but if it's something that I miss about Metal, it's the fun aspect! Euronymous tried to make Metal (with Black Metal) as unfun as possible and this genre is fucking big, and how everything became either too techy, either waay to much of a demonstration of art with mixed genres element, where tf is this fun era of Metal, I guess only in Thrash and Death can still be found... I kinda understand why lots switched to Hardcore alongside Death Metal after the 80's when Thrash already released it's most amazing stuff...
