Is there any USER FRIENDLY way to clip out transparent areas in a texture to prevent it from affecting channels such as roughness? I notice that yours affects roughness as soon as you enable the channel. There surely must be a way to use the alpha in a texture to clip out ALL contributions to ALL channels, but if there is I don't know it. This seems like a basic functionality that's missing.
A bit late to the party, but a very simple solution is to create a separate layer and then deselect everything besides height on that layer. Then set it to full white and voila, you can paint a normal layer without affecting the bump of the other layers
Ok you need to tell us...where in the world did you get that animated desktop background lol? I want one sooo bad but I do not know where to find them and yes I have tried google...Also lol great tutorial, its so hard to find youtubers who are willing to actually teach efficiently so I salute you!
I didn't really choose choose it. Just came up when i typed in "Logo" or something into google images. Saw cube in the middle of a triangle and thought "that'll work for a tutorial". Had no idea it's relation :(
It projects it from sort of a plane. If you make the decal thicker it'll work but could cause stretching depending how much it's being rounded. Bit of trial and error to get it right. Equally you can always apply it to the 2D texture side and see how that looks.
it does not allow me to drag
this is amazing, thank you!
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
@@perttipleer no, you're exactly what I'm looking for
