Thank you. You should give the tag a go. I'd love to hear your picks. I really need to read Blood Meridian again. I know there is so much I missed in the first read, but one really needs to be in the right frame of mind for it. Or at least mood readers like me do. 😁
Thnx so much for doing the tag! 🥰 Some really interesting picks here. I can def see Blood Meridian for disgust. 🤢 And I'm so glad you ended up pleasantly surprised by Frankenstein (ya know it's my fave! 😍); that book really can come as a surprise if you're only familiar with the films. Anyway, great choices! ☺
War of the worlds-surprise Dracula- great surprise. The plague (Camus) -sadness. Bukowski?-laughter til tears. "THE BELL TOLLS FOR NO ONE" Dostoievsky Crime and punishment and.. the idiot. Bore-me-ievsky. Fiodr.. 🙄.
Hello! I thought the first book was by far the weakest in the series so far. The subsequent books get better and better. It becomes space opera in the best ways I love after book 1. It’s political, and philosophical, and action packed, but also character driven, and the twists are spectacular. I have already preordered book 6 coming out next year and I can’t wait. So, I’d say you are in for a serious treat, my friend. 🤓
This is a tough tag, but you did a great job. Good info about It.
Thank you. I'd love to know your picks.
I love seeing you talk about Blood Meridian, Disgust is a good prompt for sure. and good lord, ther rest of your list is all so good!

Piranesi 🏛🐟🌊
Which feel did this book hit you in?
Sympathy and awe for sure! I felt bad for Piranesi while also sympathizing with his adoration for the House.
Thanks. Have also had Moby Dick on my shelves for years. Frankenstein, too. Re-motivated to read!
You can do it!!!!
Hi! Noticed you have the Red Rising books on the shelf behind you. I just read book 1 and really enjoyed it. What did you think?
