The fact that they haven’t actually shown us footage of the game yet is ( hopefully ) very promising. And the vague 2025 release date without the “early” in front of it also ( HOPEFULLY) suggests a long development time!!!!

I pray that this releases in LATE 2025 so they have plenty of time to work on it, streamline it, and get all the bugs and glitches out, and make sure that it's a complete game before they ship it out.
Oh yes, considering how no gameplay was shown, I wouldn’t be surprised if it releases closer to the usual “main-line” release dates in November. I’m perfectly fine waiting that amount of time if it means we get something on the same level as Arceus.
It would also mean they save the actual new Gen 10 main-line game for another year or two after that, which again, I don’t think anyone would genuinely complain about. Gen 10 better be astounding.

That final shot of the mega symbol means a lot. I feel like they did that (hopefully) to tell us they have heard our cries for Megas to return and that they'll not only be back but will stay back and be expanded.

@@sunofabob yeh but I tbh liked that bdsp looked more like an old pokemon with a 2.5 graphics just the texture quality was bad and its kinda boring they did Platinum with less content and not something like oras. So 2.5 graphics with at least b2 w2 levels of content and a bigger nat dex maybe a new gimmick would be optimal

It's really not, Palworld is nothing like Pokemon games lol. Pokemon games aren't Ark Survival with cuter creatures they have linear progression. Palworld is fun but its not really anything like Pokemon's core gameplay loop besides there being creatures to collect@@Ollie121299OnPC

It would be cool on the one hand on the other Kalos is a beautiful region with great route design but extremely undercooked it would be nice to see the region espacilly the parts we couldn't go to more expanded. I know legends is openworld but I rather prefer games that are semi open world like mass effect
I could see it being placed in the past with Kalos not yet being established and us building the first settlement that would become Lumiose City.
And even if not, I am hyped 🎉
It says Lumiose City REdevelopment plans, not development plans. So I wouldn't count out the possibility that it's set in the future.
@@SolisAstral Legend arceus was set in the past so why not a future game. Taking tasks to raise money for the building while training pokemon or something. Go catch pokemon for labor force and such or some worker request something and you need wilde pokemon to complete the task.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A is the perfect opportunity to dwell in on the Great Pokemon War with AZ and his Floette, the Limited Mega Forms in the Present, and lore behind Ash-Greninja, making these core/side journeys on the Zygarde plot planned for the game.
Like making the atmosphere at the time allowing mega forms for some pokemon to be exclusive at that time period (like an old Zygarde form had aura for those exclusive megas), having the time period take place during the Mega Stone meteorites from space or having their mega stones collected/destroyed during the war, implying that those "old" mega forms got extinct/were forgotten in the future, the same parallels for Hisuian forms gone extinct and has barely any reminders in thr present day.
As for the Ash-Greninja lore, they could have Greninja's form as old Kalos's Legendary Guardian alongside the ninja hero from the Pokemon XYZ anime to make them one of the heroes who helped in a Zygarde incident at that time period. Add in a Mega Charizard Z still exclusive to that time and a rival/antagonist/possile champion similar to Volo in Legends Arceus and that could also parallel to Ash and Alain being the reincarnations of these two characters ( I got the idea of Naruto and Sasuke being reincarnations of Ashura and Indra), or perhaps have the ninja hero be the you; the playable character the hero of this journey.
As for the Great Pokemon War, Gamefreak could perhaps find ways to connect these events, from the Mega phenomenon to the connections of AZ and floette, to the Greninja lore, I mean the game title itself is swapped with AZ's name, perhaps that was intented or just a coincidence but if ever a plot was already made or implemented, these storylines are one of the perfect ones to include in Pokemon Legends: Z-A
Kalos was the most undercooked games imo, so finally getting some answers and a continuation from that game is well welcomed in my opinion. Hopefully we get more info about AZ, the war, and Zygarde here.

Technically, we are going to the Distant Future this time as you can see how Cyberize the setting is and how modernize things are plus it did say Urban Redevelopment Plan for Lumious City.
@dioniciolorenzarcega9041 I'm glad I'm not the only one who caught this. I don't think it's gonna be "set in the past" like Legends Arceus, I think it'll be something modern or futuristic. Hell, I've heard other comments saying it might be mostly based in Lumiose City which could work in a way. Like imagine an entire game in one city but the map is huge and the central tower acts as the "hub" and you get like 4 or 5 open world sections of each part of the City.
I had a theory that there would be a legends in Kalos because the legendaries from Kalos weren't in scarlet and violet. It reminded me of the lack of sinnoh pokemon in sword and shield.

- Game not releasing in 2024, so they have time to not rush it ( I hope ). Also we don't have in game footage, which is a good thing for graphics I guess
- Unexpectedly, we're finally gonna get a legends kalos game that will talk about the war 3000 years ago. I was expecting it to release one day but not that soon, I'm really happy.
- Finally the return of mega evolutions and a zygard fully developped ( I guess since it's pokemon Z ).

Megas are the best gimmick of the entire franchise, it's only wise that they'll bring it back.
I also hope that the Legends series will also be simultaneously be released along side the mainline pokemons for lore expansions of the regions.

I wonder if this game would cover not just AZ's Kingdom and probably Hoenn's story because AZ was also there when Groundon, Kyougre, and Rayquaza achieved Primal and Mega Forms and the A probably meant the Delta Symbol like Rayquaza. Will they cover other stories like what we saw in the movies like Diancie's, Hoopa's, Volcanion's, and Magearna's movies?

I thought this was a joke at first but I still want to see what they do especially if mega evolutions are back. But The Urban redevelopment part has me thinking that's how you're going to be unlocking a lot of stuff
AS A HUGE X AND Y FAN, I HAD TO LOGIN TO COMMENT THIS. THIS WAS THE MOST UNEXPECTED ANNOUNCEMENT, BUT I'M ABSOLUTELY THRILLED THAT WE ARE FINALLY REVISITING KALOS AGAIN, MY HYPE CAN'T BE CONTAINED.
I THOROUGLY BELIEVE GEN 6 WAS ONE OF THE BEST POKEMON GENERATIONS, YET THERE POTENTIAL WAS CUT OFF EARLY DUE TO GAME FREAK WANTING TO RUSH TO DEVELOP GEN 7 FOR THE SERIES 20TH ANNIVERSARY. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT MANY OF US HAVE BEEN WANTING, AND THANK GOD IT HAS BEEN ANNOUNCED.

Does anyone think that we're going to see more of Zygarde, unlike the orginal X and Y? It seems like Zygarde had a larger plot in the story, but due to the rushing of the game and scrapping of Pokemon Z, we didn't get to see that.
As much as I was hoping for black and white remakes this works as well and it has me excited for a few things
-new starter final evos if they make that the trend with legends games
-new kalos forms (or whatever they decide to call them)
And something that could be a very real possibility
-new megas
Just the idea that mega evolution is back and that we might potentially be getting new megas for other Pokémon is exciting, we might honestly see the mega flygon train start back up
