Weren't Mega's discarded because they were too busted? It's the same reason why Game Freak keeps trying and failing with evolution gimmicks. The fact that they don't really get that making a Garchomp even more powerful is just going to warp the format.
They also connected it with Mega Evolution nicely, these two are primal beings and so exposure to infinity energy ignites them and unlocks their full potential rather than the confined form they hold after the world was finished.
I agree full heartedly. Their Mega forms in this video are interesting but a bit much to look at. Given how awesome in power they already are, they didn't really need more than what they were given in ORAS. It makes them look like they're overflowing with energy/power, which is awesome.
i definetely agree and also when it comes to their designs i also honestly like the more simpler and slique designs (as some would say less sometimes is more)

The only issue I have with primal forms is the fact that primal rayquaza isn't a thing. I feel like if you're making a trio, have them all have similar niches like make them all have megas or all have primals. It makes it feel like rayquaza doesn't fit in with an ancient kyogre and groudon since it isn't strong enough naturally to match them, like it needs a mega evolution to match their primal forms which isn't naturally occuring. Idk if I make sense.
@@nishanthv1112 yeah I wish Rayquaza had a primal but the thing was that Rayquaza would stop the fighting, where the whole point of primal was that they lose their mind a bit, it's just them going crazy trying to get all the power they can. However, Pokemon like Mewtwo or Rayquaza are among the few who have the ability to call upon the strength of mega evolution solo.
I always viewed the rayquaza bit being that unlike groudon and kyogre who revert to their primal forms back when they needed to make the sea and land, since rayquaza doesn't have that, I always believed it implied that rayquaza didn't need a primal form because it was already as strong as it was back when groudon and kyogre were roaming around in their primal forms, that's why rayquaza got the mega rather than a primal, what's the point of regressing when you even after all these millennia are as strong as you were back then, the mega in my eyes would've just been a boost to put the the two in their place if things got out of control, but that's just what I had in mind that's about it
I think Ho-Oh should be fire dark or ghost so it’s an actual counterpart for Lugia. So even tho it’s weak to Lugia’s new water typing, it’s strong with its Dark/ghost typing.
I would rather Ho-oh be fire/fairy typing to reference its origin as a phoenix like bird and also to give it a very strong competitive typing that, while still enabling Lugia to counter it, means it is extremely viable on all teams.
It still baffles me that Kalos, the region that introduced Mega Evolutions had only ONE Pokemon that could Mega Evolve. Not the starters, not the Legendary, but a Mythical! Why Gamefreak why???
While water/dark can work for mega kyogre, I think it should be water/ice instead. 1: it’s an orca/whale, they tend to live in arctic areas anyways 2: the dark type doesn’t exactly represent darkness or evilness, it’s more so mischievous and using dirty tactics, that doesn’t really fit kyogre 3: ice could represent the arctic climates better, you could also still say that it’s representing the deep ocean too since it’s cold down there
Did you know there’s a reason for why Rayquaza was the only one to get a Mega? It’s because our Rayquaza is already Primal Rayquaza. Our current Groupon and Kyogre lost their primal forms due to Rayquaza beating them up so hard they lost some of their power. Therefore, there should exist a weaker form of Rayquaza and Mega forms for Groudon and Kyogre.

Speaking of Shadow Pokémon, did you know that the main story final boss of Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness, and Explorers of Sky, is actually a Shadow Pokémon?
I really think that a Mega Xerneas should get the additional Grass type that way it adds more to the life-bringing aspect that it has. Either typing for Yveltal would result in both of them having a super effective type against each other which was really lacking to begin with.

Great art and concepts! The Tower Duo is my favorite 😍🗼🌈🌊. Lol I prefer the primal forms over your mega concepts though, I do think Kyogre getting the Dark type would be cool though
I agree with a lot of what you said other than Kyogre gaining the Dark type to be a good thing. I'd expect it more to be an Ice type since the depths of the ocean is really cold, same with the polar regions and since it controls all water, it makes sense that it'd be able to control the solid version of it as well. Besides, it also allows Kyogre to deal neutral damage against Groudon when it Mega Evolves/Primal Reverts because of both of them having the Ground/Fire type.
The fact that groudon and kyogre get their own primal forms whilst rayquaza just got a mega form kinda felt out of place when playing oras. I mean the design of all three forms are cool it just kinda felt off that the literal referee of these two titans just gets a mega form to settle em down rather than a primal form to match their level. Either way tho these three will always be cool!

The primal forms was because the lore gives Raquaza a mega evolution because arceus needed someone to be stronger than Groudon and Kyogor to stop their fights
The Tower duo look awesome, same thing with the Aura Legendaries, Kyogre looks scary, like a sea monster, but Groudon looks too bulky IMO. Overall awesome work, would really like to see more.
Honestly, I'd just give to any alternative form of Kyogre the Ice Type, first because the oceans are pretty linked with icebergs and ice in general, second because with the Ice type Groudon could have a chance to do just NORMAL damage to his rival! Good god, when Groudon mega-evolves, Kyogre could 1hko him even with a watersprout at 1 hp left! xD
More episodes of this PLEASE! I loved these designs, especially for Kyogre and Groudon. It never made sense to me why Rayquaza got a mega but the other two just became glowy instead of getting amazing megas like Rayquaza. Some interesting megas to see in a future episode could be megas of the Alolan Nature's Guardian Quartet, or the Swords of Justice. I feel like those are some pretty underrated legendaries, and a mega could be just what they need to get the attention they deserve. Plus their designs could be really unique, maybe playing around with the mask design for the Guardians, or taking the Swords part quite literally for the SoJ.
Okay, so a couple of things I want to address here: 1) What are you going to do with Aeroblast? If Lugia Mega Evolves to PSY/WTR, it loses STAB to its signature move. If a PSY/WTR Mega Lugia would happen, there will need to be an ability similar to Steelworker in that it increases damage to Flying-type moves, but also has an additional effect like Multiscale because just having a new STAB isn't good for a Legendary. 2) No offense to the artists, but that Mega Groudon and Kyogre are uglier than their normal and Primal forms. I would not like them. That being said, making Kyogre WTR/DRK is a good idea, for the sole reason that now both Megas are the same types as their respective evil team's signature Pokemon. I'm surprised you didn't mention that.
Personally always believed that Lugia should have been a psychic water type from the begining. My reason is that it would give a deeper type of ying yang relationship between the two box legendaries simiar to the other legendaries like mew and Mewtwo being the first natural and man-made pokemon respectively. That been that Ho-oh could in a way represents a brigh and active spirit/mind due to been a light theme bird that's flying around the world doing something and Lugia the deeper, hidden and passive soul-subconscious that holds great amounts of power, like the actual subconscious, and is hidden/unseen in the dark beneath the oceans like the soul is hidden in the body.
@@bobmarkersonFirst of all, none of us know what Tera Forms mean at all, even the leak analysers. And second, I'd sooner see the starters and some random Pokémon get those forms than the Tower Duo. Because Legendary Pokémon don't deserve too much special treatment.
Exactly. It's literally just Mega Evolutions with a different name. I don't get why they got them to begin with, especially since they don't even look good because of it.
I really disagree about the Primals. They look more 'legendary' than their base forms, with boldened color pallettes and luminescent features. To be honest, and no offense to the artist, but your argument actually contradicts your thoughts on the Xerneas and Yveltal forms, which ultimately look way too similar to the bases.
You did great on the legendary Pokemon and I would like to see the birds (Moltres Articuno and Zapdos) and the galar forms to get megas and maybe the light trio (Solgaleo lunala and necrozma) I think the light trio have a lot of hidden potential in mega forms
According to the original creator, Lugia was not supposed to have Psychic type. He meant it to be water-flying since its supposed to be a mother-like Pokémon. And the oceans were the cradle of creation.
I love Primal Reversion, but I never did understand the decision to give Groudon and Kyogre Primal forms but then give Rayquaza a standard mega. Like make up your damn minds.
Lugia looks so amazing. Lugia is my favourite Legendary and with this Mega form it looks so bada*s. And I love that Shadow Lugia was referenced. Great job.
Imagine if Groudon had a terrain ability maybe called molten terrain which could, say, halve water damage towards Groudon specifically plus additional fire buffs while Kyogre retains a weather ability. Thematically it could be pretty cool seeing two different types of weather conditions clash at the same time.
Thanks for watching everyone! Which of these new Megas is your favorite? And which legendary would you want to get a mega the most? 👀

The Tower duo look awesome, same thing with the Aura Legendaries, Kyogre looks scary, like a sea monster, but Groudon looks too bulky IMO.
Overall awesome work, would really like to see more.
Lil bro predicted the future this legends Kalos💀
Megas deserve so much more love in the main games. Kinda weird that they just added mega mewtwo X/Y to Pokemon Unite but left them out of S/V
Bro predicted that the next legends game is in kalos
Okay, so a couple of things I want to address here:
1) What are you going to do with Aeroblast?
I'm surprised you didn't mention that.
i hope there's a " What if EVERY Paradox Pokemon Got a Mega Evolution"
No legends kalos but a legends ZA
I think the main way we could see Mega Evos return is after Niantic runs out of Megas to add to Pokemon Go and appeals to Game Freak to make new ones.
Mega Kyogre and Mega Lugia the best of the bunch!!! Great work by the artist! Keep these types of videos flowing.
Mega ho-oh and mega lugia where definitely my favourite 2 and I have now put up a poster of a screen shot of the video on my wall. Thanks a lot!
Personally always believed that Lugia should have been a psychic water type from the begining. My reason is that it would give a deeper type of ying yang relationship between the two box legendaries simiar to the other legendaries like mew and Mewtwo being the first natural and man-made pokemon respectively. That been that Ho-oh could in a way represents a brigh and active spirit/mind due to been a light theme bird that's flying around the world doing something and Lugia the deeper, hidden and passive soul-subconscious that holds great amounts of power, like the actual subconscious, and is hidden/unseen in the dark beneath the oceans like the soul is hidden in the body.
yea same
I really don’t see how you think the mega groudon and Kyogre designs look better then the primal forms
I love gen 2 legendaries, i wish the main two also get something
They will probably get a tera form
@@bobmarkersonFirst of all, none of us know what Tera Forms mean at all, even the leak analysers. And second, I'd sooner see the starters and some random Pokémon get those forms than the Tower Duo. Because Legendary Pokémon don't deserve too much special treatment.
the Lugia and Ho-oh was INSANE. Def hope you make another video like this
*I mean Groundon and Kyogre both already have primal forms which are just renamed megas*
Exactly. It's literally just Mega Evolutions with a different name. I don't get why they got them to begin with, especially since they don't even look good because of it.
This one would be a sick new series lowkey highkey 👀
This aged well
already a few minutes into the video and bro is forshadowing SO HARD rn
1:55 about that
LuGiA hAs NeVeR hAd A sPeCiAl FoRm
Shadow lugia: am I a joke to you
He also even mentioned shadow lugia
And the oceans were the cradle of creation.
mega giratina, dialga, and palkia are gonna look incredible
I’m here after Pokémon Legends ZA 👀
Love the Mega Lugia and Ho-oh. Grew up playing Gold and Silver (and HG-SS). It would be so cool to see something like those in the new Legends game.
Bro ruined groundon and kyogure with mega forms
Hot take: primal kyogre should be water/flying type, since it can cause storms and fly
1:53 this didn’t age well
I'd say this aged perfectly woth the new legends za coming up😊
Aging well means, it being correct.
Didn't age well means it was wrong
Ah well oops mb
@@pernicious001 i was correcting the OP, not you if thats what you were implying
I haven’t even seen the first idea but adding to the algorithms cuz more please 😮
Honestly these were all great! But you made Lugia look even more flying psychic by turning its hands into wings. Hooh looked fire tho! 🔥
100% wanna see all these legendaries!!! Let’s get this series going all the way until the end 🤩🤩🤩
Great job.
I love that someone is still talking about Mega evolutions. I. Love. It.
Mega Ho-Oh looks so right. It's outstanding.
Groudon and Kyogre mega evolutions look really good too.
How ironic that is came out before the reveal
This video pleases me. Do more.
Imagine if Groudon had a terrain ability maybe called molten terrain which could, say, halve water damage towards Groudon specifically plus additional fire buffs while Kyogre retains a weather ability. Thematically it could be pretty cool seeing two different types of weather conditions clash at the same time.
Coming back here, well It was not legends Kalos but It was a legends in Kalos indeed
