      Good to hear Nicola, the best thing about pre-shaping this way is the saw blades get another use once the cutting surface has worn out.

      @@paulhardie oh yes, that's a good point.
      How often do you wear a blade out???

    • @paulhardie
      @paulhardie  3 месяца назад +1

      @@nicolagraynewzealandrockho8976 I usually have to replace the blade every two or three batches, the Agates wore it out in one 😬

    I was going to ask about the 46 wearing out the rubber.
    I just love your vibe tumbler.

      @paulhardie  3 месяца назад +1

      I haven't really noticed any excess wear on the rubber barrels 🤔
      I actually just bought another vibe tumbler, Aussie Sapphire had them marked down from $650 to $450 👍

      @@paulhardie that's good to hear, I'd like to use 46 more.
      I've had it in my plastic barrels.
      Wears the lids out though

      @@nicolagraynewzealandrockho8976 it certainly goes through the Lortone lid seals quickly but they're easy to patch 👍

      @@nicolagraynewzealandrockho8976 yeah, not worth the cost plus postage, I have a sheet of about 1/4 inch rubber I glue to the underside, that stuff will last decades 😁
