I need a trolling system just like what you have Iol, What do you think the total cost of that set up would be including the railing out? I noticed you said the company who does it went out of business, do you know someone who does it?
I think the trolling motors are 3600.00, lithium batteries are about 2k, troll ski sold the frames for 2k. But they no longer sell the frames. The electrical is another beast. They included a wiring harness, but we had to alter it and do different stuff. We can build the custom frames for about 2500.00.
Man-you have a lot of lithium batteries. The heading sensor only pulls a small amount power. If you find you have a little more weight on the back of your ski, you could run the heading sensor to your battery for the ski. Works great on my fish pro. I have a 24 volt lithium dedicated to my Ulterra for all day fishing.
We can custom fabricate one but they start at 2400.00. The troll ski folks did theirs pretty good but people complained about their price. Me owning a fab shop and knowing all that goes into making one, I jumped at it. Made sense for me. I would change a couple things if I made a new one
A 12v 55lbs one would be enough to 'lock" this small baby. But for auto deploy, 24v is minimal.
