Awesome video Garage Bound, LLC! Thanks so much for documenting this project on RUclips. Your dog is a champion too! If you don't mind, approximately what does the Minn Kota Ulterra weigh on it's own? I'm finding it hard to get that data from retailers here in Australia. I have an older model Seadoo GTX and I'm keen to retrofit it with something like this. I hope your efforts give you many productive and enjoyable days on the water. 👍
Really thinking I'd like to have a Fish Pro. Came across this video and said YES! That would be great....figured the mount would be stupid priced for what it is...some tubing some flat stock and a plate, screws and paint. I'm thinkin, I bet that's $500 US.... Boy was I wrong! $1900 US..... um, no... I'll make one myself. Mahahahaha
They don't all have spotlock, auto raising, they have different length shafts, there's only certain ones for salt water etc etc. I'd ask the same questions but there is a bunch of reasons he went that way.
I have a question. That’s TrollSkii says that the shaft needs to be trimmed to 45”. Unfortunately the Minn Kota Ulterra shaft cannot be cut. Did you cut yours? How did you do it? I’m installing my Minn Kota Ulterra, 54” shaft, on a Fish Pro like yours. Do you think will work without cutting the shaft shorter?
Awesome video the only problem is trollskii is going out of business. I was wondering if you could send me the dimensions of the mounting plates since you're a fabricator. Or if you could make them I would pay you. Thanks
Absolutely interested. Troll Ski has been very good to me. I am waiting to hear back from them to see if they wouldn’t mind if I do work like this since they are closing up shop. I would want to make some changes, as I have had to to my system.
@@GarageBoundLLC Just in case i have tried numerous times to reach trollskii with no luck, all I need is the mounting plates diagram etc. or I can even pay you to make them for me. I have tried with no luck but I have the trolling motor mount done. I'm hoping you can help me i will pay for shipping and whatever else you need thanks
@@ktmdays I don’t know. I would probably just ask for a machine that works right. I absolutely love mine. It’s the nicest thing I have ever gotten for myself
the 1 mile per hour is still to fast for some trolling, or just trolling along the bank doing finesse fishing its to fast, but ok for spinners etc. also one of the main reasons is the spot lock - getting rid of the anchor which as explained can be a nuisance like when needing to chase a fish or for quick move and stay scenarios. also you can be much quieter. There are three huge reasons for you Kent.
This is cool but dang batteries in the live well. I rather go with smaller batteries in 24v find some place to squeeze them in the hull. And use a dc to dc charge controller seadoo fish pro trophy has a big 600 watt generator. It's not going to work very hard to charge the 2 stock batteries. It can handle a dc dc charger.
Seadoo said the jetski cannot been moved more than 5mph forward or backward in the water when engine is off, otherwise water will go in and damage the engine. I am curious if you have had any issues with water entering your engine if so how have you solved the issue?
@@GarageBoundLLC im guessing the water enters though the flush port . for the same reason you have to turn the engine on before opening the water valve.
Minn Kota on this is overkill... On a boat, great but of kit. But considering the Fish Pro has a trolling setting, a $20 anchor does everything you'd want and it doesn't mess up the look of the ski or cost 20% of the cost of the Sea Doo. But good on you for doing this.
trollski a heckuva nice mount... but at $1800..... its as much as the trolling motor. Trollski needs to get the price down to sub $800 and ill bite.... til then Ill make a transom mount.... why so many batteries? and no room in hull for a trolling motor batt? one has to give up the cooler to have a trolling motor? that stinks... :(
The dogs face as you set him off on the water 😅🤣😂
Dog: Woof... this is some witchcraft bullshit!
Haha! He totally didn’t understand what was happening!

Yeah, it cheap, but what is?!
Great video guys 👍😎
Just curious why the smallest 12vlt minn kota wasn't used ?
36vlt system seems a major overkill

How does the puck work being so close to the motor base??
No issues
Enjoyed that.Thanks. Good fishing.🇩🇰

Give up your cooler/live well for a trolling motor when the fish pro already has troll mode and reverse?

Not sure about that. The engine is a closed loop system for cooling. Not sure why it would do that

You can get a fitting installed to rectify this. If you break down you can then be towed home at speed

Lmao. Ya, but you constantly have to steer it. It doesn't steer lock, and in any waves, you'll be making constant adjustments.
