    Hi guys,
    Seadoo have a plug and play bilge pump made for fishpro and there is an outlet position allocated that ejects the water out threw the jet outlet.
    There is also a mount adjacent to the transducer for you to bolt the builder pump to.
    I just got mine installed by the dealer

    Good install but bad location for the discharge. I installed a 100gph bilge in my GP1200r and i put the discharge in the back. Much easier for the water flow, also you shouldve used a float to make it automatic, that bilge pump will burn out if it constantly runs dry..

    • @rickss69
      @rickss69 3 месяца назад +5

      Actually a great spot for discharge. You want it where any water flow is instantly and easily noticed...something behind you may not be noticed until it is too late. People are under the impression that a bilge pump will keep something from sinking...you are dead wrong. They can't keep up and are there as a indicator that something is wrong...which is exactly why that forward discharge port is a good idea.

    Good on ya for going the extra mile to install a bilge pump; I think all PWC's should have one. I installed a Whale Supersub SS1212. It has an electronic sensor (not a true float switch) and I wired it directly to the battery with an inline fuse. That way, it will kick in even if the ski is unattended. The problem with the OEM setup is that it only works if the key is inserted.

    • @AM-lb9fo

      Did you only use one inline fuse ? if so, which side positive or negative side of the battery ?As you know , the Automatic bilge pump. we only use 2 wires instead of 3. the brown and the black ...Thanks

      The only reason you will get water inside your Sea Doo hull is if the oem carbon seal that are prone to go bad without notice fail. From my own experience (I almost sank my 3 seater ski in the open ocean waters one day) in my opinion a bilge pump is a most have item that everyone should install in their Sea Doo skis 😉. I use to wrench in skis in the past and I have had six of them of in the past.

    My question is why did you have a discharge into the foot well and should be discharged to the outside of the ski and why didn’t you put it on the switch so you don’t run your battery down with the pump continuously running even though the skis on you’re putting stress on the electrical system and possibly more than likely burn out the pump when it’s running dry

      They absolutely DO NOT. They have a vacuum bailer. Your vacuum bailer will run very well, as long as the engine is running. The problems come when say, you just hit something, water came in, the engine will not start and now you’re taking on water. If you can’t get that engine running and start moving at idle speeds, you’re going to be in a world of trouble. The bilge pump runs off of your battery still has potential for failure, but it is most certainly not a factory included option..

    Im sorry but i totally disagree with the way this is installed. The creator of video stated "This bilge is ran on a fuse, it doesn’t drain your battery." that is not true. The pump is running off the battery, the fuse is there to protect it from drawing too much current in case of a short and frying the electrical. also there should be a float switch on this bilge. you do not want a bilge pump running the entire time a your ski is powered up. If your thinking of adding a bilge, do not follow this video. Get a bilge pump with a float switch and wire it direct to the battery with a inline fuse. The only time it should kick on would be if water is in the hull. it should not run all the time. also if your sitting at a dock with this setup and your ski takes on water the bilge will not go on unless your there to see it. thats the reason for a float switch and wire direct to batt with inline fuse. so if your not around, say good bye to your ski. this is really bad advice video. sorry to say, as i LOVE your content

    • @rickss69
      @rickss69 3 месяца назад

      Direct to the battery means stacking terminals which is a proven loser approach. Using the already provided fuse panel is the correct way.
