I just got my Fish Pro Trophy last week and love it. Still working out the kinks with gear, tackle, proper anchoring, etc. Your videos have been very helpful! I am fishing the Chesapeake Bay; lower Bay on the Virginia side.
How exciting for you, the Trophy is an absolute fishing weapon! Pleased to hear my videos are helpful. I send orders to the US all the time, please shout out if I can be of any help 👍
Hi James, cheers for watching, there will be plenty of happy new owners. I will complete a walk around video in the coming weeks of my 2023 Trophy that I have now taken delivery of👍
Hey, i found your vid saying you're 5'8" 265lbs, so this video should answer my concerns about that swivel seat as I'm 6'3" 255. If it can hold you it should hold me. Appreciate you even mentioning your weight. Everyone avoids that part in these reviews.🔥
Hi, cheers for watching, I’m not sure which video you watched but you may have those figures confused Im approximately 180 pound and 5’8” Hope that helps
Awesome! I’m planning to buy the 2023 model, but I’m new to fishing. Do you have videos where you explain in details the baits you’re using and how to properly cast it, the rod movements, the line material, the leader, etc… it’ll be great, thanks
Andrew I'm from Bay Area Cal. Just got your sea doo dock ties, camera pole attachment and those high cold weather fishing socks... thanks! Don't get what everyone is talking about as I have the 2022 Fish Pro Trophy with swivel seat.
Hi, congrats on you to getting a Trophy. My gear is NOT 3D plastic printed, it’s heavy duty custom made and will have my signature on it jetskifishing.co.nz/collections/sea-doo-fish-pro-accessories
In Australia, they didn't come with the swivel seat due to "safety issues." tbh I think, that's a load of bullshit. I reckon the swivel seat was a great after-thought, and they thought wtf are going to do with all these non swivel seats.. let's just send the standard shitty limited seat down under coz we wouldn't notice our American friends having one. Although the new Explorer here has it.
@@davouchi1 yes you are correct the 2022 Trophy in Australasia was sold as a saltwater platform and didn’t include the freshwater anchor setup or swivel seat, it did include the tech package and a road cover all at a lesser price than the North American unit. This year (2023)the Trophy does include the seat and anchor without the road cover in all regions and as expected it will carry a higher retail price. It’s great that Sea-Doo have listened to the demand and now made it available for everyone, I’m looking forward to seeing others make use of the luxury of the swivel seat in salt water conditions this year 👍
@@jetskifishing Hi , is it correct that the 2023 explorer for australia has the swivel seat ? , I have not seen that shown in other reviews . I like the idea of the bow rail . the windscreen & height adjustable h/bars but am hardcore fisho , I want the best of both ,the fishpro trophy & explorer including livebait tank , twin batteries etc.
@@barbraabsalom4531 the Explorer Pro does not include the swivel seat and also won’t have the advanced double battery kit or live well option. The Trophy has all the features you are after👍
Im in two minds about whether to buy the fishpro or the GTR 230. The fishpro has all the features I like but is it powerful enough to still tow a biscuit? or carry two decent sized people? it only has a 170 hp whereas the gtr has the 230hp
You would be very impressed with the torque and power of the 170 horse engine. I often fish two up and tow the kids on the sea biscuit, more power than I need.
On the bigger fish with the shorter rod it’s a bit more challenging. Generally on the elevated seat it’s great for stretching the legs, better 360 degree viewing and getting out of the straddling main seat position!
Normally I just pull my ski up the bow on to the beach by hand after shutting the engine off in knee deep of water, it will normally sit there fine while I go get the car. Otherwise people will use a sand anchor at beach which is basically a soft bag that they fill with sand or stones to add weight so it is enough to hold ski in shallow water while you get the car and trailer.
@@calsportsclub North America included the swivel seat and anchor in 2022, the Australasia version didn’t . For 2023 all regions are the same now and include the seat and anchor👍
There is a rear boarding ladder on the Fish Pros and you could climb over the cooler (or otherwise remove cooler from in the water with the release latches) Typically if reboarding the ski you would only get back up on via the side gunwale, the hull has lots of stability and is easy for most people to slide their backside into the footwell.

The swivel seat looks great, much more comfortable for catching big fish. 😎
Keep up the good work young man you have sold me on getting one of those Sea-Doo fish pro trophies and I look forward to it the day I get it thank you

Might be worth discussing with your local dealer in the new year to see what is involved with fitting it from the spare parts listing.

Great video - Is this the 2023 model?
Its a 2023 spec’d Trophy with all the components on my 2022…
does it ever feel like you are too high for the center of gravity on these big boys? Looks like it pulls pretty hard
On the bigger fish with the shorter rod it’s a bit more challenging. Generally on the elevated seat it’s great for stretching the legs, better 360 degree viewing and getting out of the straddling main seat position!
How do you anchor jetsky when pulling out trailer out of water?

Thanks for the video. I have the 2022 Fish Pro Trophy. Is there any way to add it to a 2022?
There is quite a number of components required to add the swivel seat, at this stage it is not a retro fit option.
