Great job explaining the new Fish Pro Apex. You have made a few of the other tubers who are at that show and showing this new Fish Pro look elementary, I really enjoyed watching your explanation on this Sea Doo. Keep up the great work. Sea Doo is lucky to have someone like you.
@@seadoolife-k2g thank you, it’s always nice to hear viewers enjoy the detail I offer with my videos. I fortunately have had a lot to do with the Sea-Doo FISHPRO project and I am super passionate about the industry and products. I really appreciate you taking time to comment, I am always grateful to be working doing what I love with the people and Sea-Doo!
Great video Andrew. Superb job showing its capabilities. It has come a long way since my 2019 Fish Pro. Thanks
@@firemedic811 you are so right, it’s amazing all the additional features and luxuries we now have on the various model FISH PROs
Hope you are enjoying your 2019!
got myself the sport 3 years ago. Best decision ever!
@@dontellufishing so great to hear you are still enjoying it 😄
Can't wait to see this beast down at Bucklands Beach mate !!! Nice walk around video. Safe travels back.
Cheers Simon, it’s looks awesome in person. I’ll message for you for a viewing once I have it ready in NZ 👍
really nice tour of the NEW jet ski ! thank you
@@harbdhariwal9665 thanks, it sure is a nice machine, it has so many features!
Wow, the 170hp I thought was plenty fast, especially in sport, can't imagine what another 130 more hp will do. I like the Explorer additions of the Windshield and front bar.
@@gpaje you are so correct, 170 horsepower is great and now there is some serious acceleration with higher top end! Stretched arms no doubt at those supercharged speeds. The Windshield and heavy duty grab handle sure are a winner, thanks for watching!
Great video Andrew they are lucky to have you as Ambass are you getting one to show off to us?
@@EUCRAZY_AU thanks for letting us know you enjoyed the video. I am excited to be receiving a Sea-Doo FISHPRO Apex later in the year 🎣
@@jetskifishingawesome bro keep up the great work
So its a GTX 300 limited then. The dual battery is a good idea, but Id still side with the 170 as the super charger adds extra risk for dramas out at sea
@@bitcoinbeast hi, some owners love the thrill of going as fast as they can. I know many Sea-Doo fishermen who converted existing 230/260 and 300 horsepower skis with deck extensions, sounders and coolers so they could have their version of a high horsepower FISHPRO. The Apex is more featured than a GTX300 Limited, the FISHPRO Apex has many more unique features on it, it includes the Cooler with 7 Rod holders, 9” Sounder, Live well system, Anchor, Dual Battery System, configured fishing seat, plus swivel chair, footrests, trolling mode, windshield, heavy duty grab handle etc.
@@jetskifishing Fair play, I had a GTX 300 that I fished from but I sold it due to non stop supercharger and iDF issues, in the market for a 170 now. For me I want the reliability as fishing in the UK throughout the winter months is super unforgiving
@@bitcoinbeast I totally get your reasoning. Naturally aspirated economy and reliability is hard to beat! Some people just want to go as fast as you can and inshore fisherman, river and lake riders are going to have some serious fun on the Apex 😀
@@jetskifishing Good luck with the sales, a 74mph fishing ski is definately a weapon! ✌🏻
@@bitcoinbeast in New Zealand we often get a fish feeding frenzy with Dolphins, Birds and fish! On the nice flat days, hunting the workup activity would be super cool on the Apex at speed 😎
Lot of people saying good and bad about this and that.
Me personally.... i love it. We always wanted a 300 for fun without the cooler but also to take fishing too so perfect for my family. Also you're a legend Andrew keep up the good work representing nz jet ski fishing.
@@shaneriseley7878 thanks Shane, you are so right, many giving their opinions on what was already requested by so many, a supercharged FISHPRO. Great to hear you like it the latest ski and I’m always grateful I got the opportunity to add my experience to Sea-Doo and represent NZ’s learnings.
Like the options on the new FishPro Apex. All except the 300HP, so not necessary. It’s all mute though, it’s too expensive, 30k minimum by the time it’s out the door! For that price I’d look for an entry level boat.
@@christopherc4814 it’s extremely feature rich and definitely going to be an exciting ski to get to and from the fishing grounds. The massive 300 horsepower won’t be for everyone, but being Limited Edition there will be enough demand and buyers throughout the world who want the best of the best of what’s available from Sea-Doo, I can’t wait to get mine out on the water. Thanks for watching, it’s pretty special for us to see how committed BRP are to fishing with four different options now available for anglers in the Sea-Doo range 👍
Awesome Andrew!!
@@robertforsey2275 thank you!
Nice Vid! I'll stick with my Trophy because I love the visibility on the water.
@@shanekelly7770 the Trophy rocks, I will still be running one of mine :-)
Great review Andrew 👍
@@jimzenglish1 thanks James, still in the USA :-) I’m flying back tomorrow, it’s been lovely weather. 40 degree days and I also did the Catalina Island ride the other day on a Trophy 👍
I wish the trolling mode has a .5 mile increments instead of 1 mile increments, so we can fine tune the salmon lures with rotating flashers…
@@jeremypai9993 there has been some discussion over more speed increments, hopefully in time the speed range on FISHPRO models is enhanced👍
Great coverage of the new model
What’s the rrp for nsw, Australia
How many are they making if it’s a limited model
@@georgeparis6729 thank you, the RRP is AUS $ 35,999 excluding registration
As far as limited edition production numbers, I am yet to get confirmation of the final production run ( I was happy to hear that overall Global dealer orders for this model has been extremely high)
Amazing
I hope Sea-Doo puts this engine on the Explorer Pro too
@@airstone1673 nice to hear you too appreciate the thrill of the 300 horsepower engine 👏
Damn... what a beauty
@@saiyofox8012 sure is, I can’t wait to get out on it catching fish 😄
I have one FishPro Trophy 2023. Do you think it's worth the upgrade to one Apex? Remembering the Trophy 2025 didn't have any changes. So my Jet remains actual.
@@luizfelipepaes9433 congrats on your Trophy, the Apex is a whole new beast! If you are the type of person who likes the best of everything and want the supercharged horsepower, the Apex 300 is worth considering.
So how fast? The trophy is about 55mph, correct?
@@Deepimpactocean 67.5 mph North America spec and 69 mph other regions…
Add bimini sun shade option.
@@wrongsend7106 that would be very handy in some regions, only limitation is it would get in the way with fishing rods…
Ultimate speed is overrated..
Why rush when you can enjoy everything chilled and relaxed 🙂
I get it, many times I enjoy the moment and tranquility but often the race to and from the spots on the nice days is still super exciting👍
That looks like the Explorer Pro
@@nojabformeeducateyourself3393 yes it has a few of the Explorer Pro attributes added and many more unique features 😄
The seat look likes it needs a new design with a more sealed weather proof looking clamp down design for engine safety incase you get flipped over because when you took it off it looks very cheaply made and a lower power fuel economy engine definitely needs to be a option!
@@Ras-wisdom I have been Jetskifishing for over 17 years now and the FISHPRO hull design would have the driest engine bay out of all the brands and models I have ridden 👍 it’s pretty well sealed, though I’m sure Sea-Doo will continue to improve and enhance the product in years to come. There is already other models in their fishing range that are more economical, they offer a 130 and 170 horsepower engine to for fishing :-)
@@jetskifishing the way the pilot seat looked like to me its very very easy to remove & i don't see any place in the opening of the engine bay where the seals below the seat meet to prevent water from entering the bay especially if the jet ski is over turned from a high wave or bad maneuver letting the seat coming off on its own!
@@Ras-wisdom the main seat has a heavy duty release clip at the back of the seat and decent rubber seals beneath it. I personally ride very aggressively off shore and I expect it could only be a rider error to actually completely overturn a FISHPRO as they are designed with a low centre of gravity… the FISHPRO Apex is the best of the best and no doubt out of the tens of thousands of people already enjoying this hull type, maybe somebody has encountered this experience you are concerned about.
@@jetskifishing we both got our own views but i still think all these jetski companies need do better on the seats and have at least three to four clamp down areas on the seat not just one in rear you stated thats why real rough sea riders have to always manually install seat straps on their jetski seats to prevent seats from popping off and flood the engine and sink it deeper making it harder to recover easily in the deeps!
Great tour - would you get one?
@@dazzler5012 thank you, yes I am getting an Apex 300
I really like all the features just wish it was not a limited edition and they could have one that came with the 170 or 230 hp. Do you have any idea of the fuel economy on that unit?
@@paulhuval Hi Paul, it will depend on sea state and how heavy you are on the throttle. On ECO mode it makes 33mph/53kph at 4800rpm, and by those stats should still have 120 + kilometres range… I will learn more once getting out on the water in its natural environment.
@@jetskifishing thanks for the response 👍
My 230 does over 70 miles an hour. I wonder what this 300 will do? By the way, how much does this monster cost?
@@chrisciccarelli1586 much the same top end, it will just be faster getting there. US price $24,499 👍
Hi Andrew, many thanks. What is the US$ Intended MSRP?

What is the fuel efficiency when u say offshore fishing
How shallow can it run?
@@Rockriverunter at idle it needs to be in knee deep of water… if you are to shallow you risk sucking up stray debris through the jet pump intake
What is the range on this model?
@@JamesDavis-cf4bb I am yet to personally ride the FISHPRO Apex 300 on my New Zealand adventures. I should have some real life data in the coming months once I start using the Apex in my local conditions. In past experience while using supercharged skis, depending on riding speeds and conditions, I use to get 75-80% range of the naturally aspirated skis if not riding on open throttle.
A electric motor integrated would be great
@@jasethejewman I’m sure in time that technology will be developed for personal watercraft 👍
Take my money
I thought the Trophy was cool, the Sea-Doo FISHPRO Apex is next level 😎
And why can't you jacks put the 325 ho in the switch ya put it in a ski
@@dugied3557 that would be cool, I driven the 230 Switch! I could only imagine how much fun a 325 version would be 😄
Just bought a 2024 FP Trophy. Really needs scuppers and a bilge pump. Pop up cleats are nice. But the extra speed? Meh….
@@duchessofwinward2798 there sure are many nice attributes on the FISHPRO Apex, in time some of the features could roll through to the other models in the Sea-Doo range. Rest assured all the additional features owners are continually requesting are on the radar but be patient as good things take time. We are very fortunate to see how seriously Sea-Doo took the fishing segment, they now have four models in the fishing range and I’m grateful there is now something to suit everyone.
That supercharged engine will need 93 octane, more maintenance, and burn 30% more fuel. No thanks!
@@mark33328 I hear you but plenty will still embrace owning the fastest fishing ski on the market to suit the flat water conditions they enjoy.
Seadoo lost the plot. Fishermen are not gung ho hoons. Most of the time they are stationary fishing. The 170 is fast enough on its own.
@@Trevdeclune the Sport 170 and Trophy sure are great all rounders but reality is there are millions of fishers around the world and some will like the best of everything including speed. I am realistic that people will make up their own mind where their priorities stand for the perfect machine. Sea-Doo have been in the fishing market for over 6 years now and being a Global company familiar with the market demands, I expect they will have more accurate data than you and me. I wish them all the best with success on this latest FISHPRO platform, Sea-Doo has changed our lives with ready to go fishing platforms 👍
There’s hoons in every pastime 😁
So just get the 130 or 170 then. Why do you can if they offer more?! Bizarre comment.
Wrong bongo..... I get 70 to 100 miles offshore to fish....I am not wasting decent weather or conditions going hull speed. There and back, fast. Safer, and if stuff happens, I have more options.
And if the jet carbon seal leaks the ski just sinks. No thanks that's why I sold mine.
Junk!!
@@jeffbryner5355 really, it was especially well received at its reveal in front of thousands of attendees. It is in a league of its own as far as personal watercraft fishing platforms, I am very proud of the finished product 👍
@jetskifishing for the 30k out the door after fees trailer etc you can buy a slightly used fishing boat amd have way more options. Most people don't have 30k to drop on a pwc just to fish because let's be honest what else are you going to do with it? Everyone I have see talk about on line has said it was to expensive and bitched because it didn't have a trolling motor and the switch did. I don't think this will sell well. I have yet to see anyone fish from a ski at any lake I have ever been too.
@@jeffbryner5355 hi Jeff, much appreciated to know your perspective and sounds relative. Being limited edition and with 100’s of millions of fisherman throughout the world I am positive there will be enough anglers where the FISHPRO Apex 300 is going to be on demand. Forward orders have already been positive and 300 horsepower on the water is some serious fun getting to the fishing grounds. All the best with your fishing and thank you for taking time to watch the video and comment 👍
@jetskifishing we will see I don't think you will ever see these in a pro tournament. 300hp your still only limited to 65ish miles and hour I know people with metal flat bottom boats with 150 outboards running that fast. You got a 1000+ pound ski ounce it's loaded down and bearly any room for moving around and no trolling motor. I mean right no it seems like a Gimmick but time will tell I guess. Thanks for the chat 😁
