Exam tomorrow. Just started studying. Got 5 hours left. Wish me luck lol.
Beezy DoItAll how'd you do
Yoo, I constantly feel some type of way whenever I see a comment like this and the person never comes back with an update so... it's my time baby!.......Smashed that exam.
good work i got one on fridaY! will keep the youtube fam posted
howd you do
Elie Ndala in the same position but I got 2 hours left...
his writing with the mouse is better than my hand writing
Well, he's most likely using a track pad for drawing in the screen
I was so confused as to exactly how one nucleus can divide into two because textbooks are so vague. Thank you
Yes textbooks are too confusing
I’m in 8th grade taking a living environment course. You’ve helped me significantly in understanding much of what I’ve covered!
Seeing this in online classes ? COVID 19!!
hahahahahahah
Yes
Ya gyal same here
I think there should be another name for a "chromosome" when it is replicated into two sister chromatids (duosome?). This new entity is essentially two chromosomes lassoed together and yet we still refer to it as "a chromosome", which can be confusing for students when describing mitosis/meiosis.
Yes! 100% agreed. Duosome, like you suggested, or anything will do. As long as there's a new name.
agreed
Not only that, but in both high school and my undergrad I encountered tricky test questions that specifically targeted how many ‘chromosomes’ are in the cell at any moment. Why it persists to be this way and teachers keep hammering on it is absurd
@@55123Swiftfoot I just had that yesterday that's why I watched this video lol it was the only question I got wrong
Thank you This was clear , very helpful ! And I understood everything even tho english is mi second language so it's double work done
I really wish I could work for Khan Academy. I have worked in Biology/Husbandry fields and would relish the opportunity to teach. Thank you so very much for all you have given back to the world. Cheers.
2 hours left and i still have a long way to go!
Mid-terms anyone?
Just finished my GCSEs and NOW I’m getting interested in this stuff
1:10 "Lets DRAW ourselves a cell"
Copy and Paste
Lol
*to save time
my teacher only have us a few worksheets and expected us to learn it ourselves without any material. we are a pre ap class NOT a dual credit class which basically you teach most of it to yourself. this is the most help I've been able to find with accurate information. thank you so much.
I think in Biology interphase should be taught before delving into mitosis and meiosis … bc it gives a better understanding . I took biology and it wasn’t factored in which is why I came to khan bc I am a different learner . If I don’t understand “the how “ I can’t learn the material … so once again thank you Khan/ presenter
perfectly explained thanks!
i am learning this in 9th standard .......... too rough syllabus for us . ICSE
Well thx for making such a nice video.....
Thank you so much! Learned a TON
IT WAS VERY HELPFUL
Bio test tomorrow and I only have 2 1/2 hours left to study and i just started oof
Very clearly explained! Thank you!
didn't know dj vlad taught biology
I can’t thank you enough for explaining that when the chromosome makes a copy of itself, it’s still one chromosome. I was confused for so long….
Perfect timing :) have a final on this (and mitosis and other stuff) tomorrow
Im here in 2021 ......
Thanks alot !!!
thank you so much got a big test tomorrow
These videos are so, so helpful and easy to understand - thank you
I don't know how and why you teach everything better than my college profs
Good explanation!👍
Thank youuùu exam next week this is going to help me so much
Very Helpful
2:42 "my toe sis"
Omar Masri I was thinking thattt
what did the brother cell say to the sister when she stepped on his toe?
@@kiros5854 who knows
So helpful thank you
a perfect one which i expected . thank u
AP Bio 2019?
Yass
nope 7th grade science
Amazing video 👍👍👍
Thanks! You helped me for my bio exam tmrw!
Love love love your voice.
Love his voice too!
It isn't too much good..
I'm watching this 1 week before my Final Term Exams begin. Wish me luck!
As always, very helpful! The khan Academy videos address the points of confusion in a convenient way. here for example, the confusion about number of chromosomes was resolved for me. Can you also list n and c values? ( n being the number of chr sets and c being the copy number, I think)
Thank you!
What about the G0 stage of interphase?
Jamie Jones not funny
Yeah. I was wondering about that too.
Assassin Dude there is a G0phase in a interphase named g node phase in this phase cell cycle can remain arrested in G1 phase .then g1is called as G0phase (quiescent phase) cell in this phase is metabolically active but no division
*Thank You*
THANK YOU!
Thank you so much ☺️
You're my new hero!!! Thanks
i laughed so hard on the microphone...
guess it'll be really hard to see through that....
awesome vid, thank you:)
is there a video going in further detail about the protein signals involved in the different stages of interphase? thanks in advance
Thank u
Studying for medicine entrance examination. You saved my studying Khan😅
exam tomorrow.i just started studying.only 12 hours left.wish me luck
lol same
got resofast tomorrow tnx
Studying, 1 hour before test wish me luck
test tomorrow. thank you.
Myda Baig and I have a problem and I am unable because of this game I am sure the developer will have the game and I have a problem and I have to wait for the game to play it again and again I have to wait for the game to play the game again and again it won't let you get a full year without a game
what about Go interphase?
thank you :)
Really helpful. :)
what happens to the mitochondria during interphase? please reply asap
Butt
all organelle replicate.:-)
Isn't g2 when the organelles replicate inside the cell aswell?
Finals are monday, wish me luck
Thank you man i was so confused how there is the same number of chromosomes.
Wicked thank you so much
I really want to know what board do u use
Got exam about biology guys wish me luck on the test tomorrow

didn't you mention about check points
in g1 the kromosom is haploid or diploid?
parfait
Soo.. exactly when does chromatin form into chromosomes?
when the cell is dividing
Any other college students that didn’t retain any of this information from high school?
As biology here!?
Y'all are here because you're cramming before an exam. I am here because I'm giving a lecture tomorrow and need refreshers.
Where is G0 phase sir??????
Isnt that the resting phase after mitosis? :^
Wondering why he didn't explain the checkpoints.
Aren't centrioles duplicate in Gap1??
no
لطيفة عبدالله that's on my book as well. it says at the end of G1, centrioles duplicate at the centrosome matrix.
I love you
do enjoy his lessons. Don't enjoy using headphones and hearing his swallowing. He is too close to the mic. Thanks for a great explanations though =)
Hi
this video really helpful for me as the deadliner :) exam week soon, wish me luck
what is cytokinesis mean
dividing of cytoplasm. it happens after Telophase
( last phase of mitosis)
First
You didn't even explain what's goes on in G1, or G2 like why is the cell growing/whats growing. G1- its growing because the cell is making carbs, lipids, and proteins. In G2- the cytoplasm is growing. Or even how the chromatin gets wined up..
Thanks! I was wondering about that too...
In G1 more organelles are synthesized, but he didn't explain at all G2
Im taking a test rn lmao
Ooo
my.. tosis

If 1 chromosome is copied how it is still 1 chromosome 5:13
neet
I’m sorry, but the way replication is explained is super shoddy, it could easily confuse someone who had just started delving into the subject into thinking there’s more chromosomes/chromatids than what’s actually the case. In a nutshell, the DNA replicates and what was once a single chromosome now becomes two identical copies which are called the chromatids. However, these two chromatids are not separated yet, but are still attached together at the centromere (a well-known X shape) in a single structure; this structure is still known as a chromosome which is made up of two sister chromatids. They eventually separate in anaphase, which is when they become individual chromosomes.
isn't it the opposite like 1 chromatid and 2 chromatids make 1 chromosome?

Who heard DNA
It is BTS song
Get the hell on with it. just tell us wtf it does
THANK YOU 💖
