- In this video we take a look at the Kanjo Spec'd hood dampers / hood struts for the Nissan 370Z. I'll show what all comes in the box when you order, detail how to install hood struts on your 370Z, and show how well they perform.
Hood dampers are a must if you do a ton of work on your car / show your car in shows. These struts hold the hood up some you no longer need to use the ugly oem hood prop which gets in the way of the engine bay. These high pressure struts lift the hood with ease but aren't too hard on the hood when fully extended, making it easy to close as well.

Looks like a solid replacement for the factory installed "stick" that holds up the hood.
I have the Z1 house brand hood props. Look very similar to these. Good video.
I was curious about the weight of your CF hood versus the OEM aluminum one. Was there a significant difference and do the hood vents let water into the engine bay when it rains or you wash the car? Thanks and good luck in your new place.
I have a question, have you heard of MAF sensor reading bad due to location of the sensor. Like causing major drivability issues and tuning issues. Supposedly the issue was resolved in the newer kit by running the MAF’s before the throttle body’s
I have hood struts, and I’m planning on getting a carbon fiber hood. I didn’t think about the stress it could cause to the cf hood.

Honeycomb carbon fiber is a weave that became available a few years ago. Several companies now make parts with that option, the hood was made by fly1 motorsports.

Where did you end up putting coolant reservoir?
My coolant resevoir is off to the left side if the engine. If you watch my supercharger install video, it will show you where it's tucked away.
