I figured Din would give Bo-katan the Darksaber instead of dueling for its possession. They've become such formidable partners that it was the only option. Bo-katan did save Din from the Grievous droid thingy, and did rescue him from the Living Waters. This is The Way.
its so lame, why even include him training with it and telling people it belonged to him? we get, Bo is better than Din in every way and she's the new main character now, awesome.
They'll end up together; they'll be Grogu's Mando parents. I'm calling it. To answer your closing question, I loved the episode. Especially the ending. I loved the season honestly.
Sir Grogu First Of His Name, Foundling Of The Mudhorn Clan Of Two, Student Of Skywalker, Jedi Of Mandalore and Royal Knight Of The Ancient Order Of Independent Regencies
I think this is setting us up for Djin to become Bo-Katan's husband and ultimately Grogu as their founding and adopted child as a ruling family of Mandalore. It will become the story of the three who became the clan of one.
@@TK-592 The indications from the last two episodes indicate something afoot. The Forger mentioned in passing two of the creed could see each others faces if they were a couple in a relationship. Bo-Katan had taken more than a passing interest in Grogu almost a maternal pride helping him face another founding opponent in that paintball dart contest. A curious look has crossed the face of Bo-Katan when Djin spoke to the Uggnaughts. One that she was impressed or briefly smiling in interest. These events are putting them together more and more..and Bo-Katan again was happy about Grogu being knighted. In the beginning her relationship with Djin was indifferent save when it met her agenda. And it was her sole tunnel vision with the Darksaber and not leaving the bridge to help find Grogu that lost her the Darksaber in the first place. It was Djin who showed honor admitting that he lost it to a foe on Mandalore and it was Bo-Katan who saved him. Yet she hasn't even mentioned even seeing the Mythosaur to Djin at all she mentioned it to the Forger only. But gradually she is changing and I feel somehow Djin is not finished in the destiny of the rebirth of Mandalore..particularly with Thrawn and Gideon out there as main threats and a whole Imperial fleet behind them. The New Republic we have seen is not the Rebel Alliance not by a long shot. I am thinking the message is going to be the alliance they have forged along the way and the FAMILY will overcome the odds. I get the distinct feeling she will offer Djin a place at her side. Whether he accepts or not is the question.
I loved this episode and teared up at the end, as it reminded me of Rebels when Sabine Wren gave Bo Katan the dark saber. The Mandalorians are rebuilding their world and status in the galaxy. The ending was epic. Bo Kantan continues to show her power and growth. Mando shows his leadership and wisdom, and Grogru keeps being adorable. We see an excellent translation of the "Filoniverse" from animation to live action. Bryce Dallas Howard needs to be the next Star Wars film director.
I still think Moff's escape is either a set-up (Moff getting back for the Mando's capturing him), OR Sabine and Ashoka grabbing him to interrogate him about Thrawn.

@Mary Cherry, 16:14 Isn't that precisely why? We know from Gideon, last season, that the story behind how one got the sword is what's important to their culture. Din couldn't give the sword to Bo-Katan without a crowd present. Everyone needed to hear the story because that's their culture. Giving the sword to Bo-Katan was likely the easiest thing for Din to do--he didn't want it in the first place. All he wanted was Grogu, remember. When Bo-Katan wouldn't accept him, he kept it, of course. But I felt he was holding on to it so that he could someday give it back to her, as she helped him get back the one thing (person) he wanted. He knows Bo-Katan wants this sword more than anything and he knew that he couldn't just give it to her from last season, so he waited until the right time immerged, and it was now.
Yeah, I assumed Din would have jumped on the opportunity to give her the dark Sabre after that rescue on Mandalore. Seeing it happen now, I guess they just saved it for a later plot point.
I also think he mentioned difficulty remembering things that happened right after he was captured. It may have taken him a while to stitch the memories together, perhaps assisted by whatever his helmet was able to record of the incident. I think he just didn't know how to bring it up until this moment presented itself.
I said it before when Bo-Katan saved Din and I’ll say it again, ALL HAIL QUEEN BO-KATAN KRYZE!!!! She needed to fall out of favor with her fleet because she needed to go back to her roots on Mandalore as well as spend time with the Children Of The Watch to completely rethink what it means to truly be Mandalorian. And Lizzo was good, but freaking JACK BLACK and CHRISTOPHER LLOYD! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯These men were such a massive part of my childhood. Also I’m 100% for droid rights!
I've read that the Ahsoka series will be released in 2023. It could be we'll see her in the final chapter, the same way we saw Boba Fett at the end of season 2.
If anything, we see Sabine in ep 7, Dave is co writing, and then we get a cliffhanger/setup at the end of the last episode, or in a post credit scene, but maybe not, cause star wars celebration might reveal that stuff in the ahsoka trailer instead.

I enjoyed this episode! To me, this season is more about Bo Katan and the culture. I can understand why some people have checked out but I'm enjoying the growth of other characters and them trying to expand the world of Star Wars and the Mandalorian.
To be fair, most people checked out before the season even started. They're either Gina Carano stans or they're pissed about luke giving up Grogu in book of beta fett. To be fair, I can't blame either group. The only reason I'm still around is because I dig Katee Sackhoff.
I would consider myself incredibly critical and skeptical and I had a great time right up until the darksaber handling I wasn't a fan of that. My only complaint with this episode is Lizzo's acting left a lot to be desired. Also they better have some new badass weapon for Din. Yes olease!
🤔 - that might be an interesting casting......
Din never wanted to lead, that was a given. Given some issues, it is more Bo story, next 2 eps should be deep an we will see if well past grogo who leads, but sayign that. Ashoka is now coming in a few months, an any shortcomings/hints this sseason of mando as started gest finished, plus well all the crazy stuff the teaser has promised. Be cool if you showed a teaser reaction.
i doubt that that battle droid shold be able to run and parcourlike that. If they had that capabilitys, the seperatist would won the war xD
Anybody else ended up getting "I, Robot" vibes from this episode? Especially with Din's mistrust of droids being similar to Will Smith's character?
I totally got 'I, Robot" vibes, but Asimov's book. Totally forgot about the Will Smith movie.
Yes Mary you are 100% correct this has been the weakest season so far. Not sure what happened with the direction of this season.
You should watch the clone wars
