"This was, sort of, stepping out of our spacesuit and coming down to Earth and putting on a pair of Osh Kosh and digging the furrows ... we would have to bring the music in, to support the texts: Hunter's Holy Grail" - Mickey Hart
The three-CD set featuring the original album with newly remastered sound, plus an unreleased complete concert recorded on February 21, 1971 at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY.
The show was mixed from the 16-track analog master tapes by Jeffrey Norman at Bob Weir’s Marin County TRI Studios and mastered by Grammy® Award-winning engineer, David Glasser, along with restoration and speed correction by Plangent Processes.
If it's vinyl you're after, the WORKINGMAN’S DEAD: 50th ANNIVERSARY VINYL PICTURE DISC, limited to 10K, and Dead.net exclusive colored vinyl has just 2000 copies available. Both feature the newly remastered version of the original album.

I'm here now, in NYC, and walk past the old Fillmore East regularly. I didn't listen to a lot of the Dead back in high school, only in recent times.
Now, every time I pass the Fillmore East I think of all that happened there, all of the music. And the music's still playing, if you listen carefully!

@@philliplind360 I agree to a point. I wonder though, did Hunter play guitar, banjo and pedal steel? Also, when Jerry wasn't occupied with the Dead,he seemed to always be playing something with someone. J.G.B., Merle Saunders etc... In the end, were both right. Without Hunter, there wouldn't have been all the songs near and dear to my heart and no doubt yours.🍄🎶🍄

In the timbers of Fennario, the wolves are running round
The winter was so hard and cold, froze ten feet 'neath the ground
Don't murder me, I beg of you, don't murder me
    Please, don't murder me
I sat down to my supper, 'twas a bottle of red whisky
I said my prayers and went to bed, that's the last they saw of me
Don't murder me, I beg of you, don't murder me
    Please, don't murder me
When I awoke, the Dire Wolf, six hundred pounds of sin
Was grinning at my window, all I said was come on in
Don't murder me, I beg of you, don't murder me
    Please, don't murder me
The Wolf came in, I got my cards, we sat down for a game
I cut my deck to the Queen of Spades, but the cards were all the same
Don't murder me, I beg of you, don't murder me
    Please, don't murder me
    Don't murder me
In the backwash of Fennario, the black and bloody mire
The Dire Wolf collects his dues, while the boys sing 'round the fire
Don't murder me, I beg of you, don't murder me
    Please, don't murder me
    Don't murder me
I beg of you don't murder me
    Please, don't murder me
No no no don't murder me
I beg of you, don't murder me
    Please, don't murder me

No matter what anyone says about the dead, their music is their lives, not just their jobs, and they take it very seriously. I couldn't agree more, they throw in sick backing guitars and little intricacies all the time in their music, and it is such a part of the magic. Peace and love my brother.

@@linshanhsiang It's kind of the other way around. Wolves are canines -- the larger group of animals that include wolves, foxes, domestic dogs, jackals, coyotes, African painted dogs and others. The prehistoric proto-ancestor was probably wolf-like but not a wolf. Your everyday dog is a canine and does have wolf ancestry but referring to your dog as a canine is true, in the same way that referring to you and me as apes is also true.

Country pedal steel players don't like this. They don't get it. What can you do?

But you are the same people who wouldn't even get your victim- your host- medical care, no matter how long or hard or loud she screamed for help. That is what kind of people you are. You excluded her not only from participating in the world, but in your hearts. Guess those people don't deserve compassion just like they don't deserve medical care. But you sure did have your fun with them all those years and are still wearing their crown like you own it. And you couldn't even get them medical care. They were screaming for it, weren't they? Crying? Pleading? Begging?

God doesn't make house calls, but the Devil does. I almost got shot once already by some lesbian longboarders from Portland who wouldn't stop arguing with me on facebook- and about what? About me being ignored, even though I was the only girl at a contest- I didn't get one single photograph, and even knew the photographers. But I am just that photogenic, and not what they are looking for when they say "Skateboard Girl" or "Longboarding Woman"- no they are looking for long blonde haired lesbians to be in love with instead. Seriously there were so many guys who were in love with the girl who couldn't even admit I passed her and her girlfriend before a big race, but that is another story. Especially at our age. The only thing that saved me from a confrontation was the fact I lived with my elderly parents at the time when they came by- and our street is such that they were standing right in the streetlight in front of me- and I also keep the window open. And I'm pretty sure it was those two, with a gun. They were that mad about an argument I refused to give up on until they gaslit me, and I'm actually a certified schizophrenic who has been driven insane, so you can see how that went. And I never give up, especially to stupid assholes. I also got one of my credit card numbers stolen at that time that I had used at the shop she was sponsored by in Portland, coincidentally. Even though I lived in a longboarder's heaven full of nice hills and valleys with little traffic, fabled among the community, they never once showed up to say "Lets go ride together." No, no. But they were all really into guns.

They should have written in a part where all the Starks Dire Wolves are tearing through a bunch of Lannisters to this song. Slow motion Dire Wolf Kill Fest.
